NormalCDF 48GII graphing calculator

Hello

I'm trying to use the normal function of the CDF on this calculator to find the area under a curve. I have the average (160), standard deviation (30) and the value of X (100) for my problem. She asked the probability that it is LESS than 100.  However, I can not understand how to put the number in the calculator to get an answer. The user manual says to use "UTPN" so I tried to put UTPN (160,30,100), but nothing happened. I also have a Z value, but I'm not sure where that comes into play in all this.

If anyone knows how to do that help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hello

First, a note on the data - the UTPN function uses mean, Variance and value X. You have the deviation and variance (variance) ^ 2. The entries are 160, 900, 100.

If you are using RPN, values must be in the front stack execution of UTPN:

Then run UTPN (found also by MTH-> PROBABILITY-> UTPN)

the answer should be 0.977249868052

If you are in algebraic mode, enter as you did with UTPN (160,900,100) and you should have the same answer:

Notice now that the calculator provides the answer where it is higher than X, then you need to

1 YEARS, give a definitive answer to 0.022750131948

If your calculator is still not give an answer, please answer, perhaps, there are some settings that need to look at.

  • First Graphing Calculator Identification of old Version of main material has

    Hello

I tried to update the firmware to the latest version (2014-07-02 (6031)) on my graphing calculator of premium without success, the release_info.txt file which indicates (for 2014 03 31 (6030) firmware version):

There is limited between that backward compatibility and earlier releases.

First older hardware (revision A) supports this version, but the stream without thread-to-unit and data functionality is not supported on previous models. In the first screen HP help > revision of material appears with the software version information.

How will I know if my calculator hardware number is A revision material?

Is the version of CASE the number of material?

    Thank you very much

    H.

    Hello

All primes of HP are upgraded to the version 6030 (note that 6031 is for PC emulator only). It's just that the material has a problem with certain communications.

Firmware version prior to 6030 (5447 and older) do not show the hardware version in the display 'a way'.

When you upgrade to 6030 the hardware version will appear on the display 'a way'.

Alternatively, you can determine the version of the material from the model number (located on the back of the box she approached, the bar code):

    NW280AA is A revision material

G8X92AA is the review material C

In addition, the following process is recommended for the upgrade of the premium:

Install the connection from the CD Kit.

Once installed the connection, update the calculator.

    The following method is recommended:

    • Connect your HP Calculator first via the supplied USB cable (connected directly, do not use a USB hub)
    • Start the HP connectivity Kit
    • Click the tab of the calculator
    • Right click on the name of the first HP you want to update (it would be that you connected before starting this procedure)
    • Write down the version number, and then click the OK button
    • Click the Help Menu and select Check for update
    • Look for the pop-up box to update, check the version number that is newer than the one you want to update.
    • Then click on the download button
    • That's it, you will see the update being loaded and installed on your calculator screen. Don't click too quickly out of the HP Connectivity Kit, wait a minute or two after the completion.
    • In addition, there are a step in the connectivity Kit where it is advisable to back up the version that you had before the procedure, just in case. This way, you have a way to cover again.

    Kind regards.

  • The first graphing calculator HP will not update. Stuck at x 2 + y2 = 1

I tried to update my brand-new first HP Calculator graphic using a version update of the HP connectivity Kit.  The update failed and the calculator will reset but not exceed x 2 + y2 = 1.  I tried to use the following manual method of a post on Educalc and the usbtool will not load the update.  ANY HELP, PLEASE!

Of HP first Firmware update manual

1 download the firmware files and unzip into a folder

    2 wipe Calculator (optional)
a grip on the keys of F, C and O while resetting calculator
b to the menu, press 4.3, then enter
c when the format is complete, go to step 3

3 given to zero Calculator (back button) while holding the button "Symb".
(poster or screen update tool ARM or recovery mode)

    4. connect the computer using the USB cable
(wait of recognize the device USB)

    5 run usbtool.exe

6 select the check box 'Auto update '.

    7. click on the button "Update".
(blue bars will show that the unit is updated)

    8 calculator reset

Note: If a step fails, please proceed to step 3

Please, do not update your HP Premium using Parallels on a Mac Desktom.  I tried and the drivers of USB Port would not allow the update completed successfully using HP Connect, the Update.exe program or the application of usbtool.exe.  I managed with the help of an old laptop on XP using the USBTool.exe application using a native PC environment.

I will say that I am running OS X 10.10 Mavricks Beta 2 on my MAC, but I don't think it's a problem, although I will know Parallels.

If you use a MAC, borrow a PC (ugggh) to update your first HP.

NOTE: the usb tool is displayed as part of the ROM for HP Premium updates on educalc.com at: http://www.educalc.net/2336439.page

  • Graphing calculator virtual machine by the data store size?

    Hello

I am interested in creating a dashboard to illustrate the growth of space on a data store but by VM as apposed to the entire data store.

I try to help track down when the space used on a datastore jump illustrating changes in the size of the virtual machine, e.g. VM is responsible.

Ideally what I was looking for a graph with all the VM from the store of data that are selected, but I went through a variety of different dashboards and nothing seems to provide the data I'm after.

Is there an easy way to display this type of data?

    Thank you

    Paul

The example I gave was dynamic. You would be populating the graph of a widget of virtual machines. This widget of VMs would be filled by selecting a data store.

You would have 2 resource widgets and widget 1 graph. The free provider, data warehouses, will be simple a list of filters RK DSs. The following resource will receive the DS resource widget interaction and display the 'parent' and also filter by VM RK. When you select the virtual machines, select multiple interaction and it will fill on the chart widget. Then just manipulate it from there.

If you want to get fancy, you don't have to bother with a resource interaction file and throw a metric selector between the VM resource widget and the graphic metric, then you will spend multi select multiple selection interaction and so to the graphic metric... this way you are not stuck to display only a few types of attribute in the GIR.

    Dear experts, ladies and gentlemen,

I stored a few equations on SD card. If I call a return to its store number [RCL, PORT 3, equation, ENTER], the equation appears on the screen. Now when I carry them in the EQ - line [num. SLV, SOLVING of EQUATIONS, OK], a totally other equation is displayed then it. What is the error and what can do? I am very grateful for your help.

    Kind regards

Sorry, it doesn´t work. I recalled an equation of the SD - card of his name, for example PROG3. Then the equation of the line is located at the bottom of the screen. Now I press the Board down and the equation is moving to the center of the screen and it is marked. But now, it is impossible to move the later equation on the top line of the screen and impossible to work with her. I can do what I'm going, all the isn´t of use.

    Thanks for your help.

    Mr. O.Knapp

    No, it will not work.

When equations is on the bottom line of the screen, save it on behalf of the EQ (in the home directory).

However, I recommend a use you the second method suggested in my post:

    NUM. SLV, SOLVE EQUATIONS, OK

    Highlight the line EQ

    Select "CHOOS" by pressing F2

Now select 'TREE' by pressing F1

and navigate to the desired location of your equation, for example 3: SD and press 'OK' F6

then highlight the name of your equation, and when it is highlighted, press 'OK' F6

the equation should now be in the Solver.

    Kind regards.

  • Try to find a sinusoidal regression using Moda - HP 50 g graphing calculator equation

I am using the Moda program (download here: http://www.hpcalc.org/details.php?id=3905) to find sinusodial of equations (sinusoidal regression) of a set of data points.  I opened the menu soft clicking

    Hello

After you have given the initial estimates for A, B, C and D, you are indeed taken on-screen host, but with the menu soft of MODA.

If you look at the example provided with MODA, you must make the curve fitting iterations (using LEMA - e.g. [LEMA] x, where x is the number of iterations that you want to try - the Chi ^ 2 result is acceptable low).

Then you can do [CONSPIRACY] to see if the editing seems good.

Out [CONSPIRACY] and then use [SPAR] to display the values of A, B, C and D. You then build the equation using the model you have chosen and the values of A, B, C and D.

    Good luck!

    Kind regards.

  • HP 50 g graphing calculator

Can someone please help me - I'm trying to load (used for surveying) close program on my computer with an SD card, but at this stage have no chance. I need urgent help if someone is able to provide.

    Kind regards

    Justin

8 GB card is the problem...

in the world of the 50G, even large programs don't take up much memory.

a 2 GB card is therefore a significant amount of storage for programs of 50G (almost infinite for a normal user)

You can use any card size 2 GB or less... This means that if you can find a friend with a 512 MB or 256 MB, etc., a camera, these cards should work.

FYI, the program DESTROYED is only 19Kb... He then takes a minimum block of 32 KB of memory on the card...

    2GB / 32Kb = ~ 62 500 programs the same size as the program DESTROYED

  • HP 40GS stuck on the hourglass for the calculation of certain integrals

So I used my calculator HP40GS for awhile, and I've never had problems with it.

Recently, when reviewing for the examination of calculation AP, I noticed that the calculator could not do some integrals. Because I already went through the lesson using the graphing calculator calculators and integrals without problem using my computer, I don't think that there is nothing special about this one.

    One of the integrals in question is 3 * e ^(-x/2) * sin (2 x) on the interval [0,2].

I tried to make the home screen capture (in the mode of operation):

    ∫ (0,2,ABS (3rd ^(-x/2) * sin (2 x)), x)

The calculator has been blocked at least five minutes on the same screen with the little hourglass until I pressed on 'on' to force her to leave.

Also, I tried to do this in CASE mode, using the manual view. This also does not work.

Other calculators in the classroom (TI-83) did the integral almost immediately.

My memory is not yet close to being complete.

Is there something I could do or check to solve the problem? Other integrals seem to be more or less fine.

    Thank you!

When you do digital integrals, some of them may take some time. On the 40gs and many other units of HP, the accuracy of the correction is what distinguishes the accuracy of assessment. Try to set the precision of DIFFICULTY 4 in the homescreen of modes and re-evaluate. I suspect that he will return very quickly. That should mean "exact to 4 decimal places.

You can also try to do exactly in the CASE and then to assess the result. In many cases, it may be faster.

  • New calculator?

    Hi all!

I tried to find some information about it! So I couldn't find, that's why I'm here asking you guys!

I used to have a 35s calculator, however, I had a few problems with mine... Not really a problem if... My calculator got stolen!

Now I use my 50g for doing things, in which is a great calculator, but you guys know, the 50g is not possible to take with you as the 35 s is... and for the tasks that I am doing, it is not necessary to have all the potential 50 g with me...

So, I have to buy a new and I started to look around for new HP calculators, the only thing I discovered is that a new first called HP Calculator is coming, but this calculator is a new model for the graphics...

Does anyone know if HP is about to release new albums a scientist such as 35s? I want to know, because if a new scientific model is coming I would wait for him to make an another 35 s!

    Thank you!

    RE: HP 39gII

If you live in the United States, I'm not sure that it is on sale here.

It is a very different graphing calculator in size to 50g in any case and has no RPN.

Unfortunately there is currently not an update to the 35s.

Other information that I have collected over the years of research and assignments in other forums.

I got a 50g programmable graphing calculator aimed a person speaks Spanish and wonder until I open it if it would be possible to change the settings from Spanish to English?

There is really not much in the way the language supported on the 50 g. It would lead to a bit of the error and a few other things, but in many cases you can not yet noted that he has been placed in another language.

Anyway, he would come in English by default unless it has been used.

You're a 52 (radians!) power for the sine function, and converts the effect. That makes no sense at all!

You must convert to radians before sine functions.
