Noise electric high height on Satellite L650

Hi guys,.

I bought a computer laptop satellite L650 and right of the day 2, I noticed there is a noise of great height (you can check the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XLiejMy5Ns) comes from somewhere under the touchpad when you browse the internet. It is very annoying, and since I noticed it first, very hard to ignore unless there is music in the background.

I can hear it almost anywhere if I put my ear on the keyboard, but it is more intense on the touchpad. If I close the browser, the noise stops (so I don't think that it's because of the C-States of the i5 processor, because when idle, the noise stops and when running several programs or games, the noise is not there also).

I took it to the service, having still 6 months warranty aprox. Initially, they said it's because the fan was full of dust. Of course, this was not the case. Then, they changed my motherboard and the cooler. This does not solve it. Third time, they changed the HDD (because of areas defective, they said).

Anyone have the same problem? What do you suggest to me that I should do? Take it back to service again? It seems that they don't know how to fix it or the other. I also had one argue with them because at first they refused to fix it, saying: it is not a malfunction, so I'm worried they'll just give the laptop back the way I took it, after the 4th currently in use for this problem.

Any information or advice is helpful!

Thank you!

Vlad

It's really strange question. How it may be related to IE?

I think you should test it with the Chrome browser to see if this is something to do with browsers.
For me it's not logical, but anything is possible.

Please send comments.

One last thing: you use original OS that you got with your laptop or day 2 you use clean install of the OS?

  • Need battery high capacity for my Satellite L650

    Hello :(
My question is, if I can use a better battery for this phone, because it's really weak, I have to recharge it after 1-2, 5 h. I saw that I could use another battery, but it is impossible, because the battery I saw here, was like 10 cm higher than the standard. It does not, right?
Thanks for the help and sorry for my bad English. ;)

As far as I know for Satellite L650 exist no high capacity batteries but only one original with capacity 4400mAh.

Do not use other batteries which are not compatible to your laptop model and this largest battery does not fit into your laptop.

What you should try is to reduce power consumption. Use the power saver Power plan. Reduce the brightness of the display, close all unnecessary applications and disable all devices that you don't need.

Can you please tell us what drivers have updated you and why? What was wrong with the old drivers?

When you start your next portable speakers test time using preinstalled Toshiba diagnostic tool and post the result here.

What about the temperature of the laptop. 80 c is high temperature but still not critical, and if your mobile phone is placed correctly on the desktop and the cooling fans are not blocked I think you can continue to play the games.
Before the games close all unnecessary applications and uses laptop computer on power plan to high performance.

  • Satellite L650 no sound from speakers or phones

I.ve just had my first problem with my Toshiba Satellite L650 - particularly serious, because I rely on it for all my music playback!

Normally I can plug and on the headphone jack on my stereo, speakers cut out and I get HiFi glorious while it is inserted, and the speakers onboard bounce when I delete.
Today, I have plugged as ususal and listened to a few songs.

I unplugged (to move the laptop) and the internal speakers not to bounce.
I reconnected the headphone jack and there was no sound from my stereo (finger test confirms the work of jack stereo).

I checked all the app and the main volume - level in good health indicators were present.
In the Device Manager, all reported correctly and counter activity took place during the test routines of the audio device for both speakers and headphones, but no real signal to the phone jack, or speakers.
"Update drivers" who fired the message I; m to date.

I uninstalled the drivers of "High definition Audio Device", and scanned for hardware changes after - drivers were automatically found and installed successfully, but still no sound.
In desperation I dug an old USB-audio gadget, plugged and his fate that perfectly well by the USB port.

Can anyone suggest what I can try to force an internal connection between Microsoft Sound Mapper (i.e. the string digital things that seems to work very well) and outputs real material?
This machine is not an old duffer and this should not be the case!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Hmm, I doubt that the headphone is faulty because in this case, the internal speakers of the laptop computer s should work properly.

Please go to Panel of-> sound-> the Read tab.
    The speakers as default device?

In addition, please see the Audio Manager HD Realtek located on the control panel.
On the right, you should see a few options (in my case, that they are marked with a folder icon). Check it!

  • Satellite L650 - network not recognized

    Hello!

I just bought a new laptop of Toshiba Satellite L650 with Windows 7 pre-installed. I tried to install my internet high speed wireless on the laptop, but I try to connect every time, the network status box indicates that the network cannot be identified (public network) and there is no access to the network. The thing is, the connections for the modem Wireless Manager shows that it + is + connected and this was confirmed by my internet provider - to their end, looks like I'm connected. I downloaded and installed all the drivers for the modem and the software updated and has not made a difference. I also contacted the center of support for my security software and they can't identify the problem either - I've disabled the firewall completely and it made no difference. I don't really know what is happening, as far as I can connect to another wireless network, I have very well via a different USB modem with another provider, as well as my home network LAN.

If someone could help me, the exact details are:

    -Phone: Satellite L650
    -OS: Windows 7 Home Edition
    -Wireless provider: Bigpond (Australia)
    -Network: Bigpond wireless 3G
-Modem: Maxon BP3 - EXT Modem (connects to the pc via USB and is about 2 years old. It is identified by my supplier as compatible Windows 7)
-Software security: McAfee Total Protection 2011

I looked online to try to find a solution, but a lot of it is so technical that I do not understand.

    Thank you very much.

    Hey,.

Your ad is somehow a bit confusing you speak without wire and then update driver for the modem.

If you want to connect to your router wireless using the internal WLAN card you need to update the WIFI card driver that you can download from this page:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

So, how do you go online? You write something on the USB modem. Is your router or what exactly?

You can also try to disable the McAfee software to see if it blocks the Internet connection or not.

  • RAM is not recognized on Satellite L650-1MC

    Hello guys

I have a Toshiba Satellite L650-1MC with an i5 480M CPU and 4 GB DDR3 PC3 - 10600 (2 x 2 GB modules). Today, I got a 4 GB of DDR3 PC3-8500 module to upgrade the RAM 6 GB. I put this new module in and he was not recognized, perhaps because it was PC3-* 8500 * not * 10600 * like the original other two modules.

However, when I tried to put one of the modules of 2 GB DDR3 PC3 10600 original in once again, he was not recognized or the other! I then left the second empty slot, with nothing in it, and he acknowledged the 1 module 2 GB in there. Do you intend the PC3-8500 module "corrupt" the memory slot, or is it not positioned properly, as seems to be slotted into a fine; It will not move.

I would really appreciate your help

    Tom

    Hello Tom

There must be a compatibility problem. Forum is filled with similar reports. You should only use compatible and tested modules.
I highly recommend to use modules from Kingston.
Compatible RAM for your laptop model you can find on http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configurator_new/lines.asp?root=uk&LinkBack=http :// www.kingston.com/ukroot&Manufacturer=tos&search_type=

  • Satellite L650-BT2N23: reading Blu - ray as part of the Intel HD graphics card

I'm considering the purchase of the Satellite L650-BT2N23 with Blu - ray player, but it does not come with a discreet graphics card.

My only option is the integrated graphics card Intel HD, and I fear that Blu - ray playback can suffer.

Can someone give an opinion on this?
    Thank you.

    Hello

Please read some information on the page of Intel on the Intel HD graphics chip.
The chip is called HD because it is able to process HD video which means it should eb strong enough to work with the blu - ray!

So in your case I wouldn't be afraid. The graphics chip is OK for video content high definition!

    Welcome them

  • Display drivers do not work on Satellite L650 PSK1JE

I would not pay 1.50 per minute for the Toshiba hotline get direct assistance with my problems with a product i once paid money (not bad), the Toshiba Satellite L650 (PSK1JE) laptop, so I try this way and hope that I get help.

Sorry for my bad English, I'm from the Germany and have not found a German advice here (I wonder what other costumers / are forced to do it...)

To make a long story short: I need the current drivers for my graphics ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5650.

-If I download at ATI, I download the Catalyst Center. Installation fails because the program tells me that the graphics cards do not match. I don't know why.
-so I downloaded the drivers on the Toshiba homepage. The results: they are installed, but now I can set the resolution to 1024 * 768. So I re-roll my system to get rid of that joke.

What are the possible solutions to this problem? How can I get the drivers for my graphics card that really work?

I'd appreciate any help, thank you.

    Hello

The resolution depends on the screen
If the screen does not support a higher resolution, you will not be able to choose

But AFAIK the L650 supports a 15.6 16:9 ration screen and the available max resolution is 1366 x 768

Take a look at this document:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB0502VW0000R02.htm

There is a tool that allows you to activate the resolution supported max.

  • Satellite L650-1MT Fan activity difference when it is connected to...

    Hello

I have Toshiba Satellite L650-1MT, and I have a small problem regarding the activity of the fan, during the passage of the battery adapter.

First of all, in the power settings, I have the balanced adapter and battery option, and I have done a few customizations for these settings, so that they are exactly the same in both cases. However, I noticed, that the fan is more active when the laptop is connected to the adapter, on the life of the battery, although they have, as I mentioned before, the same exact settings. How is that possible? The difference in the activity of the fan is not SO big, but it is worth noting. To be more precise: for example when just surfing the net, the opening of new links on browser firefox etc, do nothing heavy, starting the fan is so often, when it is on battery power. But as soon as I connect my laptop to the card and do the same things, the fan seems to start up more often.

In short, the fan is quieter longer when on battery life, that when connected to the adapter. And again, I must emphasize that _I have the same exact power for both settings. _

    Hello
You can visit the video card settings, when connect you the laptop on ac adepter without battery in power mode failure mode video card software and then can go the higher temperature and start the fan.

  • Satellite L650 - overheating

I am owner of a [Toshiba Satellite L650-14F | http://www.toshiba.rs/satellite-l650-14e-455-c491-view.htm] laptop that is running 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate. ? It is a year old.

I'm not an avid player of game, but I play relatively demanding games on it, including the last Prince of Persia and Fallout. It worked without any problem, but it has been about half a year sice I played what either.

Most of the time the laptop is connected via HDMI to my monitor 22 '' (1680 x 1050). I mention this because in the last few months I have experienced overheating accompanied by forced outages. It happened on two occasions. Once while playing a regular Xvid and do some CPU intensive process in background and last night by playing a mkv video in 720 p with GPU hardware acceleration.

In the second case the laptop was raised still my desktop using a book so that sufficient space there to blow hot air. It's like that since the first incident of overheating.

Now, I doubt that it is a normal behavior. Can any who share similar experiences and what they have done? Use the warranty for watching? I have a five year warranty non-affaire - what, but I don't know how they deal with these issues. Do you guys think / suggest?

    Hello

High internal temperature is a common problem of laptop that is a lot of devices (CPU, GPU, HDD, cooling, modules, etc.) is placed on a small area and all of these devices produce a lot of heat dissipation.
Therefore, it is very important that the fans of cooling and cooling modules work correctly.

I noticed a similar problem on my laptop after a while of use. The temperature rose to above level t which and it touched the features of the laptop.
I read in various forums that this can be caused by dirty fans and cooling grids.

I had to clean the fans and cooling grids using a jet of compressed air. This helped to turn out to get rid of the dust and debris that prevent air circulation.
Then I removed the dust and it helped.

Now, again from time to time if its necessary.

  • Connectivity issues and touchpad Wi - Fi with Satellite L650 on Win8

    Hello
I recently updated my Satellite L650 - 18 c (short part no: PSK1JE) to Windows Pro 8, thanks to a commercial copy. The laptop works very well and I am happy with the new OS, but I have a few problems.

    1 - Touchpad
During my first installation of Windows the touchpad used generic drivers, then I went [here | http://pt.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=PT] to download the proper drivers. I couldn't find the drivers of Windows 8, so I went to the Web of Synaptics site to get the drivers directly from there. I got Windows 7 drivers.
When I try to open the settings for the touchpad in Windows I get an error that looks something like "Unable to connect to the Synaptics pointing device" and I have to reinstall the drivers.

    2 - wireless
I high speeds (~70Mbit/s) with an Ethernet cable, but Wi - fi, I only have 3.5Mbit / s.
I read that this is related to the drivers, so I looked up the proper drivers, but so far found no one who even settle (I click Yes on UAC and then nothing happens).

I really want to avoid going back to Windows 7.
Is there something I can do?
Any help would be much appreciated.

As a first step, you should check if your laptop is supported for Win8 or not. Do it on
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/JSP/checkWindows8Compatible.do?service=EU

If this isn't the case, then you can try to use the drivers for the recent but similar laptop models.

WLAN I checked the specifications of the laptop and your laptop has WIFI and Bluetooth combo card. It is Wifi b/g/n 11 + BT V2.1 + EDR (Broadcom BCM94313). Unfortunately the Toshiba WLAN portal you won't find Win8 drivers at the moment.

  • Satellite L650-1GF - cooling fan runs every 3 minutes

Last week, I bought a Satellite L650-1GF. Everything is fine except the noise from the cooling fan. Especially because it works almost every minute to cool the carrots. There is an annoying sound hum which takes about 10 seconds and is repeated every 3 minutes approximately.

I checked with "Speedfan". The temperature of the hearts is fluctuating between 32 and 37 C. And at about 37 ° C, the fan speed to cool the computer.

    Two questions:
1 is this normal that the cooling fan starts cooling to 37 ° c.
    2. is the annoying noise of the fan normal for this model of Toshiba?

And what is acceptable, can I find examples to compare with what I feel here somewhere? I saw a lot of cell phones so far, but none of the cooling fans made a buzzing sound like this.

    Kind regards

Have you ever tried to change the method of maximum Performance to optimised battery cooling?

You can do this in Windows power management, but make sure you do this for the current profile of the power.

  • Abnormal temperature CPU on Satellite L650 - 13 M

    Hello

I have a Satellite L650 with an i5 430 m (with ATI 5650) around the age of 2 months and when I occasionally play NBA 2 K 11 I get these very high CPU temperatures
with HWmonitor. They go up to 89-90 ° C when Im in the game and the drop-down list for 60 in a second if I leave the game. From now on half an hour after playing, he reads 45 and 46 for two hearts. The time will not change if I have a notebook cooler. I've only tried this particular game, since I do not play anything else now.

I know running more hot than portable computers desktop computers, but is this normal or not and what I would do to this topic?

a little more hot is good. ;)
In my opinion, this is normal. Until everything is working properly and there is no overheating it is OK.

When you play games using high performance power plan with maximum cooling method level. Make sure that the laptop is cooled properly, cooling grills are free, and I think that everything should be OK.

  • Satellite L650 PXE - E63:error initializing the NIC - error start

I have a Satellite L650, which is 2 months old.

The motherboard makes a ticking noise (I think it's what makes noise), and when this noise occurs it causes very slow computer! It has been thus since I got it pretty well.

Today, the computer makes noise, my itunes music started to jump (it was the only program running) and the computer froze and was told that he could not find windows. When I restart my computer it runs the windows startup repair 7, found nothing wrong, and restarts the computer. When the computer restarts, the screen stays black for a long time... and then it flashes a blue screen (flash is so quick that I have no idea of what he says) and asks if I want to rerun the repair. I choose not to start windows normally... and the screen goes black for a long time, however there is no ticking noise, but it seems that nothing happens.

    If I force a reboot, I get an error message saying along the lines of;

For Atheros PCIE Ethernet controller... Check the cable connection
PXE - E63:error initializing the NIC
PXE - MOF: exit intel PXE ROM
No device bootable-insert boot disk and press eny key

    Help, please!

    > Today, the computer makes noise, my itunes music started to jump (it was the only program running) and the computer froze and was told that he could not find windows.

Sounds like the HARD drive failure.
That would explain the PXE Boot error as well.
This error occurs if the laptop tries to boot from LAN because other sources bootable couldn t be found.

In my opinion, you need to replace the HARD drive.
If the warranty is valid, get in touch with a local ASP from Toshiba and ask the new HARD drive

  • Satellite L650 / 0K 3 - attracts dust

My 3 week old Satellite L650/0 k 3 works well EXCEPT that it attracts dust. On the screen, the keyboard and the body. You could call cela a magnet to dust.

This does not affect its operation, but my laptop is black and dust is very visible. Yes, I admit I'm 'nit picking' but after forking out around $1000, I feel entitled at least a comment. No, I'm not wearing clothes of silk, in fact, my clothes are mostly cotton.

Other owners know about this problem? Does anyone have a solution?

    Hey,.

I think that there is a problem with your laptop. I mean on the color black see you every grain dust but if it of own it is superb and has big thinking. In addition he s according to the room where you use Notepad. I guess that if you use your laptop in the room there are a lot more dust in the air as in a clean room for example.

It of the same with cars: black car looks great if it s washed and polished but a few hours or days later, you can see every grain of dust on it. Silver cars also have a high gloss when they are a little dirty and you don t see any dust on it.
Absolutely the same thing and that s no question ;)
