• ios10 notifications when the screen locked and I'm on the phone

  This must be a bug. Nothing else makes sense as to why you program this function in iOS10.

  I rely on notifications for my work in the newspaper industry. I use so many apps like Twitter, Facebook, TXT Message, etc.

  When my phone goes into auto-lock mode and goes black, I still get notifications. The screen comes back to life and I get a notification banner for txt, twitter updates and facebook messages. I can't put my phone to stay unlocked for always as the longest option available to me is 5 minutes.

  Here's the big question. When I'm on the phone and the screen goes black, I stop get notifications. I hear the notification sound and the screen lights up to show my wallpaper, but the banner of notification never appears. I have colleagues who have exactly the same problem. If it is not unique to my phone. I confirmed this option to occur in several other people in my office.

  Please tell me that this can be fixed somehow. This is a feature I must have. So and if well I would buy an Android, if this is the new normal in iOS10,

  integration of Inbox is a bit tricky, but not that complicated.
  You can copy most of the sample application.

  If you want this integration, that you will have to use it, otherwise just use the indicator icon.

  I keep ring/silent switch from my iPhone on silent all day, as I work in a space where the sound of notifications would be troublesome for others. However, this means that I miss all the phone calls I get, like the vibration is too low to attract my attention.

  Is it possible to silence all notifications except the ringing of the phone? The only way I can think to do is to manually disable sound notifications for each application. I hope that there is an easier way.

  No sorry... you should watch in turn on the led flash... This works when your phone is locked, and when you get a notification it flashes... settings - accessibility - led flash for alerts - suite.

  After having to make a stop hard when I rebooted, I had lost the banner who visited more, news, amazon, ebay, gmail. I can't understand how to get it back.   Hello Donna,.

  I think you meant bar bookmarks which is missing after you had to hard stop.
  If this is the case we can bring by right-clicking somewhere on the empty space next to an open tab, above the check (select) the bookmarks toolbar and address bar in the menu.
  Hope that brings back your banner.

  Whenever I scroll down to read a page on the Apple forums, a banner comes down from the top of the window. The banner has the question on what started the thread.

  I don't see any use it serves unless you have a VERY short attention span. It's boring and covers a text (reduces the size of the window), so it's worse then 'not useful' - it is harmful.

  Yes, I see the 'X' which I can click to close the banner - but is it possible that I can turn off this feature altogether?

• I can't get a banner to show, but the banner tabs still work

  My home page has a banner on the top, which includes tabs for support, webmail, contact us, etc. The banner area is empty, but because I know where are the tabs in the banner I can always use them. I had the same problem on my old XP laptop. I also have it from time to time on my Vista PC.

  Other symptoms of this problem are, Yahoo mail does not load, and I can't enter comments on Facebook (I can enter the comment, but it post when I hit will not.) I used to be able to exit Mozilla and restart the computer and it would be some time on the other laptop and PC, but now I can't stop it from happening every time on this one. I FF4, just d/l, I have authorized the pop ups, all to nothing does not.

  I have Norton 360 on all computers, as well as System Mechanic, but it happened when I used Kaspersky and another registry cleaner on the XP laptop only.

  Advertising banner when you open an e-mail message used to be too much on the right side of the screen. I was used to it. Now for some reason, that the banner is down and it drives me crazy. It's really embarrassing when I'm reading my mail. How can I change this back to the way it was?

  Firefox has no features of e-mail, it is perhaps because of the e-mail site you use is redrawn. Contact support for the email provider whether they can help you.

• No sound notification since the 2015 upgrade...

  I can choose the individual sounds to the e-mail and messages + but I never hear them when an email or text Message is received. I have not had any problems until an IOS 8 update. I hate that, especially since I paid for one of these sounds. Any suggestions?

  I assume you have checked to see if you have muted notifications: on the iPad side switch - Apple Support ?

  And, if you have no notifications on mute, I tried the standard troubleshooting for example switch mute on / off, soft-reset/reboot your iPad?

  Lol apparently Skype doesn't automatically follow default windows sound output after that I changed it once. Had to change speakers return to Spdif speakers in audio settings. Thanks for the tip.

• NB200 - Notifications in the system tray area

  Every few seconds I get an annoying popup notification in the system tray area that informs me of the 'blocked events' these are events all IPv4 TCP or UDP. I really want to turn off these notifications, but despite a vast internet searching I can't find out how to do this. I tried the Action Center and tried the obvious firewall settings, but nothing will stop them. I find them very boring.

  I have a 12W NB200 running Windows 7 Home Prmium (a recent update from Windows 7 Starter Edition). -the problem occurs in both versions. Initially, I used installed but uninstalled McAfee security suite and am using 2009 F-secure Internet security suite for which I have a valid license.
  The system is connected wireless to my BT Home hub router and is connected through the homegroup for two PC. The other two computers are connected through ethernet cables to the router and both run on Windows 7 Home Premium with Avira internet security. I don't get the pop-ups on these machines.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated

  Which program generates alerts - are you sure its f-secure or would it be the widows firewall or mcafee? I don't know anything about f-secure (other than I couldn't find a manual 2009 on their website), but I would say that it will keep a diary of events and when you get close to the 'variant' that appears (and I expect clears) you will also find an option on the display of the event.

  Re my comment about this program is-are you happy that you have removed any trace of mcafee? Have you run msconfig and looked at the services and startup for any trace tabs? Also look in the Manager of tasks for all traces: in the services tab, click description to sort and search for mcafee from the similar description in the process but I think that you would have never had 1 entry of mcafee.

  I think that this should have been the first para. Have you created/modified the firewall rules? The log file must provide the ip address of the event source and which is in the range of ip addresses of your network domestic? and since you are a bt customer internet you have a bt vision pvr and who is the source?
