  Oracle 11g r2, APEX 4.1.1.00.23.
  
  In our (classic) reports, we need display numbers using the following format: FM999G999G990D
  The number of decimal places will depend on the preference of the user (from 1 to 8).
  
  So currently I use a function to format a number:
  

  function format_number_to_x_decimals(p_number in number, p_nb_decimals in integer) return varchar2 is
  begin
       return to_char(p_number,'FM999G999G990D'||lpad('0',p_nb_decimals,'0'));
  end;

  The problem is that it returns a varchar2, so when we use the option of sort for a column, the numbers are not classified correctly... (ie: 1000 appearing 999).
  
  -Can I use the format FM999G999G990D000 in the number / Date Format in the report column attributes, but I have no control over the number of decimal places more...
  
  -Can I use a hidden column to calculate this number format and then use the Expression HTML #MY_HIDDEN_COLUMN # in the attribute of column formatting of the report. It works but we have a lot of number of columns in our reports, it's a pain to set up all the... In France, we call this "craft"!

  Yes, I :)

  Simply create an apex hidden element (say PX_FORMAT) with the FM999G999G990D0 source and use the point as a mask of column format report & PX_FORMAT.

  When the page is rendered apex translates the format mask to its source value i.e. FM999G999G990D0

  So now that the mask of format in the report is dynamic, you just need to put the value elements (PX_FORMAT) and run the report.

  This report is accessible by people in the United States, the United Kingdom and IND
  
  We have a static conversion rate, so I change my queries to the multiple based on the selection list parameter (P37_CURRENCY).

• Format mask number in the XML editor reports

  I have a requirement in the format mask in xml publisher reports.

  I have a field in my report that the quantity,

  1 > if the value is 1234 I need to show as 1 234

  2 > if the value 1234.56 I need to show 1,234.56

  so I tried with properties of form with number format mask ' #, # 0.00' decimal so that's good, but for like number for 1234 also he 1,234.00 impression so I need 1 234, how I can do this, please help me.

  The version of the APEX, we're currently on is 4.1.1.00.23. I'm trying to get a progress bar to display in a report. I use the PCT_GRAPH:330099:CC0000:100 in the number/date of the bar column format. It does not work. I will attach what it looks like. Is there anything else I need to do?

  Set the column attribute display as Standard report column and not display text (escape special characters, does not save the State).

• How to move from a date format in the report for custom funtions

  I have a funtion customized with 2parameters with dates and it returns a number. I used this function in sql query and return data in the sqldeveloper tool, when I use the same query in report rdf, that it is not all the data is. Please suggest me how it works.

  You must convert the standard date FND that is in canonical format to a regular date using FND_DATE format. CANONICAL_TO_DATE, this conversion must arrive on the date which is accepted as the value of parameter in your SQL report or where ever it is used in the report. I often use in my PL/SQL base concurrent programs and I think that's true in RDF as well.

• Bad SD card format has been reported on Satellite P200 - Vista 32 bit

  The player card on my laptop seems to have stopped working. I checked the Device Manager and there is no warning in there. I reinstalled the Flashmedia driver just to be sure and rebooted but still no joy.

  The map seems to be recognized to some extent as Windows Explorer shows 'SD Card (f)', but in the management of the computer-> Storage-> disk management F: appears as 23,78 GB of unallocated space... which is rather strange, because it's a 1 GB SD card.

  The only major updates (other than Windows Update), I've done since Christmas (when I finally remember how the map works) was to install the update of the BIOS 2.50 a.,

  Anyone know of any issued with this BIOS version and card readers?

  The SD card has been recognized in windows (My Computer) and seems to work correctly. The size of the SD card seems to be reported wrong

  I recommend to format the SD card using the Toshiba tool (if pre-installed) and then you can check the size of SD card in the SD card properties.

  Me and my colleagues have a problem in reporting .tdr tiara.

  Our script does the sequence of operations:

  File loading 1)

  2 channel operations)

  (3) file save (TDM)

  Report 4) save (TDR)

  The problem is: after the calculations, if I load the TDM and then TDR, very often the curves are in the wrong order.

  For example: in the report number one, I should have, for channel 10SILL * 00AC *, in the first acceleration in the second YAxis speed, in the third movement.

  Sometimes, I find in the first movement YAxis, in the second acceleration, and perhaps, in the third, I find the speed of another channel.

  I tried to use the two PicDefByIdent = 0 and PicDefByIdent = 1 to the number facing the mode name-oriented, but it does the same.

  Is there a way to force the tiara to always charge the same channel in the same curve?

  If you want to use references to string name in an existing report, you must change the reference string in the page layout.

  Report.Sheets ("Blatt 1"). Objects("2D-Axis1"). Curves2D.item (1). Shape.XChannel.Reference = "[1] / Zeit."

  "" You should find a string "[1] / [1]" and replace it with this shot "[1] / Zeit."

• Formatting of HTML reports

  I use LabVIEW to generate reports using HTML file. These reports contain plots, images, tables and text blocks. Ideally, I would like all in LabVIEW format so I can't do any post processing of the document. I would like to make some parts bold, underline and vary the size of the font. I can align parts such as headers at the top of the page and footers, but it's her. I would like to have more control on alignment of words, titles, images and paragraphs in the report. However, I was not able to understand this. I feel that I need 'Add user in HTML format in Report VI', but I was not able to use this good apparently.

  I have a digital channel that has a decimal value with accuracy up to 16-digit figures. I want to convert this string to a numeric value, and I used a "Fract/Exp number necklace. In my VI I hae set:

  Data type: EXT (because it allows number of decimal digits of 15 to 20)
  Data format: covered Point
  Numbers: 16
  Precision Type: Digits of precision

  Here's my question: If the input string is composed of digits of precision = 15 Eg: 5.369607712106161
  Then I output = 5.3696077121061609, which is the same, but not the same number I sent.
  or 1.145152879691825 String gives me the number = 1.1451528796918251
  String 5.818356760119754 gives me the number = 5.8183567601197543

  Please suggest how I can make more specific output.

  Wire a constant to the default value with the entry of your string to the function of numbers and define the type of POSITION, it is default DBL (note the red dot on your meter).

  Not exactly why you're doing the report this way. If the user must select, basically, a period of dates, would not easier to have a column of data with a between the operator and the user would select 2 dates (upper and lower intervals)?

  In any case, it is possible to achieve what you want to do as a result of your approach. You could use when's CASE and have a more complex filter, but I think that it is better to have a few nested filters where you use the range operator to determine what date filter that you use (see image below)

  

  Some notes about my filter. First of all, I am making the assumption that the operator is "=", then the number of days specified must be ignored and you just return the data for the selected date. You will notice also that in my filters, I got a cast so far, but if you are using a column that is already a timestamp so it won't be necessary.

  This should achieve what you want.

  The developed application is a financial one. As a result, most of the reports is formatted to display values in currency...   Users also download some of the reports, and they ask that when the report is downloaded, the currency formatting is removed so they do not have to remove it manually in Excel.

  for example, in the reports is $35 678.00

  and when exporting, they just want to be 35678.00.

  unless Ive missed something, I don't see a simple way to do this? My thoughts now would be to substitute somehow the column formatting currency, for a column not formatted
