Not enough space for music DB and must free up space

My Sansa was working fine and then I downloaded music on the sansa. Then it says not enough space for music DB and I need to clear 90 MB. I was downloading music on the sd card in the mp3. Now when I plug it into my computer it will not sync with my Media Player. I deleted all my music from my Media Player and synchronize it manually upwards and it will not always remove the song on the sansa. Please help someone!

Use the Format function in the settings menu to erase the memory completely and read this FAQ.

OK it works now thanks a lot now I can run in peace.

I'll tell you what I've done and other individuals who may have this problem

I have pluged it in after I formatted, it always says removable disk F: so I clicked on it once, then right click it went down to "open as portable device."

  • Not enough space for music DB - but so car can be recognized on mac or PC

Saturday my sansa (v2) e240 filled after recording radio then I got the message "not enough PACE for music db' - free up to 90 MB. This is not normally a problem I plug it into my mac and remove sufficient podcasts to solve the problem.

However this time when I plugged the sansa, only the SD card would indicate all files and internal drive has prompted a message not recognized disk, inviting them to initialize or eject. The files are also not identified using XNJB or Windows XP (on my work laptop). I have also run the terminal and that the SD card is rated

As with Windows security issues prevent me from transferring files on removable devices on my laptop, I need a solution that is simple for my mac. Initialization of the disk will be the solution or is it cause other problems?

I had a good look in the ABI forums as well as forums of Sandisk, but it doesn't seem to be any similar incident posted or whatever it is in the manual or FAQ - please excuse me if I missed them.

I don't want to go out and replace my sansa with an ipod - this is my second (my first overturned the idea of them being more robust than the ipod fragile by did not survive a fall on a ground (moquete) but if Sandisk continues to ignore the Macintosh so I may be, as security issues make it less and less chance to use Windows outside an environment very limited.)

    Thank you

Put in the form of the Explorer had no effect secondary - recognized in the Finder on Mac back upward and running once the settings reset.

Hello. Whenever I try to open my Sansa clip mp3 player continues to display the message: "not enough space for music DB. Please free 30 MB. And I have 2 GB. • Problem with m230: not enough space for music DB. Please free 8 MB.

OK, so. Hi, I'm new in this forum.

Then.  I wanted to listen to music. SanDisk initialize arrived, then the 512 MB Sansa m230 and then the error:

Not enough space for music DB. Please free 8 MB.

And then you can see: no files 0/0. And the battery is fully charged. I thought that the...

So I decided to connect m230 to my computer. First initialization, then the error came, had to wait a bit and then... the Sansa screen shows:

USB connected MTP (and this popped into my computer: http://i30.tinypic.com/2i9jo82.png)

Then. I open Sansa m230 in my computer and the folder that I saw was: RECORDING

Well... I'm sure many of you could suggest me to format or reset. But... There is a problem:

Where is the format button? (http://i31.tinypic.com/dvoky9.png)

Then. I tried to format it in computer management. Device Manager > portable devices >
Sansa m230. But... where is the format? (http://i31.tinypic.com/10x7q06.png)

I went through a few topics, and someone suggested to format under removable storage, but there is no m230.

Then I thought that I try the FirmWare update. But... the error popped up:

The following error occurred: your device is in MTP mode. It can only be updated in MSC mode. Please disconnect your device and switch to MSC mode if you want to check the updates.

But good... How can I change the mode MSC, coz... If I press the menu button on my m230, always pops up an error:

Not enough space for music DB. Please free 8 MB. I can't do nothing in the menus. Aaand by the way, I have this player mp3 more than a year, so there is no guarantee or something for me I guess.

Then. is there a way to do the hard reset or something? Is there a way to fix my m230? Feel free to ask me questions. I would be very happy if you answer.

Aaand... Sorry for my English. I'm not from English speaking countries

Hello MagicIsland, you may need to format your device, but it will delete everything on your player to try to see if you can always save the files when you connect your device by following these steps.

  • Not enough space for DB - formatted - now FAT is corrupted

I received an error message after the music to transfer to my Sansa Fuze.  The message indicate that there was not enough space for DB and supposed to free 90 MB.  I have read the instructions on the website and formatted the drive.  Now, I get an error message saying that FAT is corrupted and say to connect it to the PC to get FAT.  I reconnected it to the computer without modification.  Then, I downloaded the firmware zip file and uploaded the file on the disk.  Still no change.  Please notify.

You can try the player formatting MSC mode.  To connect the player in MSC mode, with the player to the wide, slide the switch down to the locked position (you will see an orange color it), and then press and hold the< or="" back="" button="" while="" you="" connect="" the="" fuze="" to="" the="" pc.  ="" you="" may="" have="" to="" continue="" holding="" the="">< button="" down="" for="" a="" while="" until="" you="" get="" a="">

If the computer recognizes the player in form through the computer.  If your drive is a one, fornat 2 GB as FAT.  For a 4 GB or 8 GB, formatted in FAT32.

If it formats correctly and the drive does not operate normally, reformat through the player settings to optimize the memory.

Another thing, sometimes the 'diskspace for DB' message appears due to a bad music file (s).  You can check the files that you have transferred before the trouble began.

Just FYI, running sfc/scannow won't help, but it will waste your time and you will not be able to determine which file is causing the problem because...

When sfc/scannow runs successfully, you will see a start and complete message in the Event Viewer log system.

It can take a long time to run and slow down your system.  When it starts and stops correctly you can only see events like this in the case where the system log viewer:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Windows File Protection
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 64016
Analysis of file File Protection Windows has been started.

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Windows File Protection
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 64017
Windows File Protection file analysis completed successfully.

There is no information about what he did or what he did not.

Even if sfc/scannow finds something to do, you will not know about it.

That's why try again more than a waste of time.

    Hello

    1. what operating system is installed on the computer?
    2. you have any third-party backup software installed on the computer?

Start the shadow copy volume service and see if the problem persists.
    a: click Start > run
    b
: type Services.msc in the start search box and click on enter.
c: Are now looking for a shadow copy volumeservice, double-click it to open it.
d: make sure that the Service is started and set to Automatic.

Shadow copy is a technology included in Microsoft Windows that allows taking manual or automatic backup copies or snapshots of data, even if it has a lock on a volume that is specific to a precise moment in time on regular intervals.
There should be more space on the backup destination media to take successfully no matter what data should be backed up from the source backup media.

  • Cannot open the illustration. There is not enough room for the window; increase the area of document and try again

    Hello

I'm under Illustrator CS6 on a Mac version 10.10.3. I created an Illustration and I accidentally did very little to save and close the window. Now whenever I open the file I get the error "unable to open the illustration. There is not enough room for the window; increase the area of document and try again. "This problem is specific to this file only - I can open all other correct files, and anyone who tries to open that particular file on a completely separate machine receives the same error. I read all the posts of people having the same error message, but their problem is different from mine because my problem is specifically limited to this file. I've trashed preferences, hidden and shown the toolbar Application and an open framework of other files and makes them great as possible, has the file open on the file menu, instead of double clicking, and none of these methods work.

    Can anyone help?

Thank you so much in advance!

Well, problem solved. For future users with this problem:

Open a new document in Illustrator

  • iPod cannot be synced because there is not enough space

I just got a new computer and I tried and tried to sync my ipod touch, product type is: Ipod 3.1. and iOS 5.1.1. on the new computer. I have all the songs from the old computer and their transfer to the new computer, but I get the error message "Ipod cannot be synced because there is not enough space to hold all of the items in the itunes library (like 55.88 GB required). I tried to reduce the bit rate only to get the error saying that I need extra GB 38.65. What happens here? Help, please.

You try to synchronize too much media to iPod.

Verify that synchronization of the settings

Try the synchronization using the manual method

  • How will I know that I can uninstall it? It says "not enough space on drive D.

Original title: How do iknow, I can uninstall when I said im my running out of space

not enough space on drive d

    Hello

You may have a serious problem that you can't solve yourself.

Click Start > computer > see if D: is the recovery drive and in this case it must be sized anywhere between 5-15GBs about.

If it fits this description, you should contact the manufacturer of your computer, as they placed this hard disk recovery disk.

The recovery disk is placed there only for you to reinstall the operating system if you have a bad system crash recovery disk to reinstall the operating system in the event of total failure of the hard drive.

The recovery disk is cannot be used for these purposes.

The manufacturer will help you fix it.

If this is not the recovery disk please post back.

    See you soon.

  • Trying to extend the c drive with space unallocated in diskpart.exe - I get the message that there is not enough space. what I am doing wrong?

DiskPart.exe help - not enough space - I have more than 5 GB of unallocated space. trying to expand the C: drive

    Hello mark_kman,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

It sounds as if you have multiple partitions. Disk management and DiskPart extends the volume with a focus on the next contiguous unallocated space. For basic volumes, the unallocated space must be on the drive and must follow (have a plu sector offset number than) the partition with focus.

If you are looking at disk management, this means that, if you look at your partition C: the unallocated space MUST be located directly to the right of the C: partition. If you have another partition between the two, you will be allowed to extend the partition directly to the left of the unallocated space.

This could be a work around, if you have C: and D: and have files on D: but have more space.

-D: shrink to create just enough unallocated space to store your files located on D:.
-Create a new partition with unallocated space to move your files.
-Move your D: files to your new partition.
-Now, to delete the D: partition

This creates unallocated space between your C: partition and the new partition that you created to move your files.

-Now right click on your C: partition and extend as usual.

    Hope this helps

  • "Not enough space" DatabaseException using DatabaseEnvironment

I want to create a database in a DatabaseEnvironment which will store a big data, for example 10 to. But I always get a DatabaseException with message "not enough space", of course, there is enough space to store this data in the driver. She throws an exception of database while put data and the size of the database reach a size (or 125% of the size) specified by CacheInfo, even if I close, and then reopen the database environment and the database. In addition, it throws an exception when I give the param ""Go " a value greater than 1 in CacheInfo, as the"new CacheInfo (2, 0, 1)"." The operating system is windows 8. Why?

The problem have been found in the HashDatabase.Open () method. The filename parameter must be specified as below, or it will lift the DatabaseException with message "not enough space" so that the size (in bytes) of dababases reach CacheInfo size:

    HashDatabase database1 = HashDatabase.Open ("filename.db", "BD1", cfg);

    Base2 HashDatabase = HashDatabase.Open ("filename.db", "db2", cfg);

Maybe it's a bug. I put the filename setting 'null' Berkeley DB documentation Guide.
