Hello world

I'm new to JavaFX 2 and I started to try the tutorial example. If I run it, I get a NullPointerException.
Can someone explain what I'm missing? I copied the code is thus made no changes. Thank you in advance for your help!

So this means JavaFX is made only for Netbeans and does not run in other IDEs?

No, the other IDEs can build and run JavaFX applications.
For Oracle JavaFX samples, it is just easier to use NetBeans because they have already defined NetBeans projects.

I created a project idea which includes the NetBeans project, added sources has the JavaFX runtime library for the project Idea (C:\Program Files\Oracle\JavaFX 2.1 Runtime\lib\jfxrt.jar), adjusted settings-online settings idea | Compiler | Patrons of resources to add;? *.fxml, you press Run and, even once, the sample ran without problem.

Idea is a bit limited by default when copying of resources, for example, you must add explicit reasons to copy things like css and javascript output directories for files.

Without the model copy of resource fxml when developing applications based in the idea fxml, JavaFX 2.1 will not be able to find the fxml file because it is not copied during the compilation of the project output directory and JavaFX 2.1 raise an error when it runs:
java.lang.IllegalStateException: location is not defined
The error message can be a bit nicer and mention the path that cannot be found, but it makes sense.

    Hi, just trying to get an idea how to use the NavigationPane in my application.

    I'm trying to follow this example: https://developer.blackberry.com/cascades/reference/bb__cascades__navigationpane.html
    This is how my class looks like where I want to add a NavigationPane:

    import bb.cascades 1.0

    NavigationPane {
        id: navigationPane

    Page {

        // Root Container
        Container {

           ...

               CustomButton {
                      text: "Click me"
                      btnBackground: "asset:///btn-lightblue.png"

                      bottomPadding: 12.0
                      topPadding: 12.0

                     // This is where I want the second Page to show up
                     onTouch: {
                           var page = pageDefinition.createObject();
                           navigationPane.push(page);

                     }

                      attachedObjects: ComponentDefinition { // where should this go?
                                                   id: pageDefinition;
                                                   source: "SecondDialog.qml"
                      }

              }

    } // Navigation Pane

    But when the user clicks on the button "Click me" the SecondDialog.qml does not appear... Can someone point out what I'm doing wrong...? Thank you.

    OK, it is resolved, the problem is in the second page I add me to the navigation pane, missed me an "import bb.cascades 1.0" - it

  • Can what settings I give to run the sdk sample vmclone.cs?

    Hi all

    I downloaded the Web Services SDK and I ran successfully the demo sample simpleclient.cs to connect to my server ESXi and display all objects there. I am now trying to run the example VMClone.cs, but I don't see what are the parameters that I need to provide to get its operation?

    Besides, is there a document to tell me what settings ALL samples need in order to run successfully?

    Thank you very much for your time.

    John

    John,

    First of all, I would like to point out that the Clone is feature possible with vCenter only and not directly on ESX. Therefore, you would need a vCenter to perform the clone VM operations. To see the list of managed objects that are supported and defined on ESX and vCenter, please see vSphere Appendix section of the Admin guide.

    Now, on the way to pass parameters when you use the shipped samples, basically these uses of samples of the apputil library, which has a different way of accepting and passing arguments. To run this example, the command would be:

    -url https:///sdk - - username password - DatacenterName - vmPath - CloneName

    The same was mentioned explicitly in the corresponding sample of VMClone.java.

    I would like to know if this does not help!

  • Cannot rename the samples to the examples in blazeds turnkey

    Installed the turnkey and tested BlazeDS samples. Worked well. Then I renamed the Web application "examples". Nothing works. So I made a double called 'samples' and then BOTH were working. Why? I'm trying to set up my own webapp for RemoteObject invocation. It only works when the Web application 'samples' is deployed. If I move it off webapps no remoteobjects no longer works. I searched for what is before the turnkey installation to require the Web application 'samples', but can't find it. Anyone know?

    BTW, the registered sample dynamically works without the webapp "samples."

    Thanks in advance!

    Yes. You are right. I forgot about it. To run the examples in a different webapp, you must compile the file swf is to use a different root context.

  • Issue by running the JavaFX application in web browser

    Our team was currently developing a desktop application that must now be executed in a web browser. Deployment was successful, but everything running in IE 8, the background color of the IE outside the scene (from the desktop application) comes from gray color. Background color of our app is white, that is why, this gives him a strange look. The strangest thing is when we run the url in IE8, the first page (login page) comes without the gray part, IE the entire window is white color. But after logging out, (the login page must be made visible) only the stage size is available in white and the rest of the window comes in the color of gray background. Please help solve this.

    to answer your questions:

    How to set the browser size according to the size of the stage

    To resize the area at the request of a page web you can access the web page from within your app, and use javascript to get an application descriptor in the web page DOM and then set size to what you need.

    See
    http://docs.Oracle.com/JavaFX/2.0/deployment/javafx_javascript.htm#BCEIAGHE
    and
    http://docs.Oracle.com/JavaFX/2.0/deployment/javafx_javascript.htm#BCEIBFGD

    How to get the handle of the size of the browser here?

    For embedded application, you will get initial stage in the start() to the browser size allocated area.
    And you can trick, I've referenced before resizing app if browser will change areas were awarded (due to the demands of the users).

    However, I think that your question is different:

    that, in the login page, the stage size is smaller than the size of the browser that we put everything in packaging

    This means your app pop scene connection to first create and then fill the main stage?

    Good app behavior is like:

    If (runningEmbedded) {//see Tip 2.3.1 in the same guide
    fill in light of the scene with something - background for example even as a web page or an image
    }

    popLoginPage();

    Once the user fill out the main stage
    populateMainStage();

    And create all the assets for all stages of the init(). If at first you will only adding panels to the stages and creating new stages.
    You may need to clear the "dummy" of the main stage before you fill out.

    I hope this helps. If this isn't the case, please specify you app done in more details. What do you with step in the menu start, so how create you login and other stages.
    What you the size of your application and what are the stage dimensions.

  • Need help that implements the service class (JavaFX competition)

    I hope I'm not double posting, if so? My apologies...

    I create a small application in which you can run several algorithms that can be run and analyzed visually. So far, it runs great with errors now (as far as the GUI goes). When I run problems, this is after I implemented my bottom Threading code that the GUI will no longer appear. I followed the instructions until the 't' and although I have not compile errors (build Succeeded) I get without user interface.

    This is how I implemented it:

     private Service<Void> backgroundThread;

        private Stage stage;

        @Override
        public void initialize(URL url, ResourceBundle rb) {
            // TODO
        }

        public void init(Stage stage) {
            this.stage = stage;
        }

        @FXML
        public void browseInputFile(ActionEvent event){
           FileChooser fileChooser = new FileChooser();
           fileChooser.setTitle("Open text file");
           fileChooser.setInitialDirectory(new File(System.getProperty("user.home")));
           fileChooser.getExtensionFilters().addAll(
                   new FileChooser.ExtensionFilter("Text Files", "*.txt"),
                   new FileChooser.ExtensionFilter("All Files", "*.*")
           );

            File file = fileChooser.showOpenDialog(stage);

            if(file != null){
                TInputField.setText("Choosen File: " + file);
               // TerminalOut.setText(readFile(file));
            }

        }
        @FXML

                   System.out.println("Done! ");
                   TerminalOut.textProperty().unbind();
                   }
           });

           TerminalOut.textProperty().bind(backgroundThread.messageProperty());

           backgroundThread.restart();

        }

    And even if no compilation error I get nothing. Recently, I was able to look at the example for class of service on the web site of Oracle and it is very different and a bit more confusing, that I have already but I have does not work. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

  • How to build and run the sample extensions?

    I have a good time trying to get the sample to run, extensions

    Adobe-CEP/CEP-Resources · GitHub or also in the SDK of 2014 Adobe Illustrator CC for the Plugins that have a graphical interface.

    So far I've failed.

    Windows 7 x 64 system. Illustrator CC

    First test:

    Assemble one of the samples using the Adobe package manager. Added the file of "CEP_HTML_Test_Extension" or well the 'TutorialUI' of the SDK samples.

    and then install the zxp file obtained by using the "extensions Manager". No error reported. Extension handlers lists the Extension as being active for AI CC. Illustrator began.

    But I don't see anything in illustrator. There's no "Extensions" entry in the menu of Windows of Illustrator.

    The PlugIn tutorial menus are displayed, but the sample dialog box does not appear. In the debugger, I noticed that the call to pFnLoadExtension fails.

    Second test:

    After the pdf file "USING the kit SDK ADOBE EXTENSION" (http://wwwimages.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/creativesuite/pdfs/CC14_Extension_S DK.pdf)

    Package as before

    PlayerDebugMode enabled in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\CSXS.5

    copied the zxp file in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions

    Same result. I don't need an extension.

    I had no problem, build and run the sample Plugins well.

    What I am doing wrong?

    How can I build and run a simple example of extension?

    Any help appreciated.

    The problem related to how the samples were copied in the extensions directory. When you .zxp files you need to extract the content and place them in the extensions directory.

    For example this:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\

    TutorialUI.zxp

    UIShowcase_sample.zxp

    But this:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\

    TutorialUI\

    UIShowcase_sample\

    You can install the .zxp by the Manager of extensions or, for development purposes, rename the .zip file type.

    CFGFWK-60839: database load failed!

    Please help me if you find any problem with the steps I took to create my weblogic_portal_domain.

    I followed the steps mentioned in the: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15919_01/wlp.1032/e14252.pdf to create my domain name to start the development of portal.

    Those are the WLP 10.3.2 instructions. But the 10.3.4 instructions in the tutorial (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E26806_01/wlp.1034/e14252/setup_dev_env.htm#i1014619) are bad, too.

    In 10.3.4 with derby, Run the Scripts doesn't work; He still needs to work the other database (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.). Instead, for the derby, just create the field, accepting any dialog boxes warning on databases that arise. After that finish in the field directory, run create_db.cmd (for Windows) or create_db.sh (on * nix and Mac). It should create the derby database files in the field and includes everything you need.

    I'll send a note to get the updated documentation.

  • Stupid question for the example of ColorfulCircles work

    I don't know that I missed something stupid, but hell if I can find it. I'm trying to learn a bit about the use of JavaFX 2.0, because I intend to use it heavily in a project in the coming months. I develop in Eclipse, and when I try the example of ColorfulCircles on the Oracle website, I get an error, the statement that Stage.setVisable is not defined. I added the external jfxrt.jar, and all other lines of code using classes and methods of JavaFX 2.0 compiles correctly. He suggested that even other methods of scene I could try (even if they are not good suggestions). Am I missing something obvious, or is the outdated tutorial example? Thank you!

  • In the example LabVIEW Full featured, which makes the entry point button reappear?

    My question is this: what piece of LV code or invoke the node for the TS engine makes the entry Point button reappear when loading a file of sequence?

    Background:

    I inherited a modified version of Full Featured LabVIEW UI, which has been moderately modified (enough so this restart is not really an option, but it is still quite similar to use as comparisons for behaviors).  In addition, this code was started in LV2012/TS2012 and I'm migrating to LV2013/TS2013, but this behavior is consistent in both versions.

    Here is what I tried:
    I have found that when the command connect runs (see attachment), the button which is a TSUI. IButton control, SEAO is grayed out or hidden.  In the unmodified example user interface provided with TestStand, button is again displayed when loading a file of sequence.  The problem is that when I load a movie file in my code and click it before the race, the button does not reappear. In my code, I can run the sequence successfully by right click on the movie file and selecting run, so I don't think the sequence has an error, or the process model.

    Thanks in advance,

    Seth

    Seth,

    The entry 'options' of the ConnectCommand function controls this. On help page for this entry, you can see that there are options for "ignore enable" and "ignore visible." Or any of them may affect the functionality of the key entry point. You could try to make the options for both keys 0 and see if that fixes the problem. If this isn't the case, please let us know.

  • How to generate a working executable from the example of writer DataSocket VI file

    I am trying to build an executable file of the example "DS Writer.vi".  The first problem was that the "Control.vi of DataSocket Server" was not distributed with my script compile/install.  I fixed it (thanks Dennis) but now I get the following error message.

    LabVIEW: (Hex 0 x 626) cannot open a VI with compiled code separate in a Run Time Engine that does not have access to the VIObjCache.

    There is a solution to this (http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Getting-LabVIEW-load-error-code-59-using-LabVIEW-2010-with-a-Run/td-...), but it involves change a property of a VI library of DataSocket (if I understand though).  I'm reluctant to make a change to a library OR standard, because it could cause maintenance problems in the future (other developers not having the same change, or updated versions of LabVIEW).

    Has anyone successfully built an executable using DataSocket?  If so, can you offer any advice?  I'm using LabVIEW 2011.

    Thank you, Mark

    Thanks Nathan.  I was able to create and deploy an executable with DataSocket.  The last obstacle was to "uncheck the option"Code is compiled separately from the source file"in the properties of the VI" for the "DataSocket Server Control.vi.  The only problem with this solution is that I now have a custom DataSocket library.  I think that a solution would be to copy as VI or library in my project folder so that the solution is transferable to others in the future.  I would like to hear how other developers LabVIEW with custom libraries, either by strictly avoid that, keeping their own copies, or another solution.  But this is probably a topic for a new thread.

  • I can't launch the stepper motor using NI 9501 with the example given.

    I have a NOR cRIO-9025. I'm trying to run a motor drive with NI 9501 with the help of the given example (Veloity control (open loop) - NI 9501). The program is compiled on the FPGA, but the motor step does not move. The poster drive status always "disabled by software. What I am doing wrong? I'm under the RT and FPGA live

    Hi Pranjal,

    You will need to provide an external power supply to the module. If you look at the Manual 9501, you will see that the pins 7 and 8 are intended to power 8 - 30V. If you do not connect this offer, you will have a fault and the Red led should light up. The manual shows you different ways to connect your motor.

    When you run the VI, you will want to run only the RT VI. The FPGA VI will run automatically when you start the RT VI.

    You are right that there is no file "Items to Move. Instead, you want to spend the following things to your new target: speed control (open loop) - .vi NI 9501 (RT), speed control (open loop) - .vi OR 9501 (FPGA) and the target value. You want to make sure that you drag to the appropriate hierarchy. The RT VI must be less than the RT controller in the project and the FPGA VI and set FIFO must be below the target FPGA. Finally, you want to make sure that Mod1 is a 9501.

    I would like to know if any of this helps.

    Thank you

  • You try to run the scan mode and mode interface fpga at the same time is causing errors

    I'm reading a 9236 9237 and a 9215 with the scanning engine and read from two 9211 modules with the fpga. It's because I need to acquire to 200 Hz with the 9236 9237 9215 but maximum rate of the scan engine is limited by the slower module in the system, which in this case is the max of 15 hz the 9211.

    So to use both interfaces (scan engine and fpga), I followed the percisely given in this article for instructions.

    1. the project has created and added the peripheral crio using the interface of the scan engine.

    2. Add the target fpga and drag and drop the 9211 inside modules

    3. has created the fpga in interface file with and compiled with no error.

    4. interfaced with the file fpga at almost exactly the way the sample project of "getting started with 9211' by using the engine of analysis in the interface with the other modules.

    5. after the errors to discover that I created a VI that tests for just the portion 9211 code (called "thermocouple FPGA method Test.vi")

    The data returned by the interface fpga was nothing else than zeros on all channels, even if thermocouples were hooked on some of them. (all zeros as entries in the convert temperature vi gives-410, 6160 degrees F, if you happen to have the material to try this.)

    I get the following error from the open fpga vi reference:

    code error-61141
    "Thermocouple method Test.vi FPGA.
    Activities FPGA:

    Open FPGA interface reference.
    Reserved outside LabVIEW FPGA: turns The RIO Scan Interface. You must set the mode Interface FPGA chassis in order to unlock the FPGA. »

    It's extremely frustrating, because as I explained, I've been very attentive not only follow the instructions for concurrent fpga and analysis but also to model my VI by the example of VI, even if only for the moment, just to try to work things out.

    Any help would be appreciated as I need to fix this for the further development and I am somehow in a lack of time. I opened a support ticket (reference #7256226), but the app engineer had no time to answer.

    This should not be the case.  9211 data will not update with each sweep, but you should be able to run the scan faster than 15 Hz without problem.  Do you have specific issues with this?

    So to use both interfaces (scan engine and fpga), I followed the percisely given in this article for instructions.

    You can try making sure that the chassis is set to mode Interface FPGA and the setting is deployed.  I wrote that article that you referenced says will select the deploy option later and not explicitly speak to deploy the chassis later.  Run a VI with a reference open FPGA vi not automatically deploy chassis settings if you need to do it explicitly.  Try the following steps.

    1. right click on the frame element and select Properties.  Make sure that the Interface FPGA option button is selected. \

    2. right click on the frame element and select deploy.

    3. repeat your VI.

    The data returned by the interface fpga was nothing else than zeros on all channels, even if thermocouples were hooked on some of them. (all zeros as entries in the convert temperature vi gives-410, 6160 degrees F, if you happen to have the material to try this.)

    Activities FPGA:

    Open FPGA interface reference.
    Reserved for LabVIEW FPGA outside: The RIO Scan Interface is running. You must set the mode Interface FPGA chassis in order to unlock the FPGA. »

    The likely cause of this error is that the setting of the FPGA Interface on the chassis has not been deployed.  If the chassis is still Mode Scan fixed personality bitfile will be loaded on startup and the FPGA will be locked.

    It's extremely frustrating, because as I explained, I've been very attentive not only follow the instructions for concurrent fpga and analysis but also to model my VI by the example of VI, even if only for the moment, just to try to work things out.

    I'm sorry that you have had difficulties.  Assuming that I'm wrong about the source of your problem, it seems we have to update less than Ko to include the deployment step.
