Normal operating temperature - A31 2.0 Ghz

I do not understand how the designers Never thought that a machine that has only 80cm away from your ears can have a fan that it audible.

However, I try to use Thinkpad Fan Control (v0.18) to minimize my fan activity. Remove the battery or the BIOS setting to low speed 'aid', but also means a higher load and therefore more heat!

I don't know if the temperature of the CPU slowed down without the fan turning is normal around 58 C. With the fan in BIOS mode, there are about 42 c, but it still seems quite high to me. Is it possible that it needs new paste theral or the heat sink is not well defined?

Check if you have the latest BIOS/EC on the A31, which could be part of your problem.

Also, try running a newer TPFC (0.33 to 0.62) and see what it does.

Having said all this, cooling has always been a weak point on A3x units first...

How many process - once more - you have running on a freshly booted XP?

It seems average 47 c idle.

I was wondering if it's inactive average temp for this model of process / laptop.

If someone could give me some information, also declare their temperature as well, that would be great!

They seem to be in a normal range and as a precaution, please see this article on heat reduction.

  • Satellite M40x: Question about normal CPU temperature

    Hello

Can someone tell me what is the normal operating of the processor (Intel Pentium M 730 1.6 GHz) for the Satellite M40x series?

    Hello

Well, it's not easy to say what the normal temperature may be because it depends on the central unit using performance. If the CPU works more with the performance of 100% if the CPU temperature is higher.

  • Update BIOS Portege 2010 / operating temperature

    Hello

How can I update my BIOS when using Ubuntu Linux?

The reason why I want to update my BIOS is on the one hand, Ubuntu
writes an error during the startup and recommend to upgrade and
the other hand, I fear that there may be a temperature problem, at least the
laptop gets slower after working for a while.

The laptop operating temperature usually is between 45 to 64 degrees.
The fan starts running at 62 degrees and goes off to 52 degrees.

The temperature seems to be pretty normal, I would say, but I think that it is not normal that the
laptop gets slower when using above 50 degrees.

I already opened it, it seems to be all right with the cooling unit, no dirt for example...

Maybe I just persuade me I and the performance is quite normal for a PIII with
    866 MHz?

    Thank you

    Dear Julio

I guess you know that Linux is not being designed load OS and BIOS update is created to be performed by running the Windows operating system. This beautiful Portege is known to me and I know very well that this is not the laptop the fastest and is designed for commercial purposes working with Office, electronic communication, and any other daily activity.

Because of this can be the answer to your last question: Yes persuade you yourself.

  • What is operation temperature of the processor on your Portege R500?

I have a laptop Portege R500 in series with processor U7600 and would * like to know what other users average operating temperature is for normal office use * i.e. Word processing, watching DVD/youtube, surfing the net, etc.

I ask because I recently bought a used dock (port replicator ii) and also upgraded the OS on the laptop. It seems to me that there may be a problem, because under heavy use (compilation of software) performance appears to deteriorate on the machine - only solution seems to be turning the device off and leave it for a few minutes.
Even when I don't have something heavy - such as typing this message, the CPU temperature lingers in the 1980s high (Celsius).

I've seen on the forums that other people have had on this model of laptop overheating problems. My machine is about three and a half years of age. I opened and cleaned the fan in the air compressed and checked that it actually turns when turned on. However, I don't think a lot of air if I put my hand next to the exhaust, when turned on.

Is someone can confirm if the exhaust is supposed to s u c k or expel air? Can you confirm your time average CPU? Anyone having problems with dock causing overheating?

    Thanks in advance!

Can you please tell us what OS you use and what application you use to check the temperature of the processor?

  • Error loading operating system after shutting down the computer because of the high operating temperature

I decided to re - install Windows XP Pro x 86 on my wife's computer. So I went into the BIOS to make sure that the CD/DVD drive has been configured to start first, and then I inserted the DVD and then restarted the computer.

Now, the XP disc started normally. I installed XP to the point where I deleted all previous partitions and then created a new. Windows then displays the warning that the computer would not be able to boot up to what XP finished installing. I guess that's because start-up files have been deleted when I deleted all previous partitions during the installation.

Right after I clicked on enter the warning message, the computer shuts down. No! So, I try to re-boot, in the hope of all simply continue with installing XP, but instead, the computer will display a message indicating that the computer has been stopped because of the high operating temperature. I then go ahead and get a message saying: "Error loading operating system."

No matter what I do, I can't go any further. I can't get into BIOS or anything. If I try the F10 key (or whatever the keys are), I get a beep. It does not properly respond to my entries.

I don't think that the high temperature operation destroyed all components. The computer stopped several times in the past. Furthermore, it would not be part of integrated security if Microsoft enabled the computer reach a destructive temperature before stopping. I think that the problem occurred during installation was interrupted just after that previous partitions have been deleted.

BT, I don't know what to do now. Loooking for suggestions.

  • Operating temperature of A1310Y

Does anyone know the favorite operating temperature of the motherboard (CPU) in 'normal' domestic conditions (about 75 degrees F)?  Both at idle and when you do 'normal' surf (not graphic intensive games).  I am trying to determine if my system works abnormally hot.  The fan seems to come at high speed than normal.  It is not a problem of dust - I thoroughly cleaned it.

Update: the opportunity to make a complete analysis of the system today.  CPU was pegged constantly around 100% load.  CPU temperature reached 146 degrees F.  Room temperature was 75 degrees F.  CPU fan stayed from time to time (1500 rpm): all 'low '.

Arctic Silver, tinting and place the CPU fan to blow air over the radiator certainly contributed the a1310y to run cooler.

It looks like the myRIO 1900 rΘation for 0-40 ° C during the operation and up to 2000 M altitude.  You can find these ratings in the environment of the 1900 myRIO standard section.

    Thank you, Alan

I turned on the computer this morning and "PRESTO!" It has been fixed! I just figured (assumed) the fairy Magic computer was coming over the magic fairy dust at night and sprinkled on the keyboard and instantly, better everything! Ridicule me.

Joking aside, this means - it has declined and is still in my system, lie dormant, so to speak? He wasn't there this morning. I honestly thought that Microsoft Security had just sent an update and just sort of 'fixed' it. I am both ignorant and naïve.

Don't tell the bad guys, or I'll be marked, "EASY!" as a target.

Should I just leave well enough, only? As in, if it's not broken, don't fix it.

Or I followed the procedures laid out for me in the above section?

  • Change STP UME in RSTP mode on two stacked powerconnect 6224 configured for iSCSI during normal operation

    Hello

I'll do a fw upgrade during normal operation on a stack of 6224 circulating BPMH, I am currently aware of recommendations Dells run RSTP on switches configured for iSCSI traffic connected to Equallogic SAN.

I intend to set up another pile with two 6224 to failover and then perform the upgrade on the stack of "old." My question is if it's possible to run BPMH on the 'old' stack RSTP executing on the new stack when LAG is configured between the two batteries?

Another option would be if it is possible to reconfigure the 'old' UME to RSTP stack without interruption between the hosts and the SAN first?

Guidance on this subject would be greatly appreciated

    Cree

Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol is based on RSTP and is backward compatible with

RSTP and STP. So, you should be able to run BPMH on the old and RSTP on the new.

  • Dell XPS 15z: "your battery is temporarily disabled. If please shut down your computer and try again when the unit is in the operating temperature"

    Hello

last night, I was working on my laptop, I realize that my battery is low. so I put for loading... after a while, I realized that the battery is 75% charged so that I disconnect it. and my laptop turns off.

the laptop refused more late start... therefore I reconnected it the charger and the laptop turned on with the light that displays the State of charge (white light near the intersection of the keyboard screen) starts to blink in a cycle of 5 times... 4 times orange and 1 white time... and this cycle continues until I use the laptop.

and this message when I go to THE BATTERY option "your battery is temporarily disabled. Please shut down your computer and try again when the unit is in the operating temperature"my cell phone is outta warranty... what should I do? kindly help

    hchentanshankar,

    Welcome to the community.

I am sorry to read that you are experiencing this issue.  The battery is likely guilty, but you should check to see if there are any problems with the laptop or AC adapter / CC before you rush out and replace the battery.

I would start by checking the bios, boot the system by pressing F2 to enter the bios, you can also press F12 and select the bios menu.  Once in the bios look for the option for AC adapter warnings, if they are disabled they can and save the changes. If there is a problem with the adapter, you should start getting errors on the adapter.

If the adapter seems well, disconnect the battery from the system and turn off the laptop.  Wait an hour or two and then replace the battery and restart the system and see if you continue to get the message.   If you can run the laptop on battery only to leave the battery completely and then load it again and see if the problem returns.

I know that this may not be possible before you buy a new battery but if possible try a power adapter and the battery and see if the problem persists.  In this way, you can know if the problem follows the laptop battery or the AC adapter.

Please let me know what you find.

If I understand your question, try this: go to control panel and click on display. That will open a window called making text easier to read. Make sure its game for the magnification, which is 100%. From there, you can use the controls in the menu on the left to refine the display on the screen, including potentially change the screen resolution or aspect ratio
