  Hi hunted, something is change or replace your prefs.js file.

  Maybe you can thwart it by creating a user.js file. This file is read at startup of Firefox and replace prefs.js. Basically, it only needs a single line, if you could open prefs.js in a text editor after you have corrected to the homepage preference, use Save as to create user.js and then remove all the lines and save/close.

  By 'technical management' is displayed as a link, I'm guessing that you have some kind of Malware or downloaded Junkware that infect your version of IE7. There is no link in the code, so it should not appear as a link in any version of any browser.

  You can run an anti-virus/malware program and see if it picks up anything.

  Have you looked at the article Knowledge Base, what to do if Firefox will play all of the sounds? There are many good advice on troubleshooting in there. You might have its just accidentally disabled for Firefox.

  There is also a chance it's a plugin problem. If the first article does not help, take a look at common audio problems and graphics issues.

  b. you may use a personal photo as the background. All of your personal photos in my pictures are listed by name in the background list.

  c. you can save an image from a Web site as a background. Right-click on the image and then click on set as background. The image is listed in the background box as Internet Explorer background.
