No sound in QuickTime 7

I use QuickTime 7.6.6 on El Capitan 10.11.5.  Either there is no sound or noise during a moment or two play my old mov. movies.  There is no problem to play newer movies or MP4.  Ago old movies has played very well for years.  Now, why not?  How can I solve the problem?

I partially solved my problem.  Open the .mov file in QuickTime 10.4 and save it as 'converted '.  Open the file "Convert" in QuickTime 7 and the sound is back, but not every time.  What is really interesting is that QuickTime 10.4 will not open the file "converts".  Strange.

  • No sound when you export the missing project like HD (AAC codec) video

    Hi there everyone!

I am facing a problem when you try to export a finished project to iMovie as a HD video, no sound!

    Here's the scenario:

MacBook Pro (mid 2010), OS X El Capitan free 10.11.2, around 90 GB of space on the hard disk, iMovie ' 09 (Version8.0.6)

The project is finished in iMovie, ready for publication in HD, when I saw it there, no problem with the sound. However, as soon as I try to export and select HD output quality, the .mov file will open without playing a sound in Quicktime format. If I select "large" inferior quality, it gives me a sound .m4v file. Even when I select "export with quicktime" and manually select the audio options (AAC 256 Kbps) the final version will have all the sounds.

A few months ago, I've been working on another project, it also exported in HD. When I check the first export view of the current project file information, it will say "Codec: H.264, AAC" size «1280 x 720, "when I export the current missing AAC while having the same dimensions.»

I'm really not an expert on these matters, but I tried to look for some option in iMovie, no luck. Maybe someone had a similar problem or knows why it does not work. I would appreciate help.

    Thanks in advance!

I was FINALLY able to get 1080 p with its new output using the following parameters:

I also HAD to define the file manually to .m4v extension before hitting SAVE as iMovie he left .mov (and it has not yet worked the first time he encoding with the .mov file extension).

I don't know what the latest update messed up in iMovie, but I've NEVER had a problem before the video release.  I hope that they get it fixed!

  • No noise in the Mac projector

Execution of Director 11.5 on Intel Mac / Snow Leopard. I need to create Mac and Windows projectors by the project. Windows projector works fine, but the Mac projector lacks sound: mp3, QuickTime and F4V files used in the project are all silent.

It is a project that has been upgraded from MX 2004. Based on initial research, it seems that I might be missing a xtra of some sort, but I have no idea how to do to diagnose the problem. Everything works fine on Mac, until the standalone projector is built.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

You are probably missing the xtra CoreAudioMix (Mac only)

Cannot provide solutions of specicific without additional information concerning the codecs involved. However...

    1. Based on modal messages, you are referring to, it seems that files containing audio tracks encoded by codecs that are not read or are not conversion compatible with the media player you use under El Capitan.
    2. Modal messages are triggered by a trap of the "general" error and expects the user to determine which codecs are not compatible and then take the appropriate action that may be necessary or possible.
    3. If the files use QT 7 Pro under Leo, open files on the system and check windows 'Inspector' or 'Properties' to determine which audio codecs have problems. Alternatively, you can try to open the files in VLC on either brand new or old systems and, if they open, play in this application or its 'Media information' window to determine the audio codecs, creating problems.
    4. As a generic solution, if the files open and play in VLC, then use any application of conversion based on the package of the project transform FFmpeg AV open tool (for example, the free Handbrake utility) and re - export source files in MP4 h.264/AAC or H.264/AAC/AC3 M4V files that are compatible with all the current features of Mac OS/IOS under the two X QT and QT 7 structure incorporates.

  • Sound, but no video when the stream of a file quicktime by shock wave

When I listen to a quicktime movie into the html file hosted on localhost using the Apache Server, I hear, but no video. I saved the film quicktime as part of my casting, linked to http://localhost/~username/mymovie.mov

When I play the movie quicktime itself in my browser, or in a projector or just on a Director, the video and audio play simultaneously. But in the browser after you convert the film to dir to html and dcr file and by hosting files dcr and html on the server, when I open the html file in my browser, only the sound pieces. Anyone have similar problems? Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi guys,.

Here are a few quick notes on how to handle shockwave videos with my projects.

I tend to find that video in .swf format work better under all browsers using shockwave

    easiest way:

You can make one lump in importing a .swf video directly in your casting. (without link)

the problem with this is that it tends to create a large dcr file for your users to download

    "preloadnetthing" way:

Download your videos on a site url - something like www.mywebsite.com/the_programs_title/dsmedia/videos/video1.swf

(I never use capital letters or spaces)

    file - import - internet-

This will add the file to the list add

media value: link to the external file (do not use block import)

    Now press import

When this Director will try to connect to your url - and downloadable the linked file test

If it works you should now see a new Member related video casting added to your casting

If it fails (which mine tend to make half the time?) - try it once again until it works.

Here I normally find property of the related videos Inspector - and change its settings - I disables loop - and of course be sure preload is not defined.

Now comes the part of code

To get your videos to play properly, you will need to preload them in memory, before playing them.

(although it is possible to videos - I have never been able to get it works well - there is a whole bunch of code lingo to treat streaming videos)

a script for a video preload swf frame *.

    on beginSprite

    floatPrecision = 2

    tellStreamStatus (TRUE)

    global gVideosName

the value TEMP "http://www.mywebsite.com/my_program/dswmedia/videos/" & gVideosName & ".swf".

    global mynetID

    Set mynetID = preloadNetThing (TEMP)

Set the text of the cast of "preload_results" to "0%".

    end beginSprite

    on exitFrame

    floatPrecision = 2

    global mynetID

    pStatList = getStreamStatus (mynetID)

    If (pStatList.bytesSoFar > 0) then

    pPercentDone = (pStatList.bytesSoFar * 100) / pStatList.bytesTotal

If pPercentDone > 99 then go THEN

    end if

Set the cast text 'preload_results' ((la chaîne de pPercentDone) & '%"))

    go to loop

    end exitFrame

a script in frame for playback of a swf video *.

    on beginSprite

-I create a blank "placeholder" cast member (a black filled rectangle) the same size as my video, my staging - in sprite 1

Set the visible of sprite 1

the puppet of sprite 1 set to TRUE

Global gVideosName - REM the name of my bound member video casting

the value of the castNum of the sprite 1 cast gVideoName

    updateStage

    Sprite (1). Play()

    updateStage

    end beginSprite

    on mouseDown

Sprite (1). Stop () - This stops playback of SWF movie!

    end mouseDown

    on keyDown

Sprite (1). Stop () - This stops playback of SWF movie!

    end keyDown

    on exitFrame

If .playing sprite (1) = false then

Set to false to the puppet of the sprite 1

go to "somewhere" - REM somewhere, you want to go after finishing the video.

    abandon.

    end if

    go to loop

    end exitFrame

  • No sound/audio in MP4 files

Hi hoping someone here can help out - I use El Capitan 10.11.6 and the audio is missing some MP4 files that I downloaded from a GoPro camera. My sound is fine otherwise, output noise is fine, alert sounds are fine. MOV files off other cameras play well with audio easily here, but I don't hear anything in the files MP4 Quicktime, VLC, Final Cut Pro X, even if in Final Cut Pro X there is an audio waveform on each clip and they were converted to Quicktime using the MPEG stream clip (there no audible sound in the program either). I tried the same files on colleagues Mac running Mavericks and the sound is fine out there so here something to replace or reinstall?

You run the same exact file on El Capitan and the Mavericks?  Shouldn't be any change unless MPEGstreamclip has been defined to use some esoteric audio codec in the file.  First of all, there is no reason to convert the files off your GoPro.  FCPX will work with native files very well.

And, if you never convert, use the GoPro Studio app for this.  Nothing I do will have problems with the standard files.

We use GoPros all the time and didn't have any problems.  What are the settings on the GoPro cameras?

  • No sound on .mov file

    Hello

I do a test shot before I capture a few old MiniDV tapes, and after the capture of a 30 second clip, I found that the sound played ok in FCPX, 10.2.3.

But when I check the clips in quicktime format, there is no audio data.

I'm running on OS El Capitan, 10.11.3

    Any ideas?

Open the file again, and then open the movie inspector window (Windows menu) to tell us more about the file.

  • How to export QuickTime without the narrative voice?

Hello.. I created a Keynote slideshow.

I created the "audio" for presentation using Garageband.

Then, I dropped the audio in my opening remarks.

Then I saved the slideshow to slides of my audio file of the time.

Now... when I try to export to Quicktime, it includes both my audio file as well as the "narrative voice", which was included when I recorded.

(Basically, it's my microphone pick up the audio of the presentation one I recorded it so it's like an echo and sounds terrible.)

I looked in the forum and in 2009, someone asked a similar question. The response was:

Remove the audio narration during the export to quicktime.

However, it seems not have this option in the latest version of Keynote.

Nobody knows the answer to that?

Let me know if you need a capture of screen or screencast for more precision.

    Thank you.

It's my microphone pick up the audio of the presentation one I recorded it so it's like an echo and sounds terrible.)

Stop recording the output of the speakers by either listening to the sound of the presentation of helmet, or put mute the speakers on the Mac using one of the following options:

    • Press mute on the keyboard
    • System preferences > Audio > output: then select the Mute check box

Remove the audio narration during the export to quicktime.

If you need voice over then you must keep in the presentation (why register for throw?)

However, it seems not have this option in the latest version of Keynote.

You can delete the recorded voice by clicking the clear button in: Inspector > Document > Audio

However this also remove orders to advance to the next generation and presentation slides
