  When I'm on the phone with someone - anyone, regardless of locaton - I hear BOUNCING "beep" sound on my end of the phone. I asked the people, I don't know whether or not they can hear sounds, and they reported that they cannot.  I called Verizon and they said they had never heard of this problem before.

  I searched for weeks for a solution to this, but I have not been able to find one.

  The only way for me to hear anything when a call is if I choose my monitor like device speaker on Skype and the Jack of 3.5 mm on then plug it into my computer's line-in input. It's the only way I can receive audio calls through my headphones. This started from nowhere and didn't change a thing for making it happen.

  Keep in mind that literally everywhere with Skype, I get audio very well. Audio, tests, new messages, calling sounds etc etc.

  This wouldn't be a problem if it was not the fact that the reason why I got this 3.5 mm cable was in the first place if I could play on my PS4 and talk on Skype at the same time while getting the game audio and audio from Skype through my headphones. Now I can not do. I can't get sound from Skype or only from the PS4.

  For the life of me I can't understand why this happened or how to fix it. I tried the update of Skype and even re - install.

  My helmet is a Razer Kraken 7.1 and I use Windows 8 (not 8.1) if info is helpful somehow.

  I noticed that the sound signal come on when the BB is trying to access the data service. While on the phone, the beep is very clear and when it rings, it cuts the voice communication, it is impossible to hear the other party. Sometimes, there is a continuous beep that a last minute or more and making the "BOLD" BB a useless phone device. How can I turn off the beep? Or is it possible that turn off the data service when voice communication is established? There are only three choices in the menu, on, off and off data roaming service.

  Hey jadi, the yellow globe and a '1' beside her looks like a notification from the browser that it has lost its connection.  If you look in your messages folder there message with the link to your web page.

  insofar as the sound signal, try looking at your profile on the BB settings.  There is an option at the bottom of each article to warn that says "warn me then appeals".  check and change to 'no' if it is 'yes '.  to this success the menu (button left of the Pearl) and go to your profile icon that looks like a speaker with waves coming out of it to the right.  There, he'll tell which profile is active.  It will probably be the "normal" profile if you hearing other tones and ringtone.  Go to the bottom of the screen, then select "Advanced".  Once there in there click on the items in there and check to see if this option to 'Notify me during calls' is set to 'yes '.  If so change to 'no '.  see if that will set the tone.  It will be useful.

  There are other forums looking for answers as well, but is supported directly by RIM/Blackberry and most often used. I used blackberryforums.com, but I always come back to this (supportforums.blackberry.com), which for me is the best option.  CrackBerry.com is another.

• Unable to connect a video call & not ringing... Help, please!

  I use Skype for a few years now and have agreed
  that Skype has its good days and bad. for the last two days, I've been
  try to call my in-laws so they can chat with their grandchildren. We are both
  online in Skype, when I click to make the video call, it makes normal
  sound as it does when you hit first video call and then nothing.

  There is no ringtone (on each side) and there is no indication that the
  another person trying to contact you. I tried to call my in-laws
  several times and she tried the same thing, no luck, be it!

  I also tried to call the automated test of Skype Lady and the
  same thing is happening.

  I restarted my computer several times, however, I did not
  tried to uninstall and reinstall Skype. I'm sure I'm one of the
  new updates of Skype.

  As much knowledge on this thread I hope someone can help...  I am trying to record videos, but I don't get what-so-ever no sound. The video is perfect, but absolutely no noise. I tried to create a voice in "Remember" note and the same thing... no sound...  I tried the mute and it does make a difference, any more than the volume up/down buttons...  He has worked in the past, because I took a few videos at the end of March and it worked fine... I should also mention that I tried to call my home # just to make sure that the microphone was working and no problem there more...    I am confused?

  So I just tried something I probably should I have tried before posting but the lesson learned and hope this helps the next person...   I did a battery pull and everything is back to normal...

  There are several possible causes of the problem:

  ·         The microphone isn't close to capture your voice. Make sure that the microphone is positioned close enough and you speak directly into it.

  ·         The microphone is cut in. Some microphones have an external control for muting. Make sure that the mute control is disabled.

  ·         The microphone input level is too low. Make sure that the microphone input level is set correctly.

  Entry level to adjust the microphone

  1. Open Audio devices and sound themes by clicking Start , clicking onto Control Panel, hardware and sound, and then clicking its.

  2. click on the recording tab.

  3. double-click on the microphone you are using speech recognition.

  4. click on the tab levels and then use the slider to adjust the entry level for your microphone.

  ·         The microphone connections are not properly attached. Make sure that microphone cables are intact and unbroken. The connections to the computer can be loose, so unplug the wires and reconnect them by ensuring that they fit.

  ·         A different microphone is selected to be used with speech recognition. If you have more than one microphone installed on your computer, that bad could be selected to be used with speech recognition. Make sure that you use the microphone selected for speech recognition.

  Change which microphone is used with speech recognition

  1. Open Audio devices and sound themes by clicking Start , clicking onto Control Panel, hardware and sound, and then clicking its.

  2. click on the recording tab.

  3. Select the microphone that you want to use with speech recognition, and then click set as default.

  Check the documentation that came with the microphone for additional troubleshooting information.

  See if you are able to complete the installation wizard.
