Hello

1. you have inserted a disc into the CD/DVD drive?

Follow the steps mentioned below and check if the problem persists.

Step 1:

Test in safe mode and check if it works.

Step 2:

If your computer is running not compromised properly in safe mode, then there must be a third party software that is causing the problem to occur, this is why I suggest you put your computer in a clean boot state.

    Hello
Can someone help me solve my problem on my DVD-ROM DVD region? I tried several free software DVD region, but none of them worked. Therefore, I must only watch DVDs with region 2. The strange thing is that these software worked on the laptop from my friend who is not toshiba, but on my laptop, it can make no effect. Please help me! I appreciate the answers really.
    Thank you

    Hello David

In my opinion, you can't write on any kind of problem. Each player used in Toshiba laptops can change the region code for a quintuple. The last code used will be fixed and there is no way to change this.

It is well known that it can be changed by using different software, but why it is not possible to do it on your player I can't explain.

  • Satellite C850/074 - question about limitation Code DVD region

I live in Western Australia (region DVD Code 4). I just bought a Satellite C850/074. I inserted a DVD (The Bourne Identity). Message:
' + This DVD can not run because your DVD region Code is 4 and the region Code for the DVD 2 + ".

There is a procedure by which changed from 4 to 2, but this area Code is possible 4 times. After the 4th change DVD region Code is the Code inserted for the 4th change.

I had this problem with a DVD player, I bought over 10 years ago. I changed my old DVD by finding a code of procedure on the net which allowed the region Code will be replaced with region Code 0, who plays all DVDs.

Since then, I bought two DVRs of pioneer who play all DVDs regardless of region Code.
I thought that this ancient thought was a thing of the past. Now, I find that Toshiba seems to be disconnected curent DVD playback devices.

Is there a method by which the region Code can be changed to region 0 Code which plays all region Codes?

This Toshiba laptop does not offer a method of changing the number: it offers a choice of countries, which continues to limit the DVD that can be played and the number of changes to 4.
    Help please

    > Is there any method by which the region Code can be changed to region 0 Code which plays all region Codes?
No, there is no method that allows you to change this settings always.

Of course, you can find many more tips in the world wide web how overcome these settings, but I do not recommend trying this. Most people say that a firmware update is necessary, but use of this incompatible firmware will damage the CD/DVD drive so its definitely not recommended.

  • Equium - How can I change the DVD region?

even thought it says I have 1 more change available. I have a Pioneer DVD - rw dvrkd08a ata device and he tells me he needs a region 2 original disk and insert the disk and try again, but I just go around in circles.

How to make that one final change from region t rear 2?

    Hello

The DVD region is limited and can be changed to 4 or 5 times
If the option is grayed out then that would mean that you have already changed this time view settings and now it is not possible to s more.
In my experience it of not possible to disable this limitation

Of course, there are a lot of different information about this and many people are trying to solve this problem by updating the firmware using a few pirates and unofficial software but I would not recommend this because it could damage the STRANGE

  • Error message DVD region code in Windows Media Player on Windows 7

Original title: Windows Media Player cannot read my DVD

I'm reading a DVD that was produced by my company in Toledo Ohio. A pop-up message telling me that it cannot be read in my part of the world. As photography video and DVD recording made in Toledo, I don't understand why it won't play. More when I went to the web for help following the instructions that I was told there is no solutition for this problem. Can you help me?

    Hi johnefalk,

Try these steps and check the result.
    Step 1: Change DVD region
    a. Click Start, type devmgmt.msc and press on enter to open Device Manager.
    b. double-click on CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives, click on the DVD drive that you want, and then click Properties.
    c. on the DVD region tab, make the desired changes.

Note: To configure your DVD drive to play discs from other regions, select a geographic area from the list of regions. As a general rule, you must select the region in which you reside. It is not often necessary to change the setting again.

Important: The region can change only a limited number of times. When changes remaining equals 1, and you select a new region, an alert is displayed to warn you that after this, you only will be able to play DVDs from that region. Be aware that you will not be able to change the region setting for some DVD hardware and software decoders.

Step 2: If the problem persists, run the Windows Media Player DVD Troubleshoot utility and check the result.
Open the Windows Media Player DVD Troubleshoot utility

  • Qosmio G20: DVD region Code?

    Hello

I am about to purchase a Qosmio G20 wasn't what I just learned today that they won't be available mid-2005 in Belgium.

However, in preparation since then, I have a few questions:

Because the Qosmio is a DVD playback mode without having to start Windows, this means that the region will be probably set somewhere in the Bios for a given region.

Travel laptop users and my partner is American, so we have DVD region 1 and 2.

Are there any evolution of the WinDVD software when running on Qosmio the failing lock a region code after X play. I've never understood that laptops (mobile systems) have the same restrictions as the reception of readers of DVD/entertainment (whow by the way no one knows!)

So, how can we play the two regions on the Qosmio G20 or anything that will be available for the Belgium.

    Thank you
    Danny

The bounding can be changed 5 times.

After the last selected region Code is saved in the DVD player.

But also, there are a lot of programs (Freeware) that help make your life easier and work around this Limitation.

The only thing that you can do this through precaution is to google all over the place.

As I mentioned in my post http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums//message.jspa?messageID=211412 at first you should do it here:

    My computer-> drive CD / DVD-> properties-> Hardware tab-> choose the CD drive / DVD-> properties-> DVD region

The DVD region tab contains options to change the region code

    Hello!

Well, to me it sounds like it's the Linux boot disk isn't working properly if you can start the Toshiba Recovery disk successfully.
Have you tested the same disk of Linux to another computer or laptop?

In your case, I would try to burn the Linux disk again and use high quality as Verbatim DVD - R or TDK media.
Never had any problems with the two manufacturers.

    Good luck!
