  You try to play these games... WITHOUT never to set the Graphics (of all the games!)... .in the Configuration program.

  This does not include the screen resolution setting, AUDIO editing, the Options to play the game, the scrolling function, etc.! There may be MORE, but this list is simply the 'Basics' of what you need to do before all games.

  There are games that actually have 'issues'... with some graphics..., cards and Audio, high fidelity.

  Each game/program I know... was a 'README.txt' file, in their software. You can use the option "EXPLORE / Open", leaving these games not run... from the DVD... drive to find. Give this file Readme.txt a good reading... to learn what you can do, or can not do with the game "in question".

  Most people completely ignore this Readme.txt file... and tear his hair... ask yourself 'why' they cannot play their games, then eventually in the Forums like this... complain of their problems. (Now, I wonder 'why'?)

  I am running Windows XP SP3 32 bit. IE8 and 2 user accounts with permissions of system administrator. Flash Player 10 has worked well. Delete us all the temporary files, internet history & cache. I have uninstalled all previous versions & tried to install the lateset version. When you try to download Flash Player 11 error msg vary between 'General error' or ' cannot be updated (filename) ' or we do not have the necessary permission. Now he tells me that it cannot be saved. When it works it will download on 1 user account but the 2nd a/c cannot access applications require a PS to run. older versions cannot be re installed. I reinstalled flash player 17 successfully two days without problem, but of course Flash Player 17 does not now work on web sites.  I ran the Adobe flash player Uninstaller a couple of times between tries - same result, same script error box.  I've lost count of how many times I tried to install it and my fingers are raw...

  Roughly the same time the error box appears or a second or later, my Norton Insight pops up a box that says that Norton has not enough information about this program (the installation program, I guess), to recommend this program, but I don't think that it prevents the installation program to run. Or maybe it is?

  This problem seems to come from the installer of Flash Player, but I don't see anything from Adobe on this matter.  I tried running as administrator, I disabled the parts of Norton to see if it is this error source - I've searched for hours on the internet and I can't find answers.  I've never had a Flash Player update problem so far.  Anyone can understand this or point me in the right direction?   Thank you.

  Installer online team was interested in to this yet and the DPI setting as the culprit.  If the DPI setting is not set to 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% returns the script error.  If you are DPI setting is set to something else, assign him one of them please and Setup online should work.  The team is working on a fix for this.

  To check/change the DPI setting:

  1. Start the control panel and go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display
  2. In the left menu, select set size custom text (PPP)
  3. In the Windows Setup custom DPI select 100%, 125%, 150% or 200% in the menu drop-down
  4. Click OK
  5. Select apply
  6. Open a session/disable
  7. Online installer should now run without displaying the script error.

  Guidelines for the minimum system requirements are especially on what we and won't fix the bugs for.  Flash Player probably works on Windows Server 2000 and we will not intentionally break it or prevent you from installing, but we will also not fix it if it breaks.  In cases where it will crash on launch or some other out-of-box horrible experience, like trying to install on a Mac PowerPC, then we will prevent pure and simple installation.
