  Recently, we migrated our Oracle forms and reports application built in 6i to 11g. After going live for initials a few hours everything worked well. But when the number of report increased began to become unstable report server and reports take a long time. Sometimes, it crashes and then we had to restart the server to make it work.

  Here are the details of the version.

  Oracle Forms and Reports - 11.1.2.2.0

  Oracle Weblogic Server - 10.3.6.0

  Oracle Database - 11.2.0.1.0

  WebLogic and database are on different servers, and both are on the Windows Server 2012 platform.

  I suggest you take a look at the document WebUtil Version 1.0.6 - Notes of Production , or better still, the Developer Oracle Forms - WebUtil User Guide and follow the steps listed in the Configuration of WebUtil and specifically the installation Checklist time. Print a checklist and make sure that you complete each step. When you are finished, WebUtil must be properly configured and working.

  I have 200 reports. I use the application server and I don't want to use the name of the report server in reporting codes.
  If I want to change the server name of report to 200 reports so it will take time.
  Is it possible to set report server for all reports and do not change anything in the reports?

  There is nothing in detail. If you have decided yo use the server name of a search report. So, if there is no table of research/references for your project. Then add a field more by report server name. And at runtime to report by a simple select, you can get this report server name and use this report server in your code. as

  SELECT rep_server
  INTO variable
  FROM my_table;
  

  So, now to use this variable as a report server name in your calling code report. So at any time if you need to change the name of the report server, you can just update this table entry.

  It seems that the Internet Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.2) installer allows us only to install the complete set of tools that is Oracle Forms Developer, Oracle Designer, Oracle Reports Developer and Oracle10g JDeveloper and we cannot do a custom install which either we would just install forms and reports or to remove install station Designer and JDeveloper.
  Is there another way to install only the tools forms and reports?

  I lost my original for RA and re-installed server components on another server, however, when I try to access the workspace site, I get the message * "did not find a server Hyperion Reporting and analysis 'former name of the server running" at the port of 6800.   This essentially means that the HSS register always points to the old name of the server for the RA_FRAMEWORK component. You will need to check through the report of registry if there several instance of the RA registered (one with the old server) framework and the other with the new server. If Yes, you can remove the old a registry through the epmsys_registry command line tool and reconfigure with the new server.

  If you need help with the same, if it please raise a SR with Oracle support and should be able to guide you through.

  Oracle Designer is a complete computer-aided design tool and software development. It gives you a set of tools for logical design as an entity-relationship diagrammer, a Process Modeler and a stream Diagrammer. It has a set of design tools from database to physical database design. It can also help to design modules of Oracle Forms application, reports Oracle, PL/SQL Web Toolkit or Visual Basic (VB6, I think, but versions not later as VB.Net). It will then generate these modules. It stores your designs in a metadata repository in an Oracle database, and you can make some nice reports your design data.

  Oracle Forms Developer does one thing and does it very well - it allows you to design and develop modules of Oracle Forms. Note that Designer can do this too, but because the designer generates your forms, you don't have quite as much control over the way they look and work like you would with the Oracle Forms Developer.

  One last thing, these tools are considered to be "mature". For Designer, this means that not much has changed or improved for a while. Forms, however, is still a few changes and improvements with each new version. Nothing really important, but more designer. See the statement of management tools for more information.

  Yes, the 10.1.2 comes with a pre-installed Webutil.
  The 2 things you need to do to complete the installation is to compile the package WEBUTIL_DB in your database and download the stuff of Jacob, as indicated in the documentation for Webutil.

  Oracle has the licenses of WebLogic Server (Enterprise Edition and Suite) and SOA Suite in the same way they do for EA DB, i.e. using the basic factor and multiplying by the number of cores. I'm sure you're familiar with the hard and soft political partitioning of Oracle (to run the Oracle products in virtualized environment)

  (2) how to find information on licenses. Any support notes?

  As for the database, Oracle provides "Licensing information" contained in the documentation. You can find details about what is included in each of the FMW SKU licensed by Oracle. For the 12.1.3 version, you can find the license here news - Oracle Fusion Middleware Licensing Information Manual® - materials.

  You should consider the development and test environments, if you plan to build their. They must also be licensed.

  Please use Net Configuration Wizard or set tnsnames.ora with string and computer name to connect.

  NET Configuration Assistant.
  When its open then go to.
  * The local Net Service name configuration.
  * Click Next.
  * Add.
  * Click Next.
  * Name service - Type here connect the String which is XE or any connection string.
  * TCP.
  * Click Next.
  Host name - enter computer name or Ip address.
  * Yes, perform a test.
  you enter the right password and username here.

  Note:-your database should be Up if it's not high, it will be by the same error please start your database first.
