No transfer of files on my new Lenovo with Win 7, Can t Download of MS

Try to use Easy Transfer.  Bought the cable kit with CD Belkin.  Installed fine on my old 32-bit w/Vista.  When I tried to bring up Easy Transfer on my new Lenovo, is it not on my hard drive anywhere.  No system disk came with my laptop.  When I try to download a 64-bit Trans easy. I am told that it does not work for my PC.  Help!

The first thing you need to do is to go to the Windows Vista-based computer.

-Download the 32-bit version of Windows Easy Transfer on your Windows Vista computer.

-Run it and create a backup on an external hard drive like one. MIG file

-Connect the external hard drive on your new computer Windows 7 (enable)

-Launch Windows Easy Transfer in Windows 7 (start > all programs > Accessories > system tools)

  • new computer with win 7 pro when it is connected to a Flash drive or external hard drive poster, you have currently not authorized to access this folder or location is not available

There are now 4 computers in front of me.

Two are laptops 17 inch hp (consumer)

Two are workstations mobile hp 17 inch (company)

On the consumer books, I can view the files on my external hard drive 1 to and 1 GB player.

On the company workstation (mobile), I'm not able to view the files on the hard drive or flash drive.

I need your help so that I can save files from the internal hard drive of the mobile platform of book z hard disk external.  And I need to be able to reconnect the external drives and readers to the Zbook mobile workstation to transfer files to transfer flash.

These are the pop ups that appear for each when displaying of readers by opening my computer:

When left click hard disk drive a pop up appears with the title bar: location is not available.

    H:\ is not accessible.

    Access is denied.

Make a right click on the hard drive allows FreeAgent GoFlex drive opening (h :)) properties)

The tabs are ReadyBoost, previous Versions, Quota, customize, general, tools, hardware, sharing, security

By clicking on security of advances and then permissions then continue and then change my name owner or administrator... both methods result in the same access denied result once again.

I came across this http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/00d04415-2b2f-422c-b70e-b18ff918c281 is this something I need to study and learn before I am able to connect and use an external drive or flash?  Or is there another problem?  If the answer is in this link, do I have to put emphasis on and why wasn't windows 7 configured so that it is easy to use external drives as in win xp and win 8?  Are all usb ports do not or all drivers of failing or is it a software problem all?

I was not able by trial and error to display all files on any hard drive or external flash on the two books of z of mobile workstation.

Then I went to the flash drive.

Left click on the flash drive produces a pop-up with title bar G:\

You don't have permission to access this folder.

Click on continue to get permanent access to this folder.

After clicking on continue it opens another pop-up with title bar G:\

You have been denied permission to access this folder.

To access this folder, you will need to use the Security tab.

When clicking on the Security tab he opens a new pop with the title bar: removable disk (g) properties

The tabs are general, tools, hardware, sharing, ReadyBoost, customize

He did not indicate what to do next.

    Summary:

Two new computers hp zbook stations mobile work with win 7 pro

Or computers with their multiple ports usb allows to access my external hard drive or flash drive.

The external hard disk and flash dirve each work very well with the consumer portable computers hp with winning 8 and 8.1 of win and have worked with computers with win xp.

How can I get the Replicator hp z book with win 7 pro for usb drives work with external hard drives or external flash drives?

I have so far done the following:

    (1) run administrative guest with sfc/scannow and it found no violations of integrity

    (2) ran microsoft fixit will be all available Parameters which automatically checked and corrected each book workstation z mobile http://support.microsoft.com/mats/windows_file_and_folder_diag/

    (3) contacted HP support

    (4) checked for malware using microsoft security essentials, malwarebytes and spybot on each mobile workstation

    (5) updated drivers using HP support assistant on each computer

    (6) windows update the device HP support assistant on each computer

How do two new computers with win 7 pro can be connected to external drives that allow to view the files as they do with win xp and win 8 automatically?

How can I access my files on the external hard disk and flash the mobile workstation book z?

The specifications for the mobile workstation of zbook are:

Operating system: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Service Pack 1

Microprocessor: Intel core i7-4800MQ CPU @ 2.7 GHz

Moemory system: 16 GB of memory on 2 1600 MHz dimm

Graphics device 1: Nvidia Quadro K3100M

Graphics device 2: Intel HD 4600 graphics card

Hard drive 1: SCSI Disk Device

    C: 683.42 (613,62 free go-go)

    D: 12.21 GB (1,3 GB free)

    E: 1.99 GB (1.97 GB free)

The hard drive is a seagate 1 TB drive that works very well

The flash drive is a 1 GB drive which works very well

    This problem has been resolved.

Right-click all methods have not access external external hard drives and flash drives.

Sharing, permissions, ownership, administrative changes, all method all failed.

This problem has been resolved by higher HP product support.  Other levels of support were not able to diagnose the problem or fix.

The problem has been resolved by:

    (1) determine that he was not a NTFS problem

    (2) using the msconfig to isolate a single service

When the unique service has been disabled the files on any external drives have been available.

The service of the problem was the HP Client Security.

This HP Client Security in its default value is set to deny access.

Then right-click on the drive and change the permissions, ownership, to administrators, using everyone etc. will fail because they are all trumped by the HP Client Security that is set by default to deny access.

When that client security is changed the drives become available.  It is not information about this when using the computer and this can be learned by trial and error.

I hope this helps all those who have z book 17 mobile workstations or HP computers that are equipped with client security.

  • New H535s with Win 8.1

I just bought a new H535s with Win 8.1 - do you know if there is a recovery already integrated into the system section or do I have to back up the system myself (using a lot of space)

    Thank you in anticipation

Welcome to the community of Lenovo!

Yes, your system already has an installed key recovery section so there is no need to create another backup.

Take advantage of the new computer!

Since the new pc will be mo more loaded with win xp, can demote us ourselves?

License wise you can license windows 7 legally allows you to downgrade if you wish, for compatibility reasons.

It's the OEM to support OEM systems, so if you have any questions, then the supporting manufacturers cannot help if what the other poster said is true insofar as they will not support a drop in ratings more.

XP mode is a very good concept, but it falls really flat in some areas.  Printer redirection is not reliable, you can't automatically USB devices like scanners attaches, communication between the Windows 7 host and guest of the XP mode is slow if you try to use a printer or shared folder to work around the problems of redirection.

I have not found a viable solution for companies that use older scanning applications that don't working correctly in windows 7.

  • Data transfer between 8300XP and 8.1 of Windows using an external drive of 1TD will be my transfer of files to the new system?

I have an old Dell 8300 XP for 12 years and just got a HP Pavilion 23. Bought a WD 1TD disk transfer the data from my old computer to my new computer? Also, my old computer has some type of pass protection, when entering data on a disk or diskette that appears to be empty on any other computer. Do I have to remove the password protection before I transfer my data to the external hard drive?

If your files are encrypted - you have Windows XP Professional, use the EFS file system and the files appear in the Green type when you look in Windows Explorer - then Yes, you have to decrypt (remove them the password) before you transfer the files.

If you mean that you must enter a password to connect to your XP computer but otherwise have no password protected individual files, so No, mustn't do something for files before transferring them.

Perhaps you could clarify what you mean by "when entering the data on a drive or a floppy drive he seemed to empty on any other computer."

If you are unsure if you have XP Pro, made a click right desktop and select "Properties".

  • Can I install vista full twice on the same computer as I have premium32 House on 1 partition and an ultimate defective on the other, then transfer defective files from scanning to good, with careful av?

clean install of ultimate detail in a separate partition, already installed

Due to persistent problems with cleaning of virus alureon back remains including taskscheduler, backup and restore, System Restore, I propose to installed ultimate RAID 0 volume 0 (currently occupied by the details of the home premium) and copy files for ultimate in raid 1 1 volume (probably take 3-4 weeks). Please see my profile and posts for info on how I managed to get into this mess. As the systems are stable at the time can someone think of something to prevent this or better idea, if ok will install, mse, av and spy, ad, malware progs 1 before so I can scan all files on the file transfer. At present I have swop systems via the bios hard drive boot priority and order, takes seconds.hope this sense

Image copy defective everything first as a precaution.  Use Windows Easy Transfer to capture your files and settings.  Den of the bad copy or reinstall Ultimate.  Transfer your files and settings back with WET.  You can scan the file .mig (the WET file) with the reinstalled the new copy of ultimate AV program before starting the transfer.

You cannot transfer your programs. They must be reinstalled. I don't see how using a second partition/installation ultimate solves anything. It would be a waste of disk space and a lot more work.

  • Transfer by car to the new motherboard with OEM wind 7 on it

So a few days ago, I asked a similar question, but I think I found a method more efficient and I was wondering if it was possible.
My father and I built a 2nd computer and bought another copy of OEM Windows 7 HP 64 - Bit SP1, which is the same operating system on my current computer. This new computer has specifications of superior material, including the motherboard, so I would like to transfer my drive with my OS on it to this new card a mother. Since the product key binds to the motherboard, it would be possible to ask Microsoft to temporarily remove my product key of my current motherboard (without uninstalling my OS with all my files and applications on it), so I can transfer this SSD with my OS on it to the new motherboard and then pass the product keys?
We will always keeping this former/current computer and so I would be to reinstall the original product key to my original motherboard.
    Thank you

When the disc authentication fails in the new PC with the old key, right click on computer and select Properties.

At the bottom of the screen properties, it must give the authentication status and because he missed one of the options would be to get a new key. If this fails, you may need to call. This is the 1st time you used this key so should work

There is no process to allow off-a key, when you come to install Windows on the old computer go through the process of normal authentication that will probably succeed. Only if you have reinstalled Windows on this computer with the same key too often and, recently, it fails and you must call the authentication Center. If you have both connected do not all selections and waiting and an operator should come online.
