NVIDIA Quadro 2000: DisplayPort does not

Hello

I've got a S30 new with a card Nvidia Quadro 2000 (latest Nvidia drivers installed). Output display (LT2452p) through the DVI port is ok, but the screen remains blank when connected through the outputs DisplayPort. Since I want to 2 monitors, I need to use the DisplayPort connectors...

Any clue on how I could check if the graphics card itself is faulty?

Thanks in advance!

-Pierre

Hello

Thanks for the tip! I had tried so many things (a partisan Lenovo came to us as well) I don't remember all. ;-) In any case, it worked all of a sudden. I don't know why...

  • EliteBook 8460p: DisplayPort does not connect

I connected my new HD monitor via the VGA input with no problems.  When I connect the laptop to the monitor using a DisplayPort adapter to DisplayPort cable and the monitor DisplayPort mode no connection is established.  My graphics cards are DameWare Development mirror driver 64 bit and Radeon HD 6470 M.  The monitor is an ASUS VE278Q. Is there a setting on the laptop that I need to activate the DisplayPort?  I guess that the cable connection should be sufficient for the monitor to the laptop.  Any help is very appreciated!

    Hello pmoo,.

I have also an Elitebook 8460p (AMD Radeon HD 6470 M GPU) running Windows 7 (Enterprise), with an external HP 2511 x, LCD and * only * crossed a sceanrio simliar you did: I had problems to get a picture on my monitor when connected with a HDMI cable.

To clarify, I actually use a docking advanced (230W) which has connections 2DVI & 2DisplayPort at the rear; I use one of these DisplayPort connections with a DisplayPort-> HDMI dongle to connect my HDMI cable to the monitor. If you connect directly to DP your laptop, this behavior * should * be the same...

First of all, let me start by how I 'fixed' my question (your mileage may vary):

    1. I still think that it was a timing issue with me: the monitor and the laptop should be ISOLATED. Connect the cables; Turn on the laptop first, but make sure that the lid is CLOSED. THEN turn the monitor on.
    2. Have the most recent drivers can't hurt; Make sure that you install them before connecting the external monitor.
    3. CABLES CABLES CABLES!   Always check the wiring and try another HDMI cable if you have one.
    4. Make sure the connections themselve are nice and safe: in my case, the HDMI connection on the monitor was a bit sloppy (brand new monitor).
    5. And just stick to it... (im also confused as to why it took so long... > I spent 4 or 5 hours until what it worked..).

Now, let me detail that I got here:

My connections: I had my system & monitor off, and after removing my my docking station DVI connector and the monitor, I plugged my DisplayPort dongle to my dockign and plugged the dongle to the monitor using a HDMI cable. I fed my monitor & notebook (with cover open notebook in case I had to update the drivers, activate something, etc.).

Tried to activate the mointor: I right click on the desktop to open the control/display panel / 'Screen Resolution' UI and interpreted by "detect": nothing: he showed the "integrated monitor' for the laptop and a generic monitor, but I don't see my monitor HP 2511. I have done several times, and finally, after some trial and error the right monitor #2 (HP 2511) appeared as a second monitor.

I tried to "Extend desktop" for two monitors; but this only * partially * worked; I could see that the mointor received a signal because she was out of 'sleep' (the power light went from orange to blue (active))... but there is no image on the monitor (!)

I've then updated the software and drivers for my laptop for the latest news from hp.com for laptop (3.20 - 130911 A - 164036 C (20 December 2013):)

Note: "solves a problem where the system does not detect external displays properly when the system is connected to a docking station with 2 attached external displays and the lid is closed the system."

Well, I said: nothing to see new drivers... so I installed them.

However, even after installing the drivers, no. picture on the screen... I saw that it was getting a signal (did not sleep), but does not display anything.

NOTE: I did this with my laptop open cover...

I have so I checked the wiring; Brand new DisplayPort HDMI cable...... quite new dongle so I reversed the HDMI cable, tried another cable...

    Yet, nothing...

    Finally:

    • Back to the 'screen resolution' UI, this time I made sure that the Office was NOT extended to the #2 monitor (external monitor).
    • I have powered off the COAST of the external Mointor (I could here the PnP event for the monitor).
    • I have closed the lid of the laptop.
    • Double check all connections again (and again! they are capricious!).
    • I then On the external Monitor; I heard the PnP event for the monitor... and... PHOTO!  The external mointor now had an image.

I hope this helps... it of just me and not of HP.

  • HELP: NVidia GeForce GT750M Y500 does not.

    So here's the situation:

I got my Lenovo Ideapad Y500 two days before and as usual I have update the OS with a new installation of Windows 8 because I don't like the bloatware that would come with a laptop. anyway. I went through the normal procedure of installing a new windows, and then when it came to choose which partition to install on, this game me several options which I was confused about. So I deleted all existing partitions and installed Windows 8 on a new vacuum.

Long story short, I deleted the recovery partition and now my One - Key no longer works, but honestly, this isn't a big problem for me.

However what is a big deal, it's that my GT750M graphics card is no longer a professional activity or at least be recognized. In "Device Manager" and under "graphics card", I have "microsoft basic display adapter. I look around the nVidia driver install site Lenovo site a fix to nothing does not. The graphics card is perhaps too recent . NVidia Driver Lenovo keeps giving me an error when I try to install it (it says that the file is corrupted... actually a little driver downloads are appearing as corrupt for me too).

Any WHO... I mean does anyone know a solution? Here, I have this laptop great which is perfect for intense games/edition/other stuff that I do, but I can't because the graphics card is not recognnized.

That or I LOVE IT would be if someone could send me a copy of their on their Y500 Lenovo recovery partition. I called Lenovo and they say I have to send my laptop in order to allow them to 'fix' it and refused to send me a physical copy of the recovery disc. What I really need is a graphics card driver!

Also my brightnessa setting does not work, but I guess that its connected to do not have the driver.

    Thank you very much!

  • Update NVIDIA problems: exit HDMI does not.

    Hello

So I've updated NVIDIA GeForce 8200 m G yesterday to the new version (285.62). I had the 186.68 version ou.85, I don't remember. When I tried to connect my LCD HD TV to my laptop, it has not worked, everything was the same. So I tried to go to control panel > Mobile PC > to connect to a projector... > Connect monitor and changed the setting so that the display show only on the TV. When I click 'OK' my computer screem black but I could still see the light from the screen, and nothing happens. No video, no sound. My computer buttoned up like that and then I had to restart.

So, I'm looking to see what was wrong and found that a lot of people where having the same problems, but for a different computer. I see that some people just had the old version that they or an older version then v280 I come, I tried it and got v275.33 and still the same thing happens. The computer recognizes it, but nothing happens. Just black screen. I also tried restoring but I re-installed so it did not work.

I don't know how to get my old rear drive, if anyone can help me? Does anyone know how to fix this? Connect to my HP PC to my TV. I have the HDMI cable and it worked in the past, so I think it was the update.

    HP G60-121WM

    Windows Vista 32 bit

    NVIDIA GeForce 8200 M G 1407 MB

If somebody finds the problem, you can send me a link? I also tried to make the 'system restore', but I just continued to get a failure message. If you need more just informationg say.

    Thank you.

P.S. I also saw this chanded "NVIDIA audio HDMI" "NVIDIA HD Audio" but know that he just says "High definition Audio Device", which could take place? In addition, the site NVIDIA said that I need to uninstall my NVIDIA Windows display drivers. I did and when go out to uninstall. This is not, but I have v275.33 Verde drive that I received from NVIDIA Web. I did something wrong?

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_13955.html

Yes, I see and it always the accident when I use it.

However, I think I solved it. I just when the HP, shearch for my PC website and downloaded the reader but I had already that don't but did ' t work. I keept getting a message that I was not under windows vista. Then I opened the file from the disk I have download and when Windows 32 folder and it had a probram for installation.

I tried and the installer has just stood there, not doing nothing. I closed by using the the windows Task Manager ("ctrl" + "alt" + "del") and run the driver installation program again. Before I could click on the button continue, my screen will turn off and on to turrn. So I plugged the HDMI cable and when to the NVIDIA Control Panel and made my tv the 2nd screen but the sound does not work.

    Hi Vincent,.

Please answer the question to help me better understand the issue:

Have you checked the device helps with the other computer?

This problem may be due to the road device or another conflict/applications of devices. Run the hardware and devices Troubleshooter and check if it helps fix the problem.

Open the hardware and devices troubleshooter.

  • E6400 w/NVS160M Displayport does not?

As I listed a new E6400 with the updated display adapter NVS160M (Express). I also have the displayport to HDMI cable. When I use this cable, the laptop will not see the external display (TV). I tried the setting after setting, etc. Nothing will get the laptop to see that there is something in relation to the displayport connection. The screen does not detect the video card and it may even force to detect the screen.

Now... when I connect the TV via the VGA port, everything works fine. The laptop sees the TV and the video card recognizes the type of the TV model.

So... suggestions?  Am I a laptop connection wrong displayport on my new computer? Maybe a bad displayport to HDMI Cable? Or something else to try I do not, thanks. ((All connections have been checked and rechecked and are all secure and tight and the laptop has been restarted several times already))

When I plug in the white light that indicates that the load turns on, the computer itself just lights. If I unplugged the power led will Flash on flash fast when I press on it, but that's all. I tried to hard reset where you pick everything up and hold the power button but that did nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

So after keeping plugged in and it does not not not a full 24 hours he finally turned around. I guess it was just that the dead she had to stay connected much longer than normal.

Well, I managed to do work! Put it down to user error. I finally found a Guide of the user here (http://cdn.cnetcontent.com/a6/3a/a63a60d9-e04e-4eee-bba0-58e8fcd4371f.pdf) and realized I had been connecting my DP cable into the socket of DP output! (The DP entry had been occupied by a DP - CDM cable used by the MacBook Air my daughter!) Make the right connection and it works beautifully :-)
