  I think part of the problem is that you have not provided any aaa commands of authentication for access to activate the mode.   Today has tried to connect to iCloud.com and got a dialog box indicating "updated your Apple ID.  More strong password required".   There seems to be no way to continue beyond this dialog and connect to iCloud.com without changing my password Apple ID.

  MU suggestion is to simply re-use your password of 7 characters and add, at the beginning or end, 1 letter/number etc to meet the new requirements.
