  Like yours is a custom portal WC I would suggested using separate for ADF and SOA managed servers to balance the load and to separate the concerns...

  It is not supported because as SOA and forms & States share a common directory called oracle_common that would be

  crushed by the product. This is why we ask you to use two different homes of Middleware for installation and configuration.

  Ex: If you have installed SOA in a field and you have installed forms & reports and then the oracle_common could be crushed by

  Binary forms & reports and so there might be problem with SOA.

  Q2: how about you 2 different (one for SOA Suite) areas and the other for forms & reports on the same machine (Box) on the same installation of Weblogic?

  You can have 2 different domains but not in the same weblogic Installation according to the explanation above.

  We have a challenge to use the same infrastructure for Oracle SOA between two teams. Can we have two clusters of servers managed to WLS_SOA that everyone can use?
  
  In the production environment, we have two node environment, we have two groups A and B, which will use the soa infrastructure:
  • There will be clusters managed to group A: GROUPA_WLS_SOA1 & GROUPA_WLS_SOA2 servers WLS_SOA
  • There will be clusters managed to group b servers WLS_SOA: GROUPB_WLS_SOA1 & GROUPB_WLS_SOA2
  
  So essentially, we plan to have the following servers in our prod:
  • Server Admin
  • GROUPA_WLS_SOA1, GROUPA_WLS_SOA2
  • GROUPB_WLS_SOA1, GROUPB_WLS_SOA2
  • WLS_WMS1, WLS_WSM2
  • WLS_BAM1, WLS_BAM2

  1. very simple question. Can these 2 teams share the same process/task instances created by the other. Say if Team1 instantiates certain tasks and they are ongoing. Now team 2 see them say with only read permissions. I'm just guessing. If team 2 is as journalists or only some people who want to see the status of the tasks, but they cannot work or take action on the tasks. Where as Team1 is the core that have users who literally work on the task.

  (b) if not. Means that if team 1 should have different instances of wrt to 2 tasks team, default tasks, it is NOT possible. Remember one thing, any SOA/BPM field have a RCU patterns (SOAINFRA, ORAMDS) backend that stores all process information. NOW it's at the domain level and not at the Cluster level. Means that the two groups will be connect to even a single instance of tables soa_infra. This means that all processes and tasks are the same in all clusters. Say if there is a user who is in both team1, team2, then when he connects, he will eventually see all the tasks of the two teams.

  I hope you got the point. Back-end database that stores all the tasks, the process is at the domain level and is NOT configurable for each individual cluster or soa_server or different.

  If you can elaborate what exactly you want for these 2 teams and they are totally different, create 2 domains and 2 diagrams UCR as TEAM1_SOAINFRA, TEAM1_ORAMDS and TEAM2_SOA_INFRA, TEAM2_ORAMDS etc.

  Infact, in a single database, we like schemes for DEV, QC and UAT Env with these prefixes such as dev_soainfra, qc_soainfra, uat_soainfra etc. BUT we totally 3 separate SOA domains like devSoaDomain, qcSoaDomain, uatSoaDomain with each using its own scheme. None of them can work on the other.

  As I read if the VDM is in the same ad that users they can connect using their credentials of the AD with the VD client.

  My problem is that I created a pool of offices for users in a different domain that is not trusted by the domain that owns the VDM.  I read that users will then need to login for virtual offices maually.  Way we want via remote desktop (RDP)?

  If I try to use the VD client, I get only the ability to connect on trusted domains.  It is possible to connect on the working group using the VD client?

  Also it will be a working group does that mean that I have to create local accounts on the model of the VD for all users who need to use these VD?
