  • Running script without the necessary permissions to access the Temp folder

    Hello

I'm under AE CC 2015 (latest version) in Windows 7 and I try to use a script (easy arrows) that requires the "Allow of Scripts to write files and access network" to be activated in the AE preferences.

My COMPUTER service stopped executables to run in the temp folder, what happens when a script requires that the "Allow Scripts to write files and access network" is checked in the preferences of After Effects. I was able to use this script successfully before these new policies have been deployed.

I tried easy arrows running from the file > Scripts > run Script file... but has not worked since AE search only the .jsx and not jsxbin file. I tried the filter "All files" when looking for the easy arrows jsxbin file. Is it possible to have the scripts look to another directory to run? The developer has offered to engineer a solution that works within our policies, but I know that I will get the approval of the budget for it.

I understand this is an error caused entirely by my Department, but I just need to check that there is not another solution other than to change my local permissions (which they probably aren't).

I just need to check that After Effects doesn't have a work around to do this, IE: run scripts from another location, etc.

You can have several temporary folders. Your guys TI could establish a sharing folder or specific local network for you and include it in the temp system variable, but only when you run as a specific user. Of course, there is always the risk that malicious stuff uses this specific temporary folder, but it is significantly less exposed. Your guy just TI do not go quite far with it and in fact they could impose this even further by using EMET and preventing the execution of specific applications entirely. Although Windows anti-glare very wide open in its default configuration, a lot of it can be controlled and implemented in your favor.

  • create an exception in avast for the nsemail.html file in the temp folder

I was pulling out my hair trying to find if there could be anything in the temporary files that I have to keep the last few weeks. Then I came across this: "the release of Avast 10.3.2223 (we think it's this version) has resulted in questions with avasts prevention of Thunderbird.
to function properly. The solution seems to be to create an exception in avast for the nsemail.html file in your
computers temp folder. "So now I'm completely confused. Why would I put something I need all the time in a temporary file to have remove for cleaning ccleaner?

Matt, thanks. I read your blog post. I need to replace my HD and I've been fretting over if I have to loose important data from the temporary files. Apparently not. When I talked about ccleaner, it was in the generic sense. I avoided ccleaner because I thought it was a big hammer and some data that he brags about getting rid of I really want to continue. I know that I can choose what remains and what is happening, I'll have to give him another look. Once again thank you.

    Hello

You mean empty the Temp folder? Yes you can, as previously.

Maybe you will not be able to remove all the files in there that some of them might be in use.

  • MY temp folder keeps filling continuously

    Hello

This leads me to madness - my windows temp folder continues to fill with tons of files - they amount to more than 40 GB in a single session on the computer - in addition they remove themselves to restarting the pc. Can anyone help? I have no idea what produces these files, even if I have IE open only still continues to be.

I installed another anti-virus scanner and adaware (use AVG and malware) they have not found anything - I don't really know what to do other than completely format my drive!

I've never actually seen, but see if this article referenced in my sounds notes as your situation and react accordingly:

    http://dev.Ektron.com/kb_article.aspx?ID=22182

If this is your situation you can also disable the indexing (or at least the manual value).  This is one of many XP automatic things that I always turns off.

Your system will thank you with increased performance.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

  • Temp folder includes 13 GB of hard drive space. What is there?

Original title: what is C:\\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Local Settings\Temp?

I have a folder named C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\Local Settings\Temp, that is using 13 GB of my disk space.

What is this file? It is necessary to maintain these files .NET Framework?

    Hello

This issue seems to be the local system profile folder... You can safely remove temporary files in the temp folder. I would not recommend you to delete the files of the .net framework than those required by the system.

    I hope this helps.

  • Several files in a temp folder cannot be deleted, rename, copy, or move to XP

I have several files in my temp folder that I can't delete, rename, copy, or move. I was hunting for them with research and it brings back me to the same temp file. The registry can not find them. I even tried to delete using BACK, but it says no file. I get no error message just bong when I try to remove it. I just tried to delete them in safe mode, it did not work.

  • Deleting the file in the Temp folder

I have a file in my TEMP folder called BCGECE. TEMP

He said: I can not remove it because it is used by another person or program and to close all applications and try again. I have notheing ope, but still can not remove it?

    Suspect A malware.

What anti-virus application is installed? What's his current subscription? He has never been allowed to expire?
What other antimalware applications are in use?

Download, install, update and run full scans with each of the following free tools. Do not run the scans at the same time. Each analysis will take a long time, so start an and then go for a non computer chore.  Leave the delete/quarantine everything it finds. Once completed, you can uninstall these applications.
    MalwareBytes AntiMalware
    SUPERAntiSpyware

Do a scan with the free eSet online scanner virus

    B. delete the file

Assuming that the file is not removed by one of the above tools, the following steps work almost always:

    • Close all running applications.
    • Open Task Manager (press CTRL + ALT + DELETE)
    • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
    • Type the following in the black command prompt window, and then press ENTER after each line
      CD folder
dir b * (this step is only to list all the files to confirm that you have changed the appropriate directory, make sure that BCGECE.) TEMP is in the list)
    • In Task Manager, find explorer.exe in the processes list, select it, then click on "end process."  Your desktop will become empty except for open windows from the command prompt and the Task Manager
    • Return to the command prompt window and type the following line and press enter
      del BCGECE. TEMP
    • In the Task Manager, click file > new task (run...) and type explorer.exe in the area. Click OK. Your desktop should reappear
    • Close the Task Manager windows command prompt

If for any reason the foregoing does not, from the start in a "clean boot" configuration XP and delete the file in the usual way.   Use "Method 2" (manual method) to the linked article.

The question could have been caused due to some virus.

I suggest to perform a Virus scan and check if it helps fix the problem.

    Method 1:

Follow the link below and perform a cleaning disc. Check if it helps.

    Avast antivirus

    Hi bobr_589,

A standard procedure for the administration of the system is to reduce the amount of storage space used (typically a hard disk) by deleting temporary files.

That the file is in temp you can remove it because it is not a update file.

In addition to this review, if Windows update is working or not.

A Microsoft security in safe mode with networking scanner to make sure that the computer is completely virus-free
    Step 1:
To start the computer in safe mode

    Step 2:

The Microsoft Safety Scanner free is a downloadable security tool that allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malicious software. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
