No timecode during transcoding 4 K XDCAM in 4 K ProRes

I just transcoded some 4K XDCAM clips on 4K ProRes 422 and then imported into Premiere Pro. All ProRes clips now have timecode that starts at the 00.00.00.00. If I import the clips into the creation of the original source of XDCAM adequate time code is here. I use the most recent, from versions of 07/06/14 CC of TEA and body. XDCAM sources have all the original material container MXF in their appropriate folders. I think not all the controls in the SOUL that have to do with timecode and assume that SOUL always passes the time code through for encoding information, but it does not work in my configuration. Help? Thank you.

Hello

Since you posted the question, we released SOUL CC 2014.  Have you tried this new version?  You still see the same problem?

  • Caused long file name still plant during transcoding

I don't know if anyone else has had this experience, but I had a few extracts audio and video that I had to run through a converter and it added to their file names with their encoding of the parameters, etc.  When I went to burn the clips on a DVD using Encore CS4, it kept crashing on me when he went to transcode the files.

Initially, I assumed that the files have been corrupted or had some kind of problem with the way they had been coded, so I re-exported them on a number of times as the conversion software using different parameters.  Each time still planted when he went to transcode, them.  I even tried to restart the computer in Windows XP mode (rather than Windows 7 64-bit) where I Encore CS3 installed and it broke as well.

Finally, I've shortened the names of files (just a guess on my part) and all worked without problem.

Everyone knows about this problem?  If still had an error message come up to the top to indicate the file name were too long, that would have been useful.

I him have not seen with long file names, but with some characters rarely used (at least in the names of files) and also with spaces. I took to using the line of underscores instead of spaces, as it used to be. So far, no problem. Now, I have generally short file names, so maybe I just never exceeded certain limits.

Good luck and thanks for pointing out,

  • bitrate required to transcode that drops below the limit of 2 Mbps of reminders

I'll try and detailed I can...

I still used cs6 for many clients of mine, the DVD of their marriage. This week, I had a problem during the build process where it crashes / freezes during transcoding (even after you leave for 8 hours). I started fresh, a new project, I import the first sequence, as I always do, I tried transcoding first settings of that time, never changed, never do anything. It transcoded fine - he finished. I added my menus and finished the entire menu system which includes a video summary of the games (that I imported so the PP sequence). During the construction, he said "bitrate to transcode that drops below reminders limit of 2 Mbps".

So, I deleted this video, come out of this project. I tried the building and he gave me the same error, and/or said that the capacity of my drive is too small. It's a 4.7 GB drive I always use it on my projects. I decide to check other projects and everything seems normal. Same settings... however... in THIS project, I found a problem...

My main script I've had trouble before transcoding - the duration is 03:09:42... in my first pro of the project is not as long, it's only 1 hour and 34 minutes long. Why when I import THIS project, life is way more long than it should be? I checked my PP project and the bar grey (you know when you drag this gray marker since the beginning of your project to the end?) is from 00:00 - 01:34:09. If everything LOOKS perfect!

I think maybe it would be a question of not building the dvd?

    Any ideas would be great

    Thank you

    Mike.

Do you use the dynamic link between PR CS6 and Encore CS6?

You use the transcoding settings 'auto '?

Are you sure that you do not have an additional video on our timeline?

In the panel mounting still problem, view it about 3/4 of the way through. What do you see? black or what? I wonder if you have a quirk in sequence PR your way out to the right.

  • Still and transcoding

I have a few questions about using still to do BluRay discs (Macbook Pro, OS Mavericks). If anyone has answers or ideas, thanks in advance! One question is, I created a project Bluray about a month ago and now I need to burn a bit more BluRay discs. But the project shows not transcoded media. It took more than 24 hours to transcode media (last month), so try to avoid that now. Where the encoding does not store the transcoded files? I looked in the file cache (for this project) and in my library folder (Application Support/Adobe/common), but I can't find anything that resembles transcoded files. And I don't see a way to recreate a link to the transcoded files.

The second question: I initially transcoded my BluRay files in Apple Compressor, but when I imported these files to encode, they have been marked as non-transcoded. So, I finished the original ProRes file import and leaving again to do the transcoding (which as mentioned above, has been more than 24 hours). But I wonder, why still does not read BluRay as transcoded speced files?

Thanks again for any help, Alice

    Hi Alice,.

Is it possible that after burning this first Blu - ray, maybe you didn't SAVE before closing again? Don't know what else he would like to redo the rendering if changed nothing in the build. But like John, I always export it as an IMAGE (.iso file) and then I have my copy of the disc saved on the hard drive.

    Thank you

  • huge list of first pro broadcast issues

    Adobe Hello!

I know that this is a very long post, but it is the result of a compilation of questions, we discovered for 1 year of intensive use in professional broadcasting company. www.Sette.com

many are related to legends and others to VTR

I'll be at NAB 2015 show to inquire about those first team in person.

. audio video player with aja pickling is OK.
audio .stripping with BMD is not good (error vtr), but works with fcp on the same machine!

. output card bad when sdi timeline in a video file and 29.97 at 23.98. Should be so easy to do conversion software...

. out of bad stories about broadcast decoder when timeline + video fps. 23.98, hoppefully final export to mxf 29.97 embedded format is good.
but the tc of 29.97 ndf after this conversion. How he df?

. Although the legends (from the dedicated video track) are good on the reading of the SDI - after edit on tape, they are scrambled to the top. We must use a converter SDI to SDI broadcast evertz to have acceptable result.

. many abandoned executives both edit tape with captions. Removal of legends track problem. It is a BIG problem for us, since we have to go back to an external encoder...

legends .import fails for different types of xdcam mxf; Some are not imported even in present in the file.

. CSC still appears as @29.97 in project info, even if 23.98 SD

. First always think and import a CSC file with ': 'as NDF mode.'; ' are mandatory for the df mode... but there should be an option for that.

. time code within CSC displayed by first badly converted the "discovery of the first" tc CSC... ex: My CSC is 23.98; first will show all legends with a TC 29.97!

. Adobe SHOULD COMPLETELY manage 708 cc encoding and decoding including mxf and mov, transcode them forced to scc608. as today the first can encode only 608cc; Regardless of the legends throw us in. and more, there is no way to determine if the captions are present in 608, 708, or two tracks.

. bug with certain fees xdcam convert mov or prores mov: first detects no more audio tracks in the timeline (duty to completely remove assets and re-import)

bug sound, but with legends not displayed. Reimportation and the will appears

. Media Encoder; What differences track audio mono discreet vs?

.MEncoder: how about an 'auto open in order' for the code just file?

.MEncoder: problem with white bars to mov xdcam50 + legends. Problem with encoder which shows white bar on the right in qt7 drive. If you use apple compressor

.MEncoder: Please add sidecar SCC 23.98 FPS

. First long captions decoding on import mxf or prores. Improve, show titles of legends but only decode on request during the washing/game; or to detect the CC follow the ASK ' you want to import captions? It will take some time. " or allow to get rid of import subtitles.

. sync settings does not keep the keyboard shortcuts. Or the workspace. ..

. Why 2 audio mixers, 1 which will really change volume on export (and other do not, not even the application effect audio volume), and 1 other that make the pan on the export

. How to set up true audio compressor with max 10 dB, no wall, but smoth cutting curve

. Export GPU. When will you use it to encode really export with GPU? Today only a (not shown) things are accelerated by the GPU, as effects and resize. Speed of light SEE telestream vantage

720p59.94, .mxf with CC: first dislikes 720 p resolution, not able to output any SDI of VAN. Do 1080i timeline and scale up the image complete. (a soft hack crossconvert 720 p - > 1080i)

. AJA capture: default value is stereo mode, how to change to mono?

. export to file and export to tape. A MISSING big converting TC function, so that we can convert ndf df. 29.97and 23.98

4: 3 images anamorphic .import is obliged to badbly full frame, so you read it wrongly metadata (correct 16: 9 by illustrated by mediainfo)

. bad display of subtitles with characters accented as 'Christmas' (don't become 'no el' with an extra space), but its OK in QuickTime format. Search for uppercase characters as "Noel2.

.bluray export settings. Fake 9/16, as a result the blue disk 4/3 on television. Specify the 16: 9 on tsmuxer again. During the conversion with other software like rhozet or vantage, this issue is not present.

.MEncoder. Rename "decompress" audio for "uncomp PCM.

.MEncoder MISSING remap audio export, so we should be able to keep the source file with 8 tracks, and then select the 7 and 8 for the stereo only for export

. First. What directly mxf xdcam capture/record? Same thing, but cineform thing you do now with cineform codec?

. First. export to tape.  Always 3 or 4 executives shifted forward on a VCR. The case of small "video delay" does nothing. Not sure same behavior aja and bmd. It is a BIG problem, it need to constantly measure the lag on VTR, and then adjust the TC to export for the 2nd time in the band. We can go up to 17 frames lag!

. Custom sequence wrong set framerate: when I create a xdcam50 1080i with 12 sound and water drop in a pal25 or 23.98nts produce... and ask 'set the file sequence'-> Jutters bad result. I ve to create the sequence in the native framerate first and then import video, so it's good!

. In timeline 23.98; at the point of the edict of dialogue band will change AUTOMATICALLY! In fact, it is converted to 29.97 FPS on impact "record"! And also, the offset is 3 pictures instead of 4-6 in 29.97

. When you export mxf to qt proreslt 1080i 1080i media with captions;  first add a few extra 'TDC' and 'cdt2.

(This is due to the upgrade of first November 2014. it has been without these bad characters before)

.exporter mxf 720p59.94 with captions.  There are incorrect;  many tools such as rhozet and nexio server can not read normally!

. How about automatically adjust the sequence mediastart startime? So obvious. (for the first file is passed in new chronology)...

When sync us the settings of cloud; Media export presets are NOT synchronized. Launch of mencoder apartment; and sync from there.

  • ProRes 422 always interlaced "Interleaved fields?

When FCP X converts 1080i50 sequences of a Canon Legria HF R16 "optimized media" he records them as "interlaced fields", but uses the original film "separated fields" (interlaced, high-field first of all, in both cases).

Is this normal (i.e.: ProRes 422 always use 'interlaced fields' for interlaced), or something is wrong during transcoding?

Same thing with iMovie last as well.

Ensure that what you are trying to say. Interlaced frames are not considered separately. Two interlaced fields make up a single image.

  • Embed fonts

I'm trying to embed fonts in an AIR application for the first time.

    That's what I tried:

    [Embed (source = "BRITISH. TTF", fontFamily ="BritanicEmbed ", mimeType =" application/x-do")]
    public var BritanicEmbed: Class;

    var textFormat:TextFormat = new TextFormat();
    textFormat.font = "BritanicEmbed";

    lblTitle = new Sun;
    lblTitle.format = textFormat;
    lblTitle.text = "Test";
    lblTitle.embedFonts = true;

... and that worked very well.

But it was just a tester. The actual font that I need to use is a .otf font. (OpenType fonts)  When I try:

    [Embed (source = "TrajanPro-Regular", fontFamily = "TrajanProEmbed", mimeType = "application/x-font")]
    public var TrajanProEmbed: Class;

    ... running mxmlc gives:

Error: exception during transcoding: font for alias 'TrajanProEmbed' with regular weight and style not found at:...

Someone here got fonts OTF to integrate. (Note: I use the command line and mxmlc to compile my apps of the AIR, if that makes a difference)

    Thank you

PS I also have a .ttc font (whatever it is) I need to use. Is this possible.

Since the announcement, I came across:

    http://onlinefontconverter.com/

By converting fonts I had in font .ttf, .otf and .ttc, I was able to nest them.

The problem I have now is that the embedded fonts looks very bad.  I took a screenshot and zoomed in, and while it looks like they are smooth, they seem to always terrible.

I was afraid that the onlinefontconverter tool was may be responsible, but if I open the fonts converted into Word, they look perfect in all sizes.

So now I don't know what to do - I have no idea why the fonts would look terrible. (For reference, I use a font size of 44)

  • Hearing: multitrack problem

When I create a multitrack is a long 30 seconds, but when I insert a file in there to make a music video, the multitrack becomes long for more than 20 hours. any help much appreciated

Some common causes of this can be that the clip you imported has some kind of corrupted data at the level of the mark of 20 hours or there timecode on it for some reason any and hearing trying to synchronize with.

You can easily remove the useless 21 hours 59 minutes and 30 seconds by clicking on the option to view the entire timeline and then use the time selection tool to highlight all the wasted space and delete.

It can also be interesting to go to Clips Edit/Preferences/multitrack and uncheck the option 'Use embedded timecode during insertion of clips in multitrack'.

  • Issue offset = hell terrible reading + leveling of the color problem

    Hi all

I am a new user of Premiere Pro.

I don't know since when I read PR clips, all adjusted color begin to fade/blink/run more...

(Rendering engine: the acceleration GPU OPEN CL Mercury playback engine)

So I got a counselor to change to Mercury engine software reading onlyrendering engine and the color issue is resolved after that, but, reading delay is super terrible...

Is - this RAM problem? I'm using Premiere Pro CC 2015 and Macbook pro (DDR3 8 GB in 1867 MHz / 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5)...

Please notify. Thank you very much.

Ah, you have a laptop with an integrated GPU (and shared video memory). These are certainly not the best for first.

If you look at the official system requirements, see "optional: map Adobe certified GPU with at least 1 GB of VRAM for GPU acceleration. The Intel GPU integrated have no VRAM that is clean and have never been on the Adobe certified list. If you can run the first without one and your mileage may vary, but they basically say that without one, you may be limited to the non-accelere mode by GPU (software only) and does not have the key word here - performance.

Today the top models MBP have discrete GPU, Apple estimated that everyone does not need to edit the video and that, if you do, it should be a no-brainer to spend the extra $1,000.

You didn't say what you're trying to change the media. HD? 4K? XDCAM, H.264, H.265? You can see improvement if transcode you to a friendlier codec like ProRes and DNxHD... and certainly do not expect color to work with 4K media on this laptop.

In addition, work on the ground full quality? Try the half or quarter.

    Your RAM is sufficient.

  • Integrate fonts script GG Super/sup problem in flex 4.6

    Hi all

Earlier, I used Flex 3 and I have a work project, where both 'normal' and 'fat' fonts have been incorporated properly.

Now, I've migrated to Flex 4.6 and I get an error like "face"BOLD"is not found in the font file.

I tried to change 'fat' to 'heavy', then it is compiled, but in fact, only the version of the normal font is embedded.

I put both minimal player and the SWF version to 9 in the flex settings XML file.

He was previously working with Flex 3 and I saw really normal and "BOLD" fonts he...

I use FlashDevelop as IDE, but in any case, AFAIU, it's just a matter of Flex. not the IDE one.

    Here is the code:

    [Embed (source = "fonts/ggsupersans.ttf ', embedAsCFF ="false", 'spSuperscript' = fontName, fontWeight is" bold ", advancedAntiAliasing ="true", mimeType is" application/x-make', unicodeRange="U+0020-U+007E,U+00A0-U+00BE,U+0391-U+03A9,U+03B1-U+03C9,U+0410-U+044F")]

    And here is the error:

exception during transcoding: font for alias "spSuperscript" with "BOLD" weight was not found at: file:/D:/.../fonts/ggsupersans.ttf

    Help, please!

    Finally, it has been resolved!

Was just my misunderstanding of the error messages...

First of all, I got the message 'systemFont is not supported.

    Then I changed to ' source = '...' » »

Then, I have a problem with my vertical text fields.

So I'm googling and find 'use saveAsCFF = false' and add it.

But then I'm not able to incorporate "BOLD" faces, because there is no such among font super/index.

    So I'm stuck...

Now I just go 'systemFont' return clause, and it works!

The real problem was unable to combine "saveAsCFF = true" (he default state) with 'systemFont '.

  • Impossible to wrap the C100 mts to quicktime in prelude files

    Hi, hoping someone can help.

I have images on SD card and copied two on the shared storage (the entire file structure) for a C100 and try to wrap and rename to better manage our rushes and possibly a problem with bad audio connection to the mistaken view.

IF someone could help me that would be great!

    Hi Kimw,

Sorry for the problem. I checked this. I can confirm that there is a problem during transcoding in quicktime (predefined game repacked Source).

I told my team. We will examine that.

    Thanks to accentuate the problem.

Customer feedback is important to us. Continue to write in the case of any confusion.

  • What are the consequences?

What are the ramifications of the popular burn-in timecode rendering with an additional track on the timeline vs via the menu on the encoder?

Even for a "bug" or a watermark?

I was wondering what method do most people use and why.

My problem with the addition of the timecode during export, is that we cannot succeed the timecode of the exported sequence, and is not always useful.

Here is an example.  When editing together a wedding, I'll break it down into different sequences - getting ready, ceremony, formals, reception.  They all get combined into a single master sequence for final export.  During the review, I need to see the timecode of the sequence of the ceremony, not the master sequence.  Adding timecode to export does not have this possibility.

    Bugs must be crushed. Period.

I'm running Windows 7 pro, 64-bit and the latest versions of Creative cloud of Premiere Pro and Media Encoder.  The video, I am trying to import is a little long at 2:30, but in the past, I imported a lot longer videos.  I would appreciate a quick response because I work at a date limit.
