My OS is Windows 8 & everything was great on each ite I put my user name & p / w. see windows 8.1 upgrade was free, I've updated this afternoon. I see my p/w limited in simplepass window, but on most of my sites that I revisited, simplepass appears. I even deleted the u/n and p/w in simplepass window & then logged on to the site & waited for simplpass to ask if I wanted to save these details, only to get nothing. However, when I arrived at the help HP simplepass illuminated site & I spent my finger & it worked as expected. Someone here has answered another question by saying: 'try to update simplepass' & mention there are 2 versions, a v8 & v6. So how d I update simplepass when v6 interface hasnothing mentioning "update."

  Q2: I have a HP DV7-6series lapop model & all u / n & p / w have been stored in a folder in my documents & so I was able to keep a copy on a memory stick. This new version has not created a folder in my documents & I can't find the file with all my stored info. If someone can tell me what file is use v6 to store all this information in?

  The issue did appear when you updated to Windows 8.1?

  The issue did appear when you updated your Internet Explorer to v11?

  First thing to try:

  • Close all your programs and shut down your computer
  • Unplug everything (little unifying for the keyboard / mouse external can stay)
  • Perform the Hard Reset for your laptop
  • Start the computer and connect

  Q1 update and the question

  • The database for SimplePass is sensitive to change - he doesn't like the changes made to the configuration of the browser, he dislikes the file system changes, he dislikes login pages which do not correspond to a limited set of rules, he doesn't like the weather changes.  He hates in particular during its creation has been shaken by a change in the operating system.
  • In some cases the above mentioned Hard Reset can solve the problems with the database.
  • You can also try to use repair on the program itself as shown in the linked guide at the bottom of this post.  Repair is essentially an overload of the program on top of itself without first uninstalling the program.
  • You could try to import a backup copy of your most recent Webcard (.tsd file), although you should try the Hard Reset and repair before you apply the backup file; applying a backup of a database of puree probably won't do anything.
  • You could try to "set as default" on your Internet Explorer - we don't know if it's the root of the problem, but after other remedies cause be if applies, it may be useful to do.  Be SURE that you export your Favorites and everything you want to keep to IE before applying the zero setting.

  • There are mainly two versions of SimplePass running on Windows 7 to Windows 8.1.
  • HP SimplePass version 6.x can work with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and perhaps others, if they exist.
  • HP SimplePass version 8.x like Internet Explorer.  At one point he can make friends with other browsers and for some people these browsers may even work with V8.x SimplePass now - others among us, is not-so-good.
  • HP SimplePass version 8.x is a different edition of the HP SimplePass family - this version is written by Softex.  HP SimplePass V8.x provides a simplified interface to SimplePass as well as basic functions as seen in the Group of programs AuthenTec (6.x).   The 8.x interface may seem less robust for those who are used to V6.x.
  • There are key differences between these two versions - one of the most notable changes is the use of a completely different export base by the new program version 8.x.  This means that your export file .tsd with HP SimplePass Version 6.x (passwords and website backup) cannot be used with all of the programs SimplePass version 8; you will have to start from the beginning and add your websites and passwords manually.  For this reason, it is advised that you know your Web sites and passwords before changing the version of HP SimplePass.
  • Instructions to upgrade from Version 6.x to Version 8.x are included in the guide linked at the bottom of this post.

  This problem may be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.

  Clear the cache and delete cookies only from Web sites that cause problems.

  If the deletion of cookies did not help, then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies has been corrupted.

  • Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and if present remove cookies.sqlite - shm and cookies.sqlite - wal in the Firefox profile folder in the cookies.sqlite case has been corrupted.

• PDF with javaScript Pro function, not fully functional in Reader

  I followed the recommendations to implement a button and apply a javaScript so that when the user clicks the button, they can upload a picture and then save the PDF file.

  Adobe Reader can only insert PDF files as images. Adobe Reader cannot convert other files.

• External hard drive WD not fully functional

  I am running windows 7 and tempting to access a 1 or 1.5 TB WD external hard drive. I've used it before without problems, but after having logged in today, I found curiously most of missing files for their content. The structure of the files was intact, but nothing has been in most of the cases (some still had files into it). I could not add anything to the device. After unplugging, try another computer and reconnect, I was able to get recognized by my PC, but still does not.

  I can see the device in 'My Computer', but instead of saying 'Éléments', it simply says 'Local disk' and has no bar displaying its size as my drive c.

  After reviewing other threads, I tried to change the drive letter. While "Disk management" section of "Computer management" took some time (probably an hour?) to fill, it has finally arrived and showed the disc as being present and in good health. I changed the letter from G to H, but still no dice.

  When you try to access the drive by double click in my computer, I get an error saying: "H:\ is not accessible. The parameter is incorrect. »

  I tried running chkdsk with the following results:

  89280 cases handled

  Finished files checking.

  0 files converted

  0 incorrect file records processed

  8 EA records processed

  0 files analysis

  After that, it got stuck at the "chkdsk checks the index. For more than 2 hours now, but no progress. Any thoughts on what to do next?

  I just found out that I had to do to activate my new pc with windows 7.  It was installed at the factory. I have problems with windows media player does not play do not most of my cd.  Could it be the problem?  I have to remove and re-install windows 7?

  1. have you activated Windows 7?

  2. what kind of CD are they?

  3. What are the files in the CD file extensions?

  It is not a problem with WMP as you said a few CD to the player. It is better to activate Windows to avoid such behavior in the computer.

  Run the Troubleshooter:

• Sculpt the Touch Mouse: mouse and keyboard not fully functional Center

  I bought and installed a Microsoft Sculpt Touch mouse. The Strip in the center of the mouse has three buttons by default assigned to the previous Page, click Middle and Page Down. I installed the mouse and the keyboard Center (v 2.3.188.0) to reassign these buttons but it allows to assign the button in the middle of the band. How can I redirect the other two buttons?

  This worked perfectly on my desktop, on any browser and any screen size, but did not work properly on mobile (using iPhone 5 c - completely up to date)

  Resembled a kerning problem. Spaces between letters do not match.

  I tried the upgrade to Jquery and has made some changes with some CSS classes, but nothing has worked.

  How can I solve this problem?

  The font you're using, FF Prater, includes ligatures of the letters. Safari is not apply spacing of these ligatures, and so you see uneven spacing between different characters.  There are a few options of fixing of the screen:

  (1) turn off ligatures in Safari (and other webkit browsers) by adding this rule in your CSS:

  -webkit-font-feature-settings: 'liga' 0, 'flashing' 0;

  With ligatures off, there is distance equal between the characters, as expected.  (For more information on ligatures, please see Typekit help |) Syntax for OpenType features in CSS )

  (2) If you do not want to disable full ligatures, try a different value of letter-spacing in this CSS to equalize the difference in spacing:

  letter-spacing: 6px;

  margin: 0;

  }

  I created a mms.cfg file and it works for most of the machines. I have an environment with 3300 machines and all but 400 seem to work.

  I can see the file mms.cfg on machines (deployed via GP), but Adobe Flash is still not updated.

  Is this what can I do to troubleshoot the reason for which is choosing to not work on some machines? These machines all run Windows 7 anywhere Adobe Flash Version 10 to 18 (not the last 18).

  I've attached an example below.

Trying to open the cdr that is created with an image copied from outlook files the Corel could not say the file is corrupted.  However when trying to capture with office installed then the application stops responding when opening the same net as before.

  I downloaded another portable version of Corel and it works, and it was created with thin app that maybe someone here can help me pack my own version?
