No JAD, JAR, without debugging.

I am a newbie. I'm running the Eclipse plug-in - BB JDE. I created and run successfully the Hello World application in a simulator 8300 using the Eclipse plugin. Earlier, I created a new project for my target app. I created a new Blackberry application. Created my new file source. I can compile cleanly, but get no. JAD or. JAR files, and when I try to debug with a siimulator I do not see my request. What I am doing wrong?

Thanks for any help.

The problem was that I dfid not typing alt - B. Who built the jar and jad and downloaded the file of cod to the Simulator.

Someone tell me where this is documented.

  • Installation of ALX, CSO, JAD, JAR, COD and USB...

    Hello

    When I have my project using Netbeans builin and JDE 4.7 compiler built a lot of file.

    I've got:

    .alx files

    . COD

    . CSO

    . Debug

    .jar

    .jad

    What file I have to install the KEY file by using the USB cable?
    What are the meaning of ALX, CSO, JAR and JAD, if I need to install the COD file?

    You need signed cod and alx file to install the application of desktop (via BB Desktop Manager).

    You need signed file cod and jad file to install the application via OTA.

    The CSO and CSL files are required to sign the application, after signing, you do not have them.

    Also, there is no jar and debug for the installation files.

    Preparing the package of two sets of files, one for the office (COD + alx), one for OTA (COD + jad).

    If the cod in the OTA package file is larger that 64 k rename zip file, extract all the files and delete the zip file.

    Now, install all the cod files (brother) and jad file on the server and make sure that you set the MIME types properly.

  • Problem with the conversion of Midlet (jad/jar) cod file (Jasymca 2.0)

    BB Storm last official OS.

    There is this wonderful program called Jasymca 2.0 which is a combination of programs of mathematics MATLAB and MAXIMA of high-end (subset to fit) and written in J2ME as a MOPED. To see a demo of it, go to http://webuser.fh-furtwangen.de/~dersch/jasymca2/indexEN.html and click on demo on the left. It's quite impressive... able to make the symbolic math and math matrix among others. The ultimate calculator for a PDA... and the best I could find out there.

    The only problem is that it is written in J2ME as a MIDLET and the runtime is stored as a combination of jad/jar. Now, I tried the standard conversion using the CAP as follows...

    CAP import = "C:\Program Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.7.0\lib\net_rim_api.jar" code name is jasymca-midlet jad is Jasymca.jad Jasymca.jar

    It seems to work very well. There are a few warnings about unused variables, but that's fine. The last line was "No Errors".

    .. .and he left me with a file .cod 229K

    When I insert it in my blackberry through javaloader, it loads very well.

    However, when I look in my download directory I 2 files related to Jasymca and not running.

    I suspect that it is because the cod file is too big. Is there another step I can do for the cod of the loadable file?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    -Donald

    It takes more time than I expected.

    There is a preprocessor directives in the source files and to leave JDE to understand these guidelines, I need to modify the jdp.

    I stopped the investigation

    But I will say that I found.

    icons and data files must be located in the default folder.

    If the root folder of the package is src\

    path of the icon should be: src\myicon.png

    for now the icons are located in the src\icons folder

    in this case the image files are not accessible from the BlackBerry App.

    The second: there are some files showed up as the symbol file name first.

    JDE does not add these files to the project.

    I think that the best way would be to contact the developer of Jasymca and talking to him about the Jasymca and porting for BlackBerry

  • check error when start the game after downloading the jad/jar by OTA on BB 8300

    Should I wear a for BB 8800 version J2ME Java game. So far the alx/jad/cod format works fine on BB devices, such as 8800, 8300, 8310. Now I have to commit a jad/jar format. I make the version using proguard 3.8 and WTK22 preverify. On BB 8800, the jad/jar can be downloaded to the device, when it is running the game, there is an error msg 'Error at startup xxxx xxxx for Module a verification error at offset xxxx xxxx', the version is OK on BB 8310, but failed on BB 8800 and 8300.It is so strange. I'm trying to do the version using the preverify CAP and failed once again, use 3.3.2 proguard / 3.7 failed too. It seems that it is a consistent problem.

    I check the article 'Support - MIDlet has error checking to offset' and have no harvest.

    How to fix the bug?

    Thanks for your help.

    Use rapc.exe to jar with proguard not preverify, I corrected the bug. There maybe some problems during transfer cod jar in the device.

  • Providing a signed COD jad/jar for OTA downloads

    I have an app j2me consisting of a jad and a jar file. I want to create a .cod file, sign it and put it on a web server for ota downloads.

    I created the .cod like this (blackberry jde 4.7.0):

    RAPC.exe - code name import = net_rim_api.jar = appname-midlet - jad = appname.jad appname.jar

    This creates a .cod file ok.

    The problem now is that the jad file is not updated with the specific properties of jad from rim.

    I used the http://www.jatfq.com/archives/20 to extract the cod file properties

    java-jar cod2jad.jar appname.cod appname

    This generates the properties that should be added to the jad file:

    RIM-COD-URL: appname.cod
    RIM-COD-size: 77128
    RIM-COD-SHA1: 5 d ca c0 97 59 27 1 d 7B f7 b8 32 48 12 43 b9 a2 e1 9f fb
    RIM-COD-URL-1: appname - 1.cod
    RIM-COD-size-1: 59748
    RIM-COD-SHA1-1: 0 d df c0 87 09 70 82 1f f3 bd 13 a2 0d e9 d5 e4 82 94 17 90
    RIM-COD-URL-2: appname - 2.cod

    RIM-COD-Module-name: appname
    RIM-COD-Module-dependencies: net_rim_cldc
    RIM-COD-creation-Time: 1202924527

    I downloaded the jad file on my web server, define the types for jad and cod mime and unzipped the file cod to provide appname.cod, appname - 1.cod and appname - 2.cod for download.

    It works very well and the blackberry (8900 and 9000 models) are able to download, install and run ok.

    Now to the problem. If I sign the cod file, it is not possible to extract the child main cod cod files to give them for download.

    unzip appname.cod
    Archive: appname.cod
    file #1: bad zipfile offset (lseek): 557056
    file #2: bad zipfile offset (lseek): 630784
    file #3: bad zipfile offset (lseek): 696320

    Is it possible to provide OTA signed applications that consist of more a record of cod of the child?

    How I first connect and then unzip?

    I thought that you said that you couldn't generate a signed COD that would work...

    He is not much of mandatory information that you must provide in the JAD. For example, the SHA-1 hashes are optional. It is pretty trivial to generate a JAD file.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how installer.jad/.jar application (WordWeb)

    I managed to get the files for WordWeb version offline on my memory card using mass transfer, but the installation process fails after about 75%.

    Is it possible to install this program? The .jad file is 4 KB and the .jar WordWeb executable is 7.45 MB

    I wrote on the WordWeb info link and the program designer replied. He said he thought the program was too big for Blackberry. I don't think it is correct that I was able to install the Oxford Concise English Dictionary, which is even more important. Oxford has a very simple installation program which worked perfectly. Too bad... WordWeb is an excellent program, less expensive than Oxford and has a built-in dictionary.

  • in the drive without debugging stack traces

    Hello

    release notes for 11.5 indicate that the non-debug version of the player can provide stack traces now, but I don't see them.  I have to do anything special to access?

    Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_7_5) AppleWebKit/536.26.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0.2 Safari/536.26.17

    Player version: 11.5.502.136

    Mac OS 10.7.5 (64-bit)

    The release notes, I am referring to: http://forums.Adobe.com/message/4827339

    Hello

    Please make sure that your SWF file is published in 18. As indicated in the following document, this feature is only available for the SWF version 18 and above.

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/articles/flashplayer-air-feature-list.html

    Please also note that the stack traces generated in the version non-debug player shows only the names of methods. Full stack trace info including line numbers and the name of the file, a debug version of the player (see content of the debuggers available for download here: http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html) is necessary besides the SWF itself published under a debug SWF.

    Here is an example of using the feature:

    package

    {

              import flash.display.Sprite;

              import flash.text.TextField;

              public class StackTraceTestCase extends Sprite

              {

                        public var console:TextField = new TextField();

                        public function StackTraceTestCase()

                        {

                                  console.width = stage.stageWidth;

                                  console.height = stage.stageHeight;

                                  console.border = true;

                                  this.stage.addChild(console);

                                  foobar1();

                        }

                        private function foobar1():void {

                                  foobar2();

                        }

                        private function foobar2():void {

                                  foobar3();

                        }

                        private function foobar3():void {

                                  foobar4();

                        }

                        private function foobar4():void {

                                  foobar5();

                        }

                        private function foobar5():void {

                                  try {

                                            var myVar:String = null;

                                            /*

                                             * This results in Null Reference error.

                                             */

                                            console.appendText(myVar.toString());

                                  } catch ( error:Error ) {

                                            console.appendText(error.getStackTrace());

                                  }

                        }

              }

    }

    And the output generated by the non-debug version of the player:

    TypeError: Error #1009

              at StackTraceTestCase/foobar4()

  • How can I start to debug when iOS package hangs just outside the compilation without debug mode?

    Hello

    I have an application that I'm migrates from the web to mobile, and I recently encountered a problem where it will crash on the charge, but _ONLY_ when they are packed for liberation as well as iOS.

    FOR EXAMPLE:

    1. for Android, works at

    -Emulator

    -USB debugging

    -release mode compilation

    2. for iOS, works in:

    -Emulator

    -fast compilation USB debugging

    -USB debugging standard compilation

    Doesn't work in:

    -compile ad hoc

    Initially, I thought it was because of loading SWF with ActionScript, but even after replacing these files with static JPEG, it always crashes.

    I commented all the traces, after another report by the forum that has listed the tracks as a problem with ad-hoc compile.

    I tried mobile bundle strings resources out of the sight of problem that these channels are not displayed in the view of problem (but do it somewhere else).

    In all cases, the result is the same:

    Discover loads then freezes before he gets far enough set navigatorContent property (declared in MXML) so it hangs just with no. visible labels.

    Have you tried a number of things to debug it and twenty minutes by compilation, there is a limit to how much I _can_ try, so, please, please, someone has an idea of where to look the potential problems that could be causing my application to fail?

    Thank you

    Gaius

    I have it.

    I used the Swiz (which is awesome, btw) framework and compilation of the library of Swiz rather that to use the CFC that I needed a change to the base, I forgot one of the metadata tags since the compiler args - for some reason, recovered by operating in any other mode of compilation, it crashed when running in release mode.

  • iOS package hangs in any mode of compiling without debugging

    Hello

    I'm really looking for ideas on where to start looking!

    This is the situation:

    I'm migrating a large enough flex, web project for mobile. He is the third generation and I had the whole thing working at different times in different forms. It loads the channels via the resource group and content through external SWF content.

    I've recently converted to use a view architecture so I load in the main application view after a selection process - which means that there is much faster startup and better performance in general. It works very well in the following compilations:

    1 compile for Android (all kinds)

    2 compile for iOS debug (fast)

    3 compile for iOS debug (standard)

    BUT:

    If I compile ad hoc distribution IOS, I see the following:

    1. initial view of the charges, display resource bundle strings

    2. when I go to the main product view:

    -SWF fails to complete the charging process and hangs with no bundle strings visible resources

    -incident occurs before the addition of the navigatorContent buttons that I defined in the base of the product State

    In other words, something that works in subject other settings and compilation options, simply will not progress when they are packed for an iOS release.

    I'm a bit of a loss. I am aware that iOS cannot sustain the bytecode and works on the elimination of that, but I run using this with bytecode simply ignored, which is very well that I won't here either. I also tried to substitute for the JPEG content, but the question below always seems to be present. I also tried to remove the loaded font files - yet, they did not, but the problem has simply ignored when I got the product as the main rather than a subview.

    Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause?

    Thank you

  • Debugging launched without debug player button

    Hi all!

    I just started to work with flash builder 4 today, but for some reason that I can not normally use the debug mode.

    I want to see all of my tracks and other so I need a little, I think that the reason is that the "debug" button launches a non-debug Flash Player because click right I see not all functions of debugging. Some time after opening pops up the window of the error on unable to connect to the reader

    When I manually opened a player to debug the debug feature works how it should.

    But of course I won't open a window whenever I want to run it. So my question is, how can we let the button debug run a debug version of the player? I tried to reinstall and remove all flashplayers before reinstalling

    Thanks already,

    Thom

    Hello

    I guess you have difficulties to launch the standalone binary debugger on Mac. Open Finder, select any SWF file, do a "Get Info" and say 'Open with' and point to the debug version of the standalone player and click "change".

    You can get the debug version of standalone player here: http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

    Thank you

  • LoadPanel fails with error-94 file not found code unless I am in debug mode

    I've written a dll that has a number of panels in a .uir file.

    When I have it, debug using "debug SeqEdit.exe", everything works fine.

    But, if I just use "run SeqEdit.exe" (without debugging and using the same sequence file, I get the error message:)

    "Error in the call to LoadPanel.

    The IUR file is always in the same place, the only difference is that I do not use the debug option.

    It's probably something simple I've forgotten?

    You should not use LoadPanelEx in this case?

  • Debugging Win32 from OutputDebugString() messages do not appear in the debugger

    I am using CVI to produce messages from debugging debugger Win32 using OutputDebugString().  However, debugging messages are not appearing in any debugger.  I can see them in the debug output window in CVI, but they do not appear in any debugger (DebugView, Spy Trace, Hoo WinTail, etc..)  I show all messages in every process in the debugger, and I can see the messages sent with OutputDebugString() of LabVIEW, but for some reason any nothing appears when I call with CVI OutputDebugString().  I also tried all the Options-> environment-> Debug settings.  I'm with CVI 10.0.0.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,

    Only a debugger can capture the output of debugging a program debugged at the time. So if you are DEBUGGING your CVI program, then the program debug output is visible in the CVI debug output window. If you RUN (Ctrl + F5) your CVI program without debugging, then you can see the output in dbgview program debugging.
