NVIDIA Quadro K5200 not recognized!

Probably a stupid question, but: I just moved from a position with a Nvidia Quadro K5000 to one with a Nvidia Quadro K5200.  I brought over several open projects, and when I open one of them, I get the message "this project last used with Mercury Playback Engine acceleration GPU (CUDA), which is not available on this system."  Mercury Playback Engine Software only will be used. "And when I go to project > settings > general, which is actually my only choice.  This is also true if I start a new project.  Device Manager confirms that the system recognizes the K5200, and for the evaluation of the graphics capabilities of the computer, the score is through the roof.   I don't remember having to do something special to have Premiere Pro recognized the K5000 on the old machine, it seemed just to be done automatically without having to install drivers, etc..  Is there something else I'm supposed to do to make this work?

Running Premiere Pro CS6 with Windows 10.

Never mind.  Found the hack on adding to cuda_supported_cards.txt.  I guess CS6 is not updated more supported cards, should have known that.

  • I just bought the Nvidia Quadro K5200.  It comes as AE not supported inside.  This will impede the performance or not?

I guess because it is a new card that has not been tested, but it will not be considered as supported by the software.  My only question is will it impede performance, and if so how should I go that deals with the repair.

Could this be a problem with third-party plugins that use 3D Raytrace?

The ray-traced rendering engine is not relevant for third-party plugins. It is not something that they could never use. Engine render raytraced all makes AE was create a 3d geometry in the native space of AE. This has been replaced by the inclusion of Cinema 4 d Lite with your After Effects installation.

Mylenium says, there is no need for it unless you want to use old AE tool 3d creation. What version of AE are you using? If this is a recent version, there is a box to allow AE to use unsupported cards to speed up the ray-traced rendering engine. Again, it is the only feature that really used and that the function is considered to be dead. Here's what Adobe said on the use of the GPU EI: features GPU (CUDA, OpenGL) in After Effects

  • NVIDIA Quadro M2000M not compatible w After Effects?

I tried to get the best performance settings on my new laptop Lenovo P50 of workstation. Starting to wonder if this laptop is a little ahead of the curve.

I was surprised that preferences settings show the optional/premium video card offering in this incompatible machine. I updated the driver, but that's what it shows:

The other surprise is that the port of Thunderbolt3 is not in the drop-down list with the miniDP port, but rather through port USB Type C... which, at the moment there is practically no hard drives that I can connect to with Thunderbolt... and the USB Type C TB3 to TB adapters will be unavailable for at least a few weeks.

Any advice or info on the graphics card problem would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

In its State current AE does not use the GPU to speed up everything except the user interface. In many systems of things were better if you disable acceleration in preferences.

There are some plug-ins third parties who rely on the GPU to accelerate their effects, but the CUDA driver has absolutely no effect on these plug-ins. It has always been like that. NVIDIA has completely changed the direction they were going anyway so I wouldn't count on the further development exclusively made with CUDA acceleration.

If all goes well, in the AE very close future will make better use of the GPU, but for now don't worry about this.

  • Quadro k5200 vidoe noise in reading

Hey all, I am working in first CC 2014 (last update applied) on a Windows 7 Pro machine with a card Nvidia Quadro K5200 which seems to be to introduce very funny noise in my reading. This only happens when the GPU of Mercury Playback Engine acceleration is enabled. I have the latest driver Nvidia (347.88) and I tried to restore to the previous version. No luck. This noise is usually green or red, and formed in place of vertical lines. I've attached a screenshot of the right color bars play back so you can see what I mean. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • First Pro CS 5.5 does not NVIDIA Quadro 2000 d

I build a system with the following specifications:

    Intel Core i7

    PNY NVIDIA Quadro 2000 d

    Windows 7 Professional

    8 GB Ram

    128 SSD

    1 x 1 TB Raid

I bought a boxed version of Production Premium CS 5.5. As I see in the first configuration of a project, I have only MPE only the software and the optoin is disabled. However, as I see OpenGL in After effects is Quadro 2000 d and it works well. Anyone had similar experice? You are desperately looking for help.

In the first program on your system drive folder, run the executable labled:

    GPUSniffer.exe

If this does not make available mecury playback, install the latest NVidia drivers on their site and try again. If this does not work, make sure the name of your video card listed in the file cuda_supported_cards.txt of text in your first program folder. Quadro 2000 d was in mine.

Also, make sure that your card is recognized by your system as a 'Quadro 2000 D'

  • Workstation XW4300: xw4300 will not work with the recommended graphics card (Nvidia Quadro FX 3400)

I installed a graphics card hoping to update my computer.  The Nvidia Quadro FX 3400 was the highest assigned

graphics card recommended for the workstation xw4300 system HP specifications page.  My system

has a 460W power supply and I connected the cable 6-pin on the map and the map pins in the PCIe x 16 slot where

    the old card was.

When I turned on the machine, I don't have even get a bios message or welcome screen.  All black.  But on all 10

seconds, the power would cycle off and then come back.  HP says that this map is supposed to work with my machine!

This card appears, making it non-functional.

    Any ideas?

I ended up going with the Nvidia Quadro FX 1400 card.  He is listed as 75W and the map of 'medium' recommended for this xw4300 system.  I paid 10 dollars for it on eBay and it works great.  Do not use the Quadro FX 3400 map even if it is recommended by HP for this machine.  Food can't support.

A witch hunt.  Equipment old and new software don't always play nice.  My machine has a new installation of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on it, and running Windows Experience Index gives me the blue screen of death.  I put a meter on the power during the test problems... No..  It's a kind of driver incompatibility.  Win 7 says that the driver is the last, but he chokes on the

test the index.  Funny irony is that I ran other tests which include benchmarking 3D rendering and nothing, but the Microsoft Windows Experience Index test stifles this card.  How about you do not run the Microsoft test to improve my Windows experience.  :/  Go figure.

This card is older hardware, and because of that I don't have hope than Nvidia or Microsoft to make Windows experience test runs correctly with win7 64 OS.  Sounds like HP.

Here's the kudo: the guy on eBay who I bought the card quickly refunded my money when he learned about the Blue error screen of death in Windows performance index test, so I did a free card.  I'll send her money

Back to him.  I've never met anyone so accommodating.  These companies could take a lesson from that on what customer service means.  That's how you get regular customers.

because there are two gpu in your system, when you are not using anything intensive GPU that it switches to gpu intel HD and if you do 3D, games, or anything that requires the most powerful GPU, then your GPU Nvidia comes into play.

You can switch to the discrete gpu under the menu of the bios (under the screen).

    Hello

I think your feeling that the nVidia Optimus technology prevents you installing these drivers is correct. If you try the following, this should solve the problems that you are experiencing:

    (1) install the drivers for the chipset from here: www.dell.com/.../precision-m4600

    (2) install video drivers Intel GMA HD from one of these links, depending on whether you have Windows 7 32-bit version or the 64 bit version of Windows 7:

PP CS6 Mercury Playback engine supports the Nvidia GTX 660 Ti card. I just installed the card and it is not recognized in a new project.

    Any help or suggestion?

In Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS6

    Notepad as administrator, open cuda_supported_cards.txt

Add a line with "GeForce GTX 660 Ti" without the quotes, save the file and restart PR you can now enable CUDA acceleration in the project settings.

    Hello world

Six months after the last, I tried the CS6 body work, when it crashed constantly and I decided to uninstall, I tested again yesterday to see if anything has changed when you use the 6.0.3 premiere version, but nothing is.

Meanwhile I work perfectly with PPro CS5, proving that the combination of nVidia, Matrox and first is basically good.

Matrox has even released drivers especially for CS6, and I also updated to the latest nVidia drivers. Unfortunately it seems fairly certain that the nVidia in this system component yet proximate cause crashes when I active the body CS6 MPE.

The error remains the same, like six months ago:

The NVIDIA OpenGL driver detected a problem with the display driver and can not continue.

The application must close. Error code: 3

I noticed that nVidia does still no partner certified drivers for CS6, I think it's completely lame. I guess I have right now the most important question is:

Someone at - it system with Premiere Pro CS6, graphics nVidia Quadro and a Matrox MX02 who managed to make it work? And if so, what kind of drivers were installed for the nVidia card?

I use a system Intel 12 processor cores, 24 GB of RAM-based and as said, a Quadro 4000 2 GB card on board.

I want very ardently to CS6 before 7 fate. Any help is appreciated, a response to the above question would be wonderful superduper.
