("Not Responding") freezing when loading some Web pages

When loading certain pages Web firefox crashes for a while with "(ne répond pas) ' at the top next to the page, also bringing Windows 7 Aero affect the top of the window instead of being hidden." Perhaps this lasts ten seconds give or take most of the time. Currently, the only websites I can remember this are newegg.comand youtube.com. I tried to disable hardware acceleration, this does not solve the problem. A similar problem if I recall still exists for drivers of some(not me) listed as a possible problem, so I'm running drivers Nvidia 344,48 WHQL, updates only after having this problem, and my GPU is a Nvidia GTX 770.

Figured out, it seems to be caused by the add-on greenhouse. Disabled and have no problem.

    Hello

I am trying to solve the following problem...

MacBook Pro with 10.11.3 will not load some web pages (booking.com people.com are just a few). Browser will not make a difference.

Looked around the discussions and tried a few remedies but without success. for example, change the dns data, site reset or 8.8.8.8.8 create a new user and I have tried several different networks.

All the site will load in safe mode.

    Thank you guys!

If they load in Safe Mode, then it is a third-party plug-in or software blocking sites while not in Safe Mode.

Do you have the third-party antivirus or firewall? Do you have any unknown third party plugins or extensions?

Open the Finder, click go > go to folder, copy and paste the following and click on Go

    ~/Library/Internet plug-Ins

This is where your plug-in user. By default, this folder must be completely empty, so anything here has been added either by you or with 3rd party software that has been installed. You can move anything in this folder on the desktop and then try with your sites. If this works, your choice in their folder one by one until it doesn't. Remove the problem and it redownload only if you really need.

I have XP when wordpad opens a file, it makes no sense. It's like the language used to write a web page. How can I change?

Word Pad is for "Rich Text".  It will show in this way if you try to open "Plain text" use Notepad for plain text.  Experiment a little, write something in Wordpad and save it, then write something in Notepad and save it. Try to open in the opposite format.

It is a police problem. Firefox cannot find the font and shows small boxes with the hexadecimal code instead.

Try to set the pref gfx.font_rendering.directwrite.use_gdi_table_loading false on the topic: config page.

To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the 'Enter' key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.

If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.

On my main computer, Firefox 6 and 7 will not load some Web pages (redsox.com, for example - pages just block indefinitely). Boot safe mode does not help. In addition, pages loading in Firefox 7 on other computers, it seems to have a problem with this configuration/installation...have deleted the cache and cookies without improvement. Any advice?

    I would create a new.

I got 4 of Firefox since the release date, but today it acting up - is not loading some Web pages correctly, removing all of the formatting and just put all the text/links/etc in a list along the left side of the window. It is also not displayed pictures of all not more, even if they are all hosted on Photobucket. It's literally ther first time there was a problem with it since the update, and I did not change settings on it at all, so I have no idea why he broke up suddenly. Anyone else get this?

Try Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.

A way of solving problems, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • You can open the Firefox 4, 5, 6, 7 SafeMode pressing the SHIFT key when you use the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • Or use the Help menu option, click restart with the disabled... modules while Firefox is running.

Do not choose anything at the moment, just use 'continue in safe mode.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the shortcut of Firefox (without the Shift key) to open it again.

If it's good in Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one.

  • Satellite C660 - some Web page icons do not work

First of all please forgive me for being very naïve about the functioning of the laptop. I know a little but nothing more than how to perform analyses of virus/malware and surf the net.

I have a laptop C660 - R15 (PSC0LE). I started to have problems with IE8 in windows 7 (it came with the laptop). I noticed that some Web page icons or menus will not work. At first I thought it was a problem of java so made sure that I was running the latest version. But it still persists. So I then upgraded to IE9 that Windows 7 has suggested. This is where the problem has increased.

I can not yet use icons on Web pages and also my laptop now works very very slow when I try to open folders/programs. Internet works ok (ish) but sometimes goes all too slow.

I upgraded my BIOS for a keyboard problem, I had (it had been delayed evil), which fixed the problem and I also ran program PC Health Advisor who said I need some driver updates.

Is it a Windows 7 problem? Or is there anything else I should look at?

Keep your answers in terms of base because I admit openly that I am strongly a technophob with regard to the functioning of the laptop.

It seems that my question has been moved, but it is still. Also the computer is trolling again and it is sometimes so bad that it takes more than 3 minutes to sort. Even when I Ctrl, alt & del it takes forever for the Task Manager start to appear. Any ideas?

Please remove the 'ESET' product (if you have it installed) by following these instructions. If you have a different version of the product, the steps may be different.

Back up all data before making any changes. Never install any product "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" again.

  • Some web pages do not have the installation of scrolling in Firefox, but they do in Safari, I would like to solve this problem.

On some web pages, for example http://www.zen169231.zen.co.uk/jimsplace/beginwinders.htm (and others), by clicking on another topic, the page appears without a scroll bar and does not scroll with the mouse wheel either. This only happens in Firefox and Safari, I do not normally use as I prefer Firefox. Thank you very much.

This problem seems to occur in popup windows, or can it happen in any window? The reason why I mention pop-up windows is that there is a bug in Firefox 38 with the following combination of circumstances:

    (1) viewing a page in a private browsing window
    (2) tabbed browsing is powered down
    (3) you click on a link that launches the link in a new window (because the site code the link with target = "_blank")

The new window opens without menus, toolbar, scroll bars, etc.

Work on this bug is in progress, but I don't know if the fix will be available in the coming weeks. These are the known workarounds so you can continue using windows browsing private - one of them will work around the bug:

    (1) use tabbed browsing (there is a checkbox in the preferences > General > "Open new windows in a new tab instead");

    (2) shift + click the links to open in a new window with standard features. or

    (3) change a bunch of hidden settings as explained below - it will not you make changes to the way you use Firefox, but sometimes you need to enlarge some small pop-up windows that have been sized for a window with no toolbar displayed.

    # 3, here are the steps:

    (A) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (B) in the search above the list box, type or paste feat and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (C) for each preference that begins with dom.disable_window_open_feature. , if it is not 'true', double-click it to true.

You may find that you prefer this anyway, given that sites can band is more these pop-up windows features.

  • Does not load the Web page.

It will not load the web page. It gives an error message or to say that it has expired. The circle on the tab will turn to a stop bit while then just, and nothing comes up. I uninstalled, and re-installed and still gives me this problem. I checked the updates and I am running the latest version.

I disabled my firewall on my Norton Internet Security and Firefox work again. I activated the firewall back and it still works, go figure.

  • Some web pages jump elsewhere after loading

I've recently upgraded to Firefox 12 after hanging the 3.6 as long as possible. I've noticed that some web pages will jump to another location, as soon as it finishes loading, sometimes after, that I scrolled down to the top and read something (I have a slow connection). For example, www.computerworld.com jumps in the middle of the page finished loading. It never happened in point 3.6, nor is it in IE9. How can I fix it? It is very annoying!

Natural_Born_Nerd, you use the hosts file in Windows to block certain domains such as ad/malware? If so, you probably encounter this bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=748803

It is a step backwards and it will be fixed in FF13.

  • When you try to clear all the history in the address bar, even though I followed the instructions for ' ctrl, shift, delete, some web pages remain stuck. Even if I highlight one at a time and press DELETE, they remain. What can I do to eliminate?

When you try to delete web pages of my story on the site of a drop down bar area, I do what Firefox instructed by hitting the "ctrl, shift, delete ' key but some web pages stay." Even if I highlight each page and click on remove, they stay. How can I remove these web pages?

Entries in the bar location drop-down list with a yellow star (blue on Mac) at the right end of the bookmarks and Scripture cannot be cleared from the location bar menu drop down with the delete key.

You can delete this an item marked with a bookmark that appear in the list, if you open this url in a tab and click on the yellow star in the address bar.

This will open the "Edit this bookmark" dialog box and you can click on the delete button to delete the bookmark if you want to delete such an entry marked with a bookmark.
