-No window or images

Hello.

When I opened the Photos I had no windows, but Photos is active in the dock and bar.

I can select window - Photos (translation from Swedish, could go wrong) and get an empty window, but I can't see all the images.

I tried from Photos while now the key alt + cmd and only alt, I don't get any pop up to select the library.

I also tried to open the Finder library, no luck.

Also searched forums and google with no results.

Library in the finder Go 77 says images are still on my hard drive at least.

Help much appreciated.

It may be a problem of caches and preferences of your user account files, that need clearing or a large problem of system.

Try Photos from another user account. You see the same problem when you launch Photos when signed as a guest user?  See the text of this help: isolate one problem using another user account

  • If the pictures don't work not even in your user account invited, reinstall the Photos.  You can do this by reinstalling Mac OS X on top of your current system. You don't need to do a clean install and reinstall everything. Just do a backup again, current, and then start the recovery partition and reinstall as described here: OS X: on OS X Recovery
  • If pictures work from the account guest users, but not from your normal user account, delete the preferences of Photos:
    • Photos of quitting smoking and open the library, then the folder of the containers inside the library of the user.
    • Delete the folder full of your library user and also ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Photos.plist ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Photos/ (if the file exists) and restart the Mac, then try again.

To access your user library and find the folder of containers: your user library can still be hidden in your folder. To reveal the hidden user library:

  • Bring the Finder to the front by clicking on the desktop or the Finder icon in the Dock.
  • Select your folder user/home (with the House icon in the side bar of the Finder)
  • With this window in the Finder in the front window, press the ⌘J key combination to bring up the display options.
  • In the view options panel allow you to "show the library folder. That will make your visible user library folder in your folder.
  • Open your folder, then the library folder, then the containers.
  • Move the entire folder ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Photos on your desktop. Delete the entire folder, not just the content.

Now, restart the Mac and try again.  If all goes well, delete the folder on the desktop.

  • Recover Windows System Image in Boot Camp 10

    Hi all

I have problems with Windows on my iMac.

So I installed Win10 using the Boot Camp Assistant, partitioning 300 GB for it. After awhile, I realized I want to segment much more, so I tried looking for a way to extend this partition to 500 GB - I have tried it with a 3rd party app and didn't. I then created a Windows System Image, restored the fuser unit to a single OS X partition and reinstalled Windows with BCA - by then I had decided to partition 1 TB for each operating system. I installed with no problems and tried to recover Windows from the Image of the above system. But instead he apparently formatted my entire SDS, including the OS X partition, that the iMac will not start and more.

[I have a backup Time Machine and everything, I also know I have to reinstall OS X and then restore from that backup.]

The question is how to do what I tried bypassing Windows format the whole * thing. If this is not possible at all to recover from the image, I'll be forced to 'start from scratch' and I'd really rather not, 3rd party applications are welcome at this stage. Also, can I recover the files from the Image of the system?

    Thank you for your time,

    Bruncky

PS. : Given that the Apple employee didn't know immediately what I was talking about: in Windows, a System Image is a 1:1 copy of my Windows partition around, as opposed to a backup that saves only files apps and not content generated by the app.

This issue arises from a bad assumption made during the restorations by the process of restoration of Windows. It assumes that the restoration is made on the dedicated disk that has nothing else. Winclone is the best solution on Mac instead of Windows System Image backups. I have some time with a few users and I have tried with different levels of success. Please see Bootcamp not recognized after the restoration of Windows from image system for example.

    Try of Winclone.

There may be some confusion between the Image of the system and the history of the files. Time Machine has no concept of an Image of the system, so it is also the terminology 'exotic '.

PS2. : If I reinstall OS X from Recovery Mode, do I make specific configurations about the merger by car?

No, unless you have built a custom Fusion car. If you have a Bootcamp partition on the drive of Fusion, you want to ensure that you're not crushing BC/Windows, unless a wipe/restoration is your goal.

  • Unable to create the new project Windows Digital Image in 2006.

Original title: Digital Image 2006 Windows?

My operating system is Windows XP SP3.  I have installed Windows Digital Image 2006 but when I clicked on "create a new project" he has opened with a page containing a red X, calendar, frog and a butterfly, and I was unable to go further.  It is a good editing software, but I would like to be able to use all the facilities.

If someone familiar with this program, please indicate what could be the problem and how I might be able to correct even.

    Thank you.

Look at the link here because it says Microsoft Digital Image 2006 is not compatible with Windows 7.
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/search.aspx?l=en-us&type=software&s=Windows%20Digital%20Image%202006

If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.
    Use the following steps:
    (1) right click on the program
    2) click Properties
    3) click on the Compatibility tab
    (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or other operating system, the program has been run successfully.

Check out the link here: make sure to run older programs in this version of Windows

If compatibility is not successful, then try and run the program compatibility problems:

If you are running Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate version, install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx) and run your software in Windows XP.

If you run Windows 7 Home Premium, try VirtualBox (www.virtualbox.org) or VMware Player (www.vmware.com), or any other 3rd party software virtualization and install a separate copy of Windows XP (family or professional edition) for this purpose. You can find the virtualization software free that will run on Windows 7 Home Premium.

  • After the deployment of a Windows 7 image, pc does not start after Windows logo

    Hello

I tried to install a laptop via a Windows Image. After that I deployed the image, the laptop does not start past the Windows logo. Normally I had to change the SATA AHCI setting to solve this problem, but he was already on AHCI.

I tried to install it via a Windows 7 installation CD and it works, but I want to fix the laptop / image to work on this laptop.

The logo of Windows get stuck, then I get a blue screen very quickly and it restarts. Also when I try to start in safe mode, it's the same thing. loading everything, then it gets stuck and also a really fast blue screen and reboot.

Someone at - it an idea may be what the problem?

    BR,

    Jim

I did restore by image much, many times without ever a problem.

    • I only use the integrated Windows 7 image creating installation
    • I only use a DVD + R White, never-r
    • I create the image ONLY on install brand new to be absolutely certain, there is no corruption

I've heard of this kind of problem does not happen when the image was made from a damaged disc.  Which simply transfers the corruption.

  • Windows Disk Image burner disappeared from Windows 7?

I use Windows 7. When I need to burn an iso file, I used to use the built in iso burner, Windows disc Image burner. Now it has disappeared from my right-click menu, and I have this weird entry which says "- exit - isowrite. What is going on? How can I get WDIB back?

    See http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/5942-burning-cd-dvd-enable-disable.html

Have you installed a CD/DVD burning program?

  • Cannot use the Windows disc Image burner

When I right-click on an ISO file, the option "burn disc image" does not appear. How can I use this program or set to its default value? (I have used other software with ISO files before. Does make a difference?)

The application is isoburn.exe which is located in \windows\system32

Thanks for responding. This isn't a huge problem, as you have reason to believe that I also have a perfectly functional third party burning software. I just wanted to test effectiveness compared to other solutions Windows disc Image burner. To clarify: I used the virtual drive software installation with ISOs before, and now Windows wants to open the ISOs with one application other than disc Image recorder. If I select open with..., the Windows Disk Image burner is not an option. If you can direct me to the Image disk application recorder connect in my C drive, I could then set it as the default option.

    This happens also with music

I would say that a copy would be the first thing I want to stop doing,

If you want to move a file, then move

Make a right-click dragging you will offer choices.

    Left-click dragging does not.

If you right click and select copy, Stop and use to cut,

Or use Alt + E and move to the folder.

  • CVD reference is missing the installation of Windows 7 Image option in MIrage Client after the upgrade to 5.0 Mirage

Prior to the release and the Mirage 5.0 upgrade, I had a CVD of reference created. I did 5 revisions to the Base layer on the MCV Ref. After each change, I clic click straight on Mirage Client icon, select Tools and then run "Installation of Image of Windows 7. Then I go back to the Console and capture a layer of existing base of CVD Ref. has worked like a charm.

Since the upgrade to Mirage 5.0 and after the installation of the new client on the MCV Ref, the installation of Windows 7 Image tool is missing. If I try to capture the base in any case layer, it crashes. I checked the logs and he returns with "Execution dock could not be completed" and never captures the base layer.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled the client on the MCV Ref.

I have removed the Ref CVD of inventory and created again.

Still cannot capture the base layer.

The next thing im going to do is flatten the CVD Ref and available with a base previous output layer and see what happens.

BTW, this happens on two Ref CVD I created. for example a team lead Ref CVD and another is a Call Center Ref CVD.

    any ideas?

The only way I could get my MCV reference existing (before Mirage 5.0 upgrade), to capture a Base Layer (after changing new) without having to rebuild my reference Image from zero has been to Sysprep the machine and capture with WDS. I removed the Mirage customer before sysprepping. Then deleted the CVD the stock updated Ref waiting and then I rejected the device pending and removed from CVDs rejected.

Then was to bring the return of WDS Sysprep image and install the Mirage Client and create a new MCV Ref. I made a few changes and was able to capture the base instantly layer. I will now do the same for the rest of my pre Mirage 5.0 Ref CVDs. I had 3 Ref CVD anyway. If they were not complex images, I would of just them rebuilt from scratch.

I'm happy to finish with WDS, so much easier to make changes to the images on Mirage.

Hope this helps someone else with the same number of "Execution of Shim failed to Complete" when revisions to images on Ref CVD after the upgrade to the Mirage Server 5.0

  • Complete restoration of the Server 2008 R2 vmware workstation for windows backup image 9

    9 workstation.

I am trying to restore a backup of windows server r2 2008 (made with the built-in windows backup) on an existing installation of vmware server 2008 r2. Basically, I just want to replace the facility with the backup version.

The problem is, the windows to the backup image is on a USB key.

    The restore process is:

    1. Connect the usb host drive
    2. Insert the windows server r2 DVD in drive
    3. initialize the Server 2008 r2 comments and press the button ESC at startup, then boot from the CD
    4. Select 'repair' installation
    5. but here's the problem, windows backup image is on my USB, but at this stage I do not see the USB key from the client in the repair installation process.

Ideas of the best way to do it?

    Thank you

Okay, downloaded the ISO Image of Windows Server 2008 R2, created a new Virtual Machine, added the Windows Server backup and made a full backup without the destination for the backup drive, a USB Flash drive.

Started the virtual machine of the ISO Image and it does not see the backup from a USB Flash drive, although I can see it from the command prompt.

Also created a record gross hard pointing to the USB Flash drive and started the virtual machine of the ISO Image and he does not see the backup of the hard disk gross of the Flash USB drive, because the Virtual Machine had problems during the boot process.  Forget the exact error message, but I tried as a whole disk and a partition.  So the why I tested it by copying it to a normal file depending on the disc hard virtual (and worked).

Finally I created a regular file based hard and copied the backup folder of the USB Flash it and then started the virtual machine drive of the ISO Image and it had no problem see the backup from the normal file based hard.

It seems that you have to take the long way around, but at least, you should be able to see!

I know not when booting from the ISO Image or a disc of Windows Server 2008 R2, backup tools command line are available to restore the image however you could examine the issue.  I would like to but I just don't have the time at the moment.

  • How to reinstall the recovery Windows 7 image?

    Hello

I bought a new Toshiba L650 computer laptop,
The day I bought the laptop, I installed UBUNTU on it and by mistake I used the entire disk for UBUNTU. And I lost the entire windows partition and I didn't even create a backup disk.

Is there a way I can recover my windows. I have the windows 7 CD key written on the bottom on the laptop. Can I install using a few windows 7 CD and use my CD key and still use it?

    Hello

I hope my answers help you, then let's go:
    > Is there a way I can recover my windows.
N ° after installing Linux or any other OS version clean there is no way to install the original Toshiba recovery image.
    > I have the windows 7 CD key written on the bottom on the laptop. Can I install using a few windows 7 CD and use my CD key and still use it?
Unfortunately, this is not possible. This key belongs to the recovery image you have with your laptop and it cannot be used with another version of Win7.

If you have original Toshiba recovery image and use the laptop with the settings you need to order the new recovery disc.
You can do it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

  • PXI-8110 update to Windows 7 image

I was wondering if someone has updated their controllers to a new OS?  Specifically, we received earlier this year a couple of PXI-8110 controllers incorporated with the gradient to XP option.  But now we wish we had Windows 7.  I was jumping that NEITHER would be able to provide the Windows 7 CD recovery of for this controller (because Windows 7 is an option) and I would have to pay the Bill for a license of Windows 7.  However, they said that it was not possible (OR - Please correct me if I'm wrong) and I have to install it myself.  So, any advice on this process would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Paul

Here are two INF files for drivers who have not installed correctly the first time.  Sara had sent to you about a month, there are and said they worked for you.  I am posting here in case someone else needs them as well.

Note: This is not the ideal way to install drivers for a PXI controller.  The controller should come image correctly with all necessary drivers and the recovery disc as well.  If however you encounter the same situation, then you can try these.  They are drivers for the delivery of trigger PXI and WatchDog Timer for Windows 7 on the PXI-8110.
