Non-responding TV/remote control

My model #KDL - 52EX700 Sony TV does not respond for 4-5 minutes after ignition. My remote is a RM-YD033. Have replaced the batteries in the remote control, but still will not respond. All that is on, when I turn on TV will stay because I am unable to change anything for about 5 minutes. Help!

Hello jrw4par, thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.

Follow these steps to troubleshoot a remote that no longer works or does not work properly:

1. make sure the device you're trying to control works.

  • Plug it into an electrical outlet that works, you know.
  • Switch on the device with its own switch (not the button on the remote control).

2. make sure that the remote control not less than 3 feet and no farther than 10 feet away from the unit.

NOTE: With the help of the remote control too closely or too far could prevent the infrared (IR) beam to reach the device IR sensor.

3. when using the remote, remember, so that it points directly to the remote unit sensor.

4. If the remote control has the ability to be set for different functions (TV, comics, DVD, to THE, STB, etc.), ensure that correct operation is selected.

NOTE: See the user manual to determine if the remote control has the ability to be set for different functions and, where appropriate, for instructions on how to configure these functions remotely.

5. remove all the obstacles that may be in the path between the remote control and the unit. Glass doors or enclosures can affect the signal from the remote control. Try to open the glass doors to see if that makes a difference.

6. make you sure the device IR sensor is not exposed to the direct rays of the Sun or fluorescent lights or halogen. Bright lights shining directly on the IR sensor can interfere with the reception of signals from the remote control.

7. check that the remote control sends an IR signal.

8 remove the batteries from the remote control, press each button two times, and then reinstall the batteries.

9. install alkaline batteries.

IMPORTANT:

  • Don't use rechargeable batteries.
  • Ensure that the batteries are inserted correctly by matching the polarity of the batteries with the + (PLUS) and - (LESS) the symbols in the battery compartment.

10. do a power reset for the device or component that the remote is supposed to control.

NOTES:

  • Most of the components can be reset by unplugging the power cord from the electrical outlet for a minute.
  • Refer to the operating instructions for the component to get specific instructions on how to perform a power reset.

  • Remote control does not not on Touchsmart 610-1030uk

Worked very well for a long time. Now out of warranty. Battery very well. Indicator on the remote and on PC (white LED on the front panel) show IR work. Mouse and keyboard are still working fine. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for Microsoft eHome infrared transceiver but still can not respond to remote control of the machine.

    Any thoughts?

Hello frrw. Sorry to waste your time. I changed the batteries and it works great. It seems that the red LED on the remote control and the white LED on the PC that flashes when I press a button on the remote control do not mean that the batteries are strong enough.

Meanwhile, I have this recurring problem with blu - ray players. I'll post a new question and maybe you can help.

  • Remote control does not respond with Toshiba 24D3434DB

    I recently bought a smart TV 24D3434D.

I was incapable of analysis for all channels when I bought because I didn't have an aerial socket in the room in which I used it, but I was able to use the tv feature smart until suddenly the TV displays a screen telling me that no channel was available and no longer responds to the remote control.

I returned to the store and the tv started to react to the remote control again and they were able to search the channels it. When I House and rekindled it remote control not responding until I tried again the next day after I left it unplugged over night.

In the morning, I found that the remote was working again until I plugged the tv in an adapter and not directly in the sector where the TV no longer responds to the remote control again.

Anyone know why this is happening or what I can do to fix this?

    Thank you.

    > In the morning, I found that the remote was working again until I plugged the tv into an adapter and not directly in the sector where the TV no longer responds to the remote control again.

What adapter do you mean exactly?

The remote control works correctly if the TV is connected directly to the power grid?

To be honest, it's the first time I encounter this problem.
Perhaps some sort of light affect the functionality of the remote control, it is maybe s really a TV or remote hardware problem.

I guess to see what s twist exactly you should test with a different remote or another TV and same remote control.

  • 1700 MXP not respond remote control

    Hello

One of my clients has problems with their codec MXP 1700.

It no longer meets the remote control. They tried another remote of an edge 95 MXP that does not work either.

The two remotes work with the decision of edge 95 MXP on batteries or a remote control problem.

The remotes are the two TRC 4.

I checked the deployment guides and admin and it says that the only way you can tell a MXP stops responding to the remote control is to Kiosk mode and select this option. The device is not in Kiosk mode.

I have RMA had the codec. They have received a new and configured it but they have exactly the same problem.

Here, any help would be greatly appreciated as I really don't want to have to do another RMA.

    Thank you very much

    Luke

Check the following to ensure the functioning of the TRC4 remote:

Control Panel > Menu Settings > KIOSK MODE SETTINGS > ALLOW the USE OF THE remote CONTROL: WE

Control Panel > Menu Settings > KIOSK MODE SETTINGS > KIOSK MODE: OFF

Once you have confirmed that ALLOW USE OF REMOTE CONTROL is enabled, you can use the shortcut key to activate the Menu.

    • Press the phone book 5 times and then press 2.  You should now be able to navigate in the menu of the MXP using the remote control.

You can also increase the remote control IR signal, if necessary.  To access the switching of IR signals, you need to remove the cover of the batteries and batteries (see attached image) on the remote control.

  • 22D133B: replaced charger DVD - no play, pause, stop, etc via the remote control

    Hello

I have a 22D1333B in for repair because it would not play the DVD. I replaced the charger DVD (part No. 75040787) and the unit will now play DVDs ok but the DVD section will not respond to the remote control.

All other TV functions operate via the remote control without any problem. It's just the DVD section.

I cured the last of them by exchanging the PCB on the new DVD unit with that of the old unit, but this certainly isn't the way to address this problem.

I downloaded and installed the software on the site of Vestel and updated the software for the Toshiba site. The fault remains.

Any help to solve this problem would be welcome.

    T.I.A.

In my opinion the new DVD drive isn't fully compatible with the remote control (type) RC1910 that was included in the box.

I think you should get in contact with the authorized service provider to fix this

  • Button of the front panel & remote control questions Qosmio F30-140

Hello to all users of the Forum and to whom, who prefer Toshiba to a daily activity of s.

I am owner of laptop Qosmio F30-140 for 7 months. I can say that I m happy with my laptop. But about 2 weeks back, I had some problems, which I can't resolve up to our days.

I use Windows Defender to protect my PC from alert elements, applications of which I erased by this program once. There after I ve discovered that s keyboard buttons in the library and the remote responds does not and does not control panel. I had tests to recover by Qosmio player recovery CD, but unfortunately all attempts have failed.

Please help me solve this problem, because I am deprived of my remote control, in which I so need.

As for you and best regards.
    Dr.VugarVali

    Hello

Looks like you have just messed the whole OS.
Use and relocation of the recovery CD Qosmio Player will not allow Toshiba cotroll buttons and remote control.

In you case reinstalling the driver would be desirable; Start with Manager common Module, controls, remote control.

If it does not help the use of CD recovery Toshiba does wonders! ;)

But note; Don t forget to back up your data because the recovery CD formats the HARD drive!

  • Toshiba DVD Player & remote control driver needed

    Hi all

    my camera is Qosmio X 300 - 13O, & I installed a clean W.7 64 bit format.
I used the program to install drivers Toshiba for W.7 as I installed the package of value added.
but none of them have these two thing I really wish she was back!

Q: Does Toshiba Drivers Installer W.7 include; Value Added Package?

    Hello

To be honest, I don't know what Toshiba Drivers Installer. Where you found it?
Anyway, your Qosmio belongs to the PQX32E series and all Win7 tips you'll find on the download page of Toshiba under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com

As I see the reader DVD is offered as a update only. What you can try is to install the 64-bit version of Vista and see if it will work properly. After this try to install the update for Win7 64 bit.

    What about the remote control?
New installation on Qosmio x 300 is quite complicated and more free stuff you can use after Win7 upgrade (Vista upgraded to Win7 using the Toshiba upgrade kit).

I did a few months ago and all went well. With a clean install is a bit complicated and I had problems with several hardware components. Quite simply, was not able to install so I have dropped. You can try to install Vista stuff for all the missing components.

  • Remote control for Toshiba Multimedia Center

    Hello everyone!

I don't know how to make my remote for the Toshiba multimedia center work. The only instructions accompanying the product as a whole were safety guides and a quick installation guide, but nothing about setting up the remote control. When I press any button on it, the Multimedia Center are turned on, so no doubt is picking up a signal, but it does nothing. The only button that sometimes doing something is the key mute. I went into the remote control and OSD settings, and everything is checked. Remote control model is the RM-1500 and I changed the sensitivity settings, but none of them seem to have no effect. I'm trying to use it with Creative MediaSource Player, which I assume must have native support for it, but nothing works. So can someone please help me how should I set up?

In addition, to support the application in the settings, what should I write in the 'parameter' and ' start in ' field?

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

I m not similar with this Toshiba product but I suppose that the remote control doesn t need to be addressed in the special order
I guess the Source Creative Media Player is not compatible or don t support the Toshiba multimedia center

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 double-sided printing will not respond to the control software #2

    Win XP Pro SP3

    OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless

Does anyone know why Officejet Pro 8000 had control of double-sided printing, removed from the spec software?

Does anyone know if there is a printer of this type which will respond to such control?

    UPDATE!

    ----------

This printer is now works very well with total control on duplex printing. But how did this happen...?

Two things have changed - well, maybe three.

But first of all to mention another very annoying problem: wireless printer to my network connection always collapsed which was a double nuisance (23/06/2016 see also installing the driver wireless Officejet 8000 Pro says default gateway is 0.0.0.0)

The road to happiness... I've finally updated my PC to a laptop HP Win7 (there is a problem with the laptop, but that's another story...)

During the process of setting up laptop, I had to set up the network and add the printer. In between aid was a FAQ something like "the wirless connection drops regularly." What interested me.

The fix was so simple - mychosen IP address has always been in the DNS range which was probably not very smart, but I didn't know any different. No one had ever mentioned before.

The idea is to select an address in the static range IE outside the DNS. So I took a number x.x.x.249 and bingo!, a solid and reliable connection that is always there.

Given the new laptop for download the drivers again. What went well and of course, the new machine is much faster.

Anyway after a few tries, much to my delight I discovered that two-sided printing worked with auto rotation if I check the box. Printing a document like that I would see in portrate (horizontal spine) and read down the two pages, turn to the next page and the same thing at the end of the document. Or, if you use the rotation of non - normal mode - the printing orientation is 'normal '.

It's a shame that it was necessary to buy a new laptop with a new o/s just to discover the problem by chance...

  • Receiving IR of HP and MC remote control does not work after upgrading Vista to Windows 7.

I upgraded a laptop HP dv9249us for Win 7 Ultimate (64 bit) and Home Premium (32 bit) respectively of Vista and an HP HDX 18 and found that the small remote controls supplied with the PC HP no longer work the IR receiver to control WMC.  For the moment I tried to find a solution for the dv9249us, as the HDX has also a greater remote specialized for the tv tuner, which is still working, but I found that HP did not provide software Win 7 upgrade for this model.  I tried a thought fix it was to be a known side effect of the upgrade process because he appeared in two different rooms and found a HP IR driver referenced to correct this problem for another model called ENE CIR Receiver Driver (sp41645.exe) and install this on the dv9249us without result.  When you check the Device Manager on the dv9249us I have not found reference to an IR unit either in the areas of Human Interface or Universal Serial Bus controller.  I found a reference IR in the section of the Human Interface of the HD-18 referencing an ENE CIR Receiver.  Ideas that you could provide for a non-professional would be appreciated.

I can not find a model of dv9249 specifically on the hp site. I found the dv9200

in all cases, try to remove the Device Manager devices and if requested if you want

It seems that several HP models affected related issues.
