  Hi, someone please help my with my computer laptop screen problem?

  But first, here is my hardware profile:

  Laptop model: Clubhouse G4 1214tx

  Brand CPU: Intel (r) Core i5-2430 M @ 2.40 GHz CPU

  Motherboard model: 166th Hewlett-Packard

  Graphics: (switchable)

  Intel HD 3000 (Hardware ID: PCI VEN_8086 & DEV_0116 & SUBSYS_166E103C & REV_09)

  and

  AMD HD 6470 m (Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_6760 & SUBSYS_166E103C & REV_00)

  So a few days ago, I detected switchable graphic option (who appear generally when I right clikcing in desktop) did not work and shows an error everytime I try to open it (I forgot this error message it is said) and I think that: "no, piece of cake, I'll just update the driver and everything will be back to normal." (never I was so wrong)

  Then I download the driver for my laptop here. AMD HD graphics driver and Intel graphics driver high definition (HD).

  But mistakes, then happened:

  1. when I installed the Intel driver, this error message appears: "the pilot is not validated for this computer. You can get the correct driver drom the computer manufacturer. The installation program will end. "the installation process, then stopped.

  2. when I install the AMD, this error message appears: "Application install: install package error ' installation continues on the race and finished in all cases. but, the option for switching the graphics is completely absent and catalyst control center is empty... more, there are exclamation point in the windows Device Manager

  After pulling my hair out of frustration for a few days, I then download AMD automatic detection utility from here

  Using automatic detection AMD, I installed a new driver as he suggests.

  It seems that works fine, until I realized that the Device Manager indicates that my devices is AMD Radeon 7000 series instead of the AMD Radeon HD 6470 Mr. AND some games don't work well (life is strange and MW3)

  Games runs without any error message whatsoever, but the game screen goes completely blank (yep, empty, without blinking, obscured or whatever, just empty), although we could hear the its game and music, and even when I click on my mouse randomly, could hear the noise of the option. Do not freeze tho, British Colombia, I could always use Alt - tab to minimize the game and go to the office (all is normal while the game is reduced to the minimum).

  I suspect that I must install the driver of HP instead of AMD, but with that "package error" problems, it looks like that's not a solution.

  Anyone know any solution to this problem? Any help would be appreciated

  Finally solved

  -AMD driver somehow did not work well. In my case, it is better to use the official driver of HP

  -To install Driver from HP page without the Application error install: install the package . You must first uninstall the Visual C++ 2010 redistributable "uninstall the program" in the control panel (the driver package will be re - install)

  -Somehow, the FPS drop did not replicate once I upgrade my bios with the latest version (ver. F66 in my case). Maybe you need to match the driver with the bios? I don't know, it just works

  So, I hope that it might help for those who have the same problem.

  I created a new standard account on our computer for our son.  How to make games and programs i.e. itunes, world of warcraft, etc. for transfer from the main account of his new user account.  I created a new account for him and a lot of the transferred programs but without 'data', it's in the main account.  For example, itunes transferred to his new account, but none of its playlists transferred.  It looks like his games transferred, but when you click on the game to open it, nothing happens.
  I created a new account for him we want to set up parental controls for him (for the most limiting internet time).  Our main account is password protected and he doesn't know the password, so whenever he wants to use the computer, it should go to the computer and type the password for him.  I want to be able to access its games and programs with their own account, eliminating the need to we should stop what we are doing to type a password for him.

• Portege A600 Webcam software crashes when changing the settings with the sound muted

  I have a problem with XP Toshiba factory build for Portege A600 and Portege R600.
  If you try to change the sound properties of the Webcam using the Camera Assistant Software with the sound muted, the camera wizard app will hang & Windows fails to shut down or even stop. The only way to stop is pressed the power button until the machine stops.

  So far, the only solution I can come to is to increase the volume to zero rather than using the mute box. The problem is if you forget and mute rather than turning down and then try to change the sound properties, its "game over." In addition, it is not really satisfactory because politics is to keep the machines muted until the sound is required.

  This does not happen with the Vista Build, build it only XP.

  My guess is that this will not happen on any machine using the Chicony Webcam & software with the Realtek HD audio but I have not tried on machines enough yet to be sure. So far, I've recreated on two A600s and a R600. The machines are not defective and you can create the problem, "straight out of the box. Just do the following:
  (1) use the provided Toshiba product recovery DVD for restore factory Toshiba Windows XP SP2 version
  (2) once you have done the whole stuff, mute
  (3) open the Camera Assistant Software application & to select Properties
  4) click the audio settings tab

  That of all, suspended. The Camera Assistant Software version is 1.7.209.0807L which seems to be the last being available for download on the websites of Toshiba.

  I n t have a Portege but U400 with pre-installed and integrated webcam Win XP.
  I installed a clean Win XP and then upgraded the XP to the last State and installed all the drivers available from the Toshiba page and possible.

  I followed the steps in your message and I have to say that I didn t notice strange questions, software webcam still works correctly

  I put t know what could be the problem, but I recommend that you check the audio driver to update maybe you can use the Realtek page
  Also, check if the BIOS has been updated to the current state and if your Windows XP is up to date.

• Satellite C55-A-16Z - graphics card does not work after BIOS update

  I have a portable Satellite C55-A-16Z with windows 8 and a Nvidia geforce 740M graphics card.

  Last week he asked me to update the version of the bios at 1.30.

  Also, when I go into Options power the Intel card is listed and when I disable the card intel in the Device Manager it starts to use the graphic viewer for windows.

  How can I get my Nvidia card to work again?

• What happened to the recovery of the Options software Dfault factory to win 8.

  We recently bought a C50 - B Satellite laptop for one of our boys to use at school (since they decided that the laptop replaces the need for text books) and needed to be implemented. It will be his only machine and it will also use to play games and surf the net. Past experience with his games, he done always something that slows down the system and finally makes it almost unusable, a State that I can't leave because it is necessary for school. I thought I would dualboot, one system for school only and the other for its games so that if its OS is messed up games he can still do his school work on the other OS.

  Microsoft say that, since the OS will be installed on the same computer twice, but that an installation can be run at any time that it does not violate their license agreement, so no problem with legal issues.

  System recovery, in Win7 under "Recovery of Factory Default Software" has three options.
  1 get out-of-box state.
  2 recover without changing the hard drive partitions.
  3. recover a custom size partition. The memory option 2 or 3 allows a 2nd installation of the operating system even though I think as the BCD needed some changes to both work.

  My problem is that the C50 - B comes with Windows 8.1 and the recovery procedure and options have changed. Win 8 / 8.1 seems not to have option 1, or an equivalent, as it says Win 8 s reset is similar to the recovery of Win7s, but this removes the partitions and the existing operating system, so I can't get two operating systems on the computer by using this method.

  Does anyone know a way to dual boot to help to win 8 / 8.1 recovery partition?
  OR is it possible to modify the script to allow options 2 and 3 of Win7?

  Win 7 was not ideal for this, but the deletion of these two options, it is difficult to use other operating systems such as Ubuntu, Linux etc.

  I would like to see the recovery for the other operating systems partition, do not assume that it will be the only OS that requires the user on the machine.

  Windows 7 recovery option is different of options of recovery available in 8 Win / Win 8.1 but of course possible to use a dual boot system (Win 7 / Win 8.1) on a laptop computer.

Has a Celeron processor models also have a motherboard which do no accept a Core (i3, i5, etc.), so you are stuck with maybe a little faster but still lame processor but nothing that will get you where you want to be. The video is a complete non-starter. There is no way in the world to do something with it. Your laptop is to make the work of the office and internet and your best bet is to sell and get something with a graphic power and treatment.

• Solution to large scale y480 problem?

  I was faced with a problem that others seem to be dealing with (without success).

  The problem centers around the Lenovo y480 and running games graphically intensive (such as Battlefield Bad Company 2). While the exact demonstration of the problem varies, in my case, it occurs after trying to play Battlefield Bad Company 2 on Steam, I get something called "Application did not start: error 51.»

  51 error occurs usually when a program interferes with steam, but this isn't the case. I started in diagnosis Mode, where none of the non-Microsoft programs or the service (including firewalls and anti-virus programs) is running, and again, I got the error 51. Obviously, it's a problem with the y480 himself.

  I think that the problem lies in the drivers NVIDIA GeForce 640 M of the of the THE card y480. However, Lenovo Web site has drivers who seem to have broken. For example, when I try to install the nVIDIA drivers, I have the following error: "nVIDIA GL1(QS/PS): installation file cannot be found."

  I even used to Lenovo OneKey Recovery software to restore my computer to factory settings, and I still received the error with steam.

  This isn't an isolated fact impact, as it is clearly within the walls. Anyone know what is the source of the problem, or how it can be fixed?

  I solved the problem. Download the drivers on the Lenovo support site. When you click on the exe file, it will give an error
  Records have always from the right hard disk. Go to the hard drive and click on nvidia or drivers. Don't remember which. There will be two files, one with a 'Gl1' other 'Ge' ge one-click. Go to the bottom and double click on the Setup icon. It will install the 295,55 drivers nvidia. The current drivers of stock are 290.56. Its games once installed steam all works.

  I am doing this memory I hope it's clear enough. Just be aware that drivers on the Lenovo site are beta drivers. 295.55 is a beta version. They work a lot better for sure, but we must push Lenovo to get new operational pilots. This driver is 28 January 2012. Stocks are last December lol.

  Go to the control panel to access the Date and time

  > Check if your time zone is Correct

  > Click on the tab that says time Internet / click on change settings and uncheck the sync with a Web server.

  Change the time and restart, observe the system if it will change again.
