  I was wondering if there are all the other channels internet / online that I can get for Vista Media Center?

  I have about 9 at the moment and would be like preferby for free. I do not have satellite or cable tv so want those online, is there any where I can get a sky without a satellite dish as prison breaks soon.

  I don t think you will be able to find a free channel Sky One in the internet.
  But I'm not an expert m and this is only my personal opinion.
  If you don t have a satellite or cable TV, you could buy a DVB - T TV tuner, and maybe then you will be able to receive more channels TV using MCE ;)

  In the last three months. I was not able to download TV guide. I went through all NET configurations include the configuration of the tv tuner. Also bought new tuner. The computer has a modem of broad band always connectted to the internet. Count works very well on the internet. Media Center not connect and download tv guide to the registration of the advance. If I go to live TV, I see TV channels. It does not show the description of the channel or what's playing on this channel. Also, did all the windows update and download the latest version of .net Framework.

  When I try to open a .pdf file or a photo on the internet, Windows Media Center, then screen.  I don't have to use Media Center to get an open image/document.  I tried to hit all the icons, but nothing happens. Have instructions need simple but detailed, please.

  What you trying to do?  Media Center cannot open .pdfs.  You will need to download adobe reader to open them.

  Lately I had problems with Windows Media Center (WMC). When you click on internet tv tile, read the message "no content available) and just hung on this screen.   Internet TV is not available outside the US / UK.

  Are you using the built in Windows Firewall or another?
  What security software do you use?

  If you do not use the built in Windows Firewall, make sure that the executable files in c:\windows\ehome\ are allowed through.

  In addition, try reinstalling Internet TV.

  First, go to start, Control Panel, uninstall a program, then check if Internet TV for Windows Media Center is listed. If this is the case, select it and choose uninstall.

  Then go to start, all programs, accessories, click with the right button on command prompt and choose Run as administrator. At the command prompt, run the following command and press ENTER: start/wait %windir%\ehome\mcupdate - uf-nogc

  After it is finished running, open Media Center and check if Internet TV is available or not.

  I see the Internet tile TV in Windows Media Center on my PC. However, the tile of Internet TV does NOT appear when Windows Media Center is seen of my XBox 360 Extender and connected to my PC. Why can I not see the tile on my XBox 360 Extender Internet TV?

  Internet TV is not supported on Extenders, you will only see the tile on the PC.

  You are in the US, UK or elsewhere?

  Internet TV is available only in the United States and the United Kingdom - assuming that you are located in the United States / UK:

  Check your region settings in Windows. Go to start > Control Panel > clock, language and region > region and language. On the location tab, make sure that the country is selected in the administration tab, make sure that the language is also correct as well, otherwise click the settings change system locale.

  Go to start, all programs, accessories, click with the right button on command prompt and choose Run as administrator. At the command prompt, run the following command and press ENTER: start/wait %windir%\ehome\mcupdate - uf-nogc

  After you run this command, open Media Center and check if it is available, otherwise, you may need to reset the Media Center, note that this operation removes all custom settings and you will need to re-run the installation again:

  Open the command prompt, as described above once again and then type the following command and press ENTER: MediaCenterRecoveryTask - %SystemRoot%\ehome\mcupdate.exe

  One time only complete, open Media Center and run through the configuration. If you do not immediately see the Internet TV, let Media Center open for about 5-10 minutes, then restart and check if it is available or not.

• Media Center Internet TV - no content is not found?

  Ok.  I have been using Media Center Internet TV for some time.  I normally watch CBS and all the CSI, NCIS sees when they come out. That said, I have some I Center media set up correctly.

  Lately I've been coming up with 'No content' when looking for shows.  For example

  .. I go in the Internet TV section

  .. All the tiles appear, and I scroll down to CBS and select it

  .. All the tiles show appear here

  When I have the CSI games, he says there is "1 full episode, 71 clips.

  NCSI said "2 full episodes, 133 clips" and so on.

  But when I go into them I get the error "no content found.

  No idea what happened?  Its been a few weeks ago.  BTW, Netflix works great.

• Windows XP Media Center 2005 cannot connect to the Internet

  Dear all,

  I'm having a problem with Windows XP Media Center 2005. The problem is that when I connect the cable from the modem to the laptop, I only send packets without receiving. The IP address I get is also 169.254.207.207, which is not a valid IP address to connect to the internet, and so I guess that something is blocking the laptop to get the IP address. Another thing I noticed is that when I turned off the modem and restart it, I have connectivity maybe 5 seconds and then return to no connectivity.

  You guys can tell me what is the problem, and if I have to download something but in addition to the internet so that I can get my laptop to work. That said, I can connect to wireless with no problems.

  Sorry for the question but what modem did you mean?
  A simple analog modem or DSL (broadband) modem that supports support a LAN connection.
  If you mean the second then I would check the TCP/IP settings in the properties of LAN card. The settings should be set to automatic

  You should also check that you firewall settings.

  I have a XP m1264n Media Center running. I used a wired Internet connection since I got the computer 8 years ago. Now I have a new computer and want to move the old one away from the router.   802.11 is a wireless standard. It has nothing to do with the PC.  All you need is a free USB port.

  If you have XP with service pack 3 installed, any USB wireless adapter which has drivers for windows XP should work just fine.

  I used the maps on many PC XP desktop USB wireless.

  Don't forget that you also need a wireless router or wireless integrated into your cable/dsl modem.
