Notification for success messages plugin?

Hello

I just found the http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/application-express/apex-plug-ins-182042.html Notification Plugin
in the oracle plugin repository and I wonder if it is possible to use this plugin, not only in a dynamic action, but also for success messages?

Thanks for the help in advance,
Dirk

    I've just updated to iOS10 today and now all of a sudden my notifications to the texts do not come through. Previously, my text messages would cause my phone vibrates and turns on the home screen, where I could read the message. Now, I only get a notifcation of vibrations, nor my screen is lighting up. None of my settings have changed. Can anyone help?

    Hey manandaca,

    I see that you have updated your iPhone 6s more iOS 10 and are running in unexpected behavior of your message notifications. The first action that we should take to this issue is to check your notifications settings to ensure that the settings reflect the notifications you want to receive Messages from your app. Here is a link to our help article that will help you to locate and edit your notifications for your Messages application settings:

  • Best practices for managing exceptions and success messages.

    Hey people,

    These days I've been shooting packages to clean my application. And question came to my mind, ' should I treat my exceptions the right way?

    So I want to ask you met guys, what is the best practice for this? (I want to learn it until it's too late )

    Currently I have a function that returns "OK" if all goes well.

    return('OK');

    Can I manage my exceptions like this

      EXCEPTION
        WHEN OTHERS THEN
          ROLLBACK;
          RETURN (SQLERRM);

    At THE SUMMIT, I have a process that calls the function and then checks if the function returned "OK".

         IF cRet not LIKE 'OK%' THEN
          RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR(-20000,cRet);
         END IF;

    And in 'process Error Message' I put "#SQLERRM_TEXT #" so that I can see what error occurred.

    Question aside, how do you manage your messages of success?

    Currently in 'process success Message' put something along the lines "Action completed successfully". What to do about all the processes.

    Do you want to do differently?

    I really want to hear what you have to say since I'm tired of feeling like this is a terrible way to manage these things.

    Hi Para,

    Para wrote:

    I don't know of situations where my service throw exceptions like no_data_found.

    and I need to know that the process is not so I can get to see my # #SQLERRM_TEXT.

    I got this by increasing the error in the application (which I think is a bad way to go) if the return is anything other than 'OK '. I get my application error in the process of the apex, and not in my service.
    And I want to show the inline error in the notification. (Which I am currently with my approach).

    You can use APEX_ERROR. ADD_ERROR in your PL/SQL process to throw exceptions in Oracle APEX.

  • Bland success message, make the "sticky" notification message

    APEX 4, RDBMS 11 GR 2, theme 13 (gray/blue)

    I attempt to use dynamic action of fade out of success messages and notification messages (error) "sticky."

    Theme 13, the id of the div that is used for the #SUCCESS_MESSAGE # and #NOTIFICATION_MESSAGE # is t13MessaqgeHolder.  Div for a success message class is t13SuccessMessage and a message notification is t13Notification.

    I noticed other themes use a (different) unique id for the success and the notification messages, but my company has standardized on theme 13.

    (Full disclosure: this code below is from Jonathon Taylor, How - to's of the APEX Web site)

    On the zero page, I create an event with the REAL action Page Load performs the following JavaScript code

    $("#t13MessageHolder").delay (1000) .fadeOut (3000);

    This works fine but the success and the notification of messages fade.  Is it possible to structure the code so that the messages of success fade, but the notification messages are sticky?

    If there is a way easier / better for this that I'm looking for, feel free to offer your recommendations.

    Thanks in advance.

    John

    If the divs resembles

    div id="t13MessageHolder" class="t13SuccessMessage"

    then, everything you need to do is change the selector, as Scott tries to get to.

    However, to select per class / id, you must use a dot instead of a hash.

    $(".t13SuccessMessage")

    You don't need. parent() unless you need to choose the parent of the selected item, which is not necessary if the message div is built as I wrote above - but to determine that we would need to see the actual html structure.

  • We need notifications for email and messages on the desktop

    Hello

    I just found out how to see the notifications, but I don't think they are convenient.

    Is it possible to receive notifications on the Destkop? It would be nice to have a counter of unread for example emails and a message counter.

    Thank you all for Firefox OS! I love this OS.

    Best wishes

    Hol

    Hi joseph.vidal.rosset,
    I'm glad to hear you like Firefox OS! I understand that you want to move the desktop notifications. Currently, there is no option to customize notifications.

    I don't know if there's an app on the market that do that, but you can change all notifications to not appear on the home screen of the setting menu by pressing the Notification. In order to change notifications for new e-mail, tap e-mail account on the three bars on the left menu, click on the gear and then click the name of the account. From there on, there will be an option to disable the new e-mail notifications.

    If you have any other questions on how to use Firefox OS, we are happy to help you.

  • Is there a way to disable notifications for specific people or focus groups, without disabling notifications for everyone? (in messages)

    Is it possible, in messages, the rotation of notifications for specific people or groups of discussion, without disabling notifications for all incoming messages? I sometimes have a lot of messages from my daughter and my phone buzzes away all the time which can be annoying. I don't want to disable notifications entirely or do it on the silence on the other I miss important messages form other people.

    You can enable do not disturb on an individual message, but which will shut down the entire conversation if it's a group. This is not the same as activation do not disturb for the phone, which disables all notifications. Open messages, select the message in question, in the upper right, click details and then scroll to the bottom, you should find the switch to do not disturb.

  • DROID: Notification of only ringtone for text messages, no e-mail?

    I get a ton of emails, and rarely, if ever, require my immediate attention. Text, on the other hand, almost always require my immediate attention but only the figure about ~ 10 per day.

    I want to do is continue to get Visual notifications in the Notification area to the new texts and e-mails. But I want only the phone to play the Notification ringtone for text messages, no e-mail.

    Is it possible to disable or silence the Notification ringtone just for e-mail?

    Or what about different ringtones (with different volumes) to the texts and emails?

    tony7682,

    You can select email, then menu > settings to change to a silent ringtone. You can then go to the e-mail settings and select any ringtone you like.

  • The separate display - process success Message - for INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE

    Hello

    When we either Insert/update/delete records of shape of the APEX, it fires the Page - processing of automatic line (DML) process and displays the following message - process success Message

    -File has been processed.

    Is there a way for each of them, we can change this message...
    I mean, if the creation of a new record - message should be - record has been created... his way... If update... * manual has been updated *... and so on...

    Thank you
    Deepak

    Hello

    One way is to create a component hidden from this page and calculation value according page submit the request.
    for example if the application is updated then the item value record has been updated.

    Then put this point to the message of successful treatment of automatic line (DML) as & Px_YOUR_ITEM.

    Hope this helps

    Gus

    Do not turn off the indicator of successful display, instead of this message you can remove the standard success message by adding the following to your Page-> Execute attributes when the charges article page:

    $("div#success-message").hide();

    More better if you add this to zero page if you prefer to use throughout the application.

    About, Skillbuilders Modal plugin Page I would say please submit more information or if possible set up for example in apex.oracle.com.

  • Dynamic action - notification process success/error display

    Hi people,

    in our application, we have implemented a plugin of notification of the main Oracle apex site.

    We want to use to display a message of success or error for the page processes. Success message is currently held by:
    <div id="success-message" class="success">
    Q1: How to trigger a dynamic action that will call a message notification plugin?

    Q2: How to complete a notification text with the text of the div with id = 'success message '?

    Thank you very much
    Tomas

    Sorting...

    The problem is that you're using jQuery on the page loading code, but Jquery won't be available until jQuery is initializes (up to a certain number of milliseconds after the standard page load event)

    $("#MESSAGE").val().length > 0

    I changed it to use the APEX API, that works perfectly.

    $v("MESSAGE").length > 0

    I have an AM method that I create few records using EO based your.

    I want to display a success message after validation. How to display the message of success on the screen.

    I used the code below

    throw new JboException(accountantRegVORow.getFirstName() +" "+ accountantRegVORow.getFirstName() + " registered Successfully!");

    But this comes as an error message. I want to show as an informational message.

    AJ

    Message is visual element if you should display the message to display to your application (and not the model) component

    Call your method in managed bean, then if there is no error message display.

    BTW, this is generally bad practice (in any technology) to use exceptions for some other purpose (such as notification)

  • #message # no initialized successfully message

    Hello

    I have a big problem... it's here:

    On my login page, I have a link "lost password" only to a public page with a reset of the password of the user process. When this process is successful and I have creates a branch towards the back of the login page, I see the message of success box but the text is #message #.

    In my 'password reset page', the process was a success message and the branch to include it.

    Here is the url parameter:

    .../pls/Apex/f? p = 102:101:208868778433968:NO: & success_msg = application % 20processed % 2F58B4179FDB4FD3A87D706F429B6B2072% 2F

    And it shows a box with this:

---------------------------
#MESSAGE #
---------------------------

    Do you know where would be the problem? It works normally for other pages...

    Tyia,

    See you soon,.

    Arnaud

    Hey Arnaud,

    You should check the model of the page that displays the success message (probably login page). Make sure the "model of success Message" using #SUCCESS_MESSAGE # substitution string and not #MESSAGE #. The latter only works for the notification of messages and is not initialized, probably resulting in the error you have found.

    I hope this helps.

    Nils
