Notice of Application install AVG

I got a flashing notice that says "Application of install AVG" but am afraid to click on it, thinking that it is a link of stuffing to infect me.  But no matter how many times I restart or shut down, he has finally returned.  It is Orange color flashing and when I stop, one other caveat appears, but my system go ahead and stop.  All my programs seem to work very well.  Should I worry that he is a threat? or is he really need to do something.  I had the free version of AVG for a long time and updated in March this year. Please if anyone can help with appropriate action, I would appreciate it.

  • Download junk in the background every time that I run Firefox (and I do not have installed AVG)

I am aware of this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/997796 - but I haven't installed AVG. Every time I run Firefox, even in an empty tab page, a few seconds later my bandwidth starts used. I got Cucusoft Net installed guard and TCPEye, and both show that Firefox is connected to the internet and download - even if I have not loaded any page, there's always on 'new tab '...

I too FDM, but this happens with or without its execution (ditto with my XAMMP localhost installation.)

I have disabled all add-ons, and run Firefox in safe mode, still the same thing happens: when I start a new tab, my bandwidth is murdered (parenthesis: my normal surfing via Telkom Mobile internet is sloooow between 60 Kbps and 250 Kbps if I'm lucky, but the download of this background is off-the-charts more than 1 200 Kbps and a few seconds) (, I lost more than 20 MB of mobile internet really really expensive, I just can't afford to waste, that's why I have all these monitors TCP and network graphics running all the time.)

I also ran a Kaspersky rootkit revealer and reported no threat. I have ZoneAlarm antivirus and firewall that does report also no infection (ditto ClamWin)

I found the problem... it's Firefox.

How bloody rude of Firefox... I put my browsers NOT auto-Update (because my bandwidth is so bloody expensive) but you choose to override my settings and auto-update anyway... WITHOUT MY CONSENT.

    How bloody rude.

There's a reason why we put 'no' to the updates, and I expect that respect you this shit.

  • I just installed AVG Security, FireFox is now really slow, what to do?

I don't know if it's problems with Internet or a coincidence that I just installed AVG. But now my FireFox & general link is so slow - FireFox wouldn't start even in a first time.

First of all, please update to 25 of Firefox, Firefox update to the latest version, then my suggestion is to uninstall AVG and use your Microsoft security Essentials anti-virus.

  • all THE applications installed should appear in the settings?

I always assumed all installed applications will appear in the settings screen, but I recently found a few apps that is not included.

Is this correct? For example, if I wanted to disable cellular data for an application, I guess the option would be for all applications, but some are missing, so I'm unable to change that.

all THE applications installed should appear in the settings?

lol adjust the settings in the applications themselves.

  • Applications installed with device drivers OR

I bought a few applications that have been written entirely in LabVIEW that also use data acquisition OR PXI cards.  Before the installation, I installed the drivers of devices OR newer.  I discovered that more than 70 applications installed with the drivers.  Where can I learn what do each of these applications?  I need this information because, in order for me to install device drivers OR on my networked computers, I need to know what my local network vulnerabilities could be introduced with these applications.  If anyone can help?  I enclose a list of executables (*.exe) installed in the C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\ folder only.

    Hi WandaPeek,

I've seen where this error revolves around previous versions of AVG not be completely uninstalled first before installing the new version of messages.  Please see the link next to the site Web of AVG:

    http://www.Avg.com/ww-en/download-tools

If the problem persists with not be able to install AVG, I would suggest checking AVG Web site for support about the error:

    http://www.Avg.com/us-en/FAQ

Also, have you considered Microsoft Security Essentials?  It's free:

    I hope this helps!

Sure.  Analysis of your e-mail anti-virus program:

    • Can slow to receive and send messages, or even fail.
    • Can damage files of storage for messages that you've already sent and received, making it inaccessible messages.
    • Is not necessary.  If you receive an infected attachment and try to open it, the protective device in real time of your antivirus program will block the infection.

  • Can't find applications installed on the mini pro: S

I bought this phone yesterday and the first thing I did was last updated for the software. It went well. Then I installed some applications via PC who worked as they should and went out for a walk. Later, I checked my phone bill, and it was abnormally huge so I guessed that some background applications use internet to do what they must do and put me in this situation. I couldn't stop my Bill raise and said that at one of my friends who helped me in calling his friend and asking him what to do because he has the same phone. He helped me by telling me to turn off "Data Enabled" in settings/WIFI and networks mobile/networks/data access via the mobile network (data set) and my money leak stopped. It was great. When I came home later, I wanted to continue with the installation of games and apps from Android Market via a PC, but I could not. On the web site, I selected an application, click on install and new window pops up telling me that my phone is supported. I pressed install again then it says "this application will be downloaded on your device shortly." Just like earlier that day, then I pressed OK. A took my phone to check the application installed, but I couldn't find it. I've been checking everywhere but no trace of it. I tried other apps and it was the same thing. Then I did a factory reset or however, it's called (the one with the phone being erased memory) and the problem was still there. I just reinstalled my phone software and the problem persists. Someone knows how to fix this? It's a bit disappointing that what happened first day.my conjecture is that the app would not allow the phone, so maybe that's a problem suddenly on my PC?

the "active data" function controls your internet connection through carrier network

you need an internet connection to download the app... it may be the network of the operator or WiFi
first day that your data transfer has been enabled for all the applications that u installed by means of pc have been downloaded

but then you turned off your data traffic

now that u installed apps (((after you disable data traffic))) through your pc would be in the queue of download >...
as soon as you swith on the traffic of data, all applications will be uploaded, but again you will be charged heavily for the transfer of data from the android market on your mobile... so its best to do with wifi or activate certain data plan on your mobile

conclusion: you need an internet connection (wifi or carrrier network) to download applications...

    original title: error message

    Hello cd1968,

Here's what he says about this error in the MSDN library (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms833805.aspx):

    Explanation:

There is a lag between the requested control and service control status. The service may be in a State of waiting to start, shutdown - pending or stopped.

    User action:

Wait a few minutes and try your operation again.

In other words, wait a bit and try again.  You can also try to reboot (be sure to allow time Windows to load completely) and then try to install it.

    Thank you
    Darin

  • Issues installing AVG virus software on my Vista computer

I have Avast! Antivirus, but it arrived last expired last month. Just today, I decided to install another antivirus, which is of moy. I downloaded it @ Allmyapps. Then, after a few hours, it's done... But I need to uninstall first the Avast! I have uninstall removing thru to ' Add / Remove Programs "in the control panel. I deleted all the files associated with it. But then, it seems that I have yet to install AVG, because there is no files in my hard drive. I'm looking for it, but I realized that certain things has been blocked... Search settings blocked a program (which I think the AVG) Pls help me

    * original title - complicated problem. *

Before you try to reinstall AVG, you must first uninstall Avast! using the removal tool, not only the control panel > Add/Remove.  Now you can have need of a similar tool to remove your first failure to install AVG as well.  Check out this guide to uninstall:
