  All point one: try to edit instanceconfig.xml by inserting the tags:

  
       en
  

  Now chosen language will be English, and given only one language is allowed no selection will not appear.

• Quick filter dashboard, navigate to various tabular reports

  I could implement this in halfway.
  
  My guest of dashboard has 4 filters, the fourth filter has three values in drop-down list.
  
  "Commensurate with the amount of sales.
  "Report with the amount of the purchase.
  "Report with the purchase and sale.
  
  When the user selects the first choice, he must navigate to my "SALES REPORT" that is section 2 of the dashboard page.
  When the user selects the second choice, he must navigate to my "PURCHASE REPORT" which is article 3 of the dashboard page.
  When the user selects the third choice, he must navigate to my 'COMBINED-REPORT' which is article 4 of the dashboard page.
  
  All three are three entirely different report, with previous reviews so far, I created the line of the dashboard and the presentation variable, but unable to go further.

  I'll show you how do it with one. Repeat for the other two reports.

  (1) build a little rapport with any two TANK columns. For the first column, click on the fx, copy the column name, and then delete it. Type this: WHEN 1 BOX = 0 THEN (paste the column name you copied here) ELSE 'Report with Sales Amount' END. The second column let such what. The reason for the second column is OBIEE requires that all reports have at least one column. Since we "dummied out" column, if you do not have another column, OBIEE will be error.

  (2) place a filter on the first column and assign the Variable presentation you had for the fourth guest column (that users can select "Report with Sales Amount" of).

  (3) on your dashboard, drag the "SALES REPORT" report to a section.

  (4) this section, click on the properties of the Section (NOT the report properties button!) button and then select guided Navigation.

  (5) browse the small report created in step 1) and click on the radio button 'when the report returns lines. "

  So what does is the following: when the user selects 'Report with Sales Amount' from the dash prompt, it will produce a line on your small report. And for this reason, guided the section Navigation appears this report. When the user selects something else, the small report will return no line and this section will not display.

  Repeat the above for the two other reports with the appropriate modifications.

• Why do need write access to the Java installation directory

  We are upgrading of Siebel Analytics 7.8 to OBIEE 10.1.3.4.
  As OBIEE requires Java 1.5 or higher as a prerequisite, we plan to uninstall Java 1.4 and install the latest version of Java 1.5.

  I had this same issue and asked Oracle. Here's what they told me:

  By Dev:

  «For presentation of OBI and OBI Publisher Services, the jdk font files are copied to the location of the JDK because we do not bundle our own JDK.» To ensure that the installation can do this, you must make sure the Oracle BI Installer has permissions to copy files to the location specified in the JDK.

  This means that if the same user that Installer / decompressed JDK is also installing Oracle BI, installation should work. In this case the permissions of the JDK is probably 755.

  This will not work if a root user installs JDK and a normal user installs Oracle BI because the normal user has not access to write to the location of the JDK or will not work if the location of JDK is read-only, i.e. 444. In this case running chmod 777-r will work. »

• Requirement of OBIEE

  Hi Experts,

  I have a requirement where I need to display the graph of the workforce by age. The Age column is provided for each employee in fact Table.

  Example:

  Provided column is 23, 24... 30

  But I need to show as

  Effective age group

  2 20 - 30

  30-40 3

  Please advice me how this could be done in OBIEE 11 g.

  New column name, there Age_Group

  20-25:-CASE WHEN AGE 20 AND AGE< 25="" then="" 20-25="" else="">

  25-30:-CASE WHEN AGE > 25 AND AGE< 30="" then="" 25-30="" else="">

  30-35:-CASE WHEN AGE > 30 AND AGE< 35="" then="" 30-35="" else="">

  35-40:-CASE WHEN AGE > 35 AND AGE< 40="" then="" 35-40="" else="">

  Now for the account of the head, you can use Count (Head_Count)

• Requirement of OBIEE 11G

  I have a requirement, and I don't know where to start. We have two different Ad-hoc tools OBIEE and BO, and they both sit on two different servers, of course.
  
  Well, the problem is that within the BO, there is one area that you can build reports against. This particular field does not exist in OBIEE. I even ran I watched by Developer SQL tables which built the topic area in BO are not yet on the OBIEE server, so I can't import the data to the RPD.
  
  I've never worn the hat of s/n, and I'm trying not to. I see tables on the BO server, so what is the best way to get back the tables on the OBIEE server and import them into my RPD?

  Based on the entry on the Server tables and import of obiee Server creat system Dsn database or tns.
  I think this would be the beginning point.

• Cognos for obiee conversion framework requirements

  Hi all
  
  I'm working on a request for proposal for a project that includes the conversion of Cognos in OBIEE. Now, I have no knowledge on the functioning of Cognos, but the system "AS IS" a lot of cubes which they build cognos reports. Also, most of their system is transactional and dimensionless.
  
  I know that for this convert to OBIEE, it may require ETL work and then I can build the RPD file but could you be it someone please let me know if there is any other SETTING that is required before proceeding with the conversion. From a technical point of view, what are the requirements before we can begin to migrate to OBIEE. Can anyone let me know the measures of high level that needs to be done for this type conversion. Will be very grateful to you all.

• JDK installation required for OBIEE 11.1.1.6 installation

  Hi all
  
  I try to install OBIEE 11.1.1.6 on windows XP and I want to know do we need to install Java for the installation of OBIEE jdk6 or not? I'm unable to open the file rcu.bat for the installation of the UCR. If necessary can someone let me know which version should I download and install.

  To open a file, you must click with the right button on the rcu.bat and click on change, or to open Notepad and drag the file to Notepad.

• OBIEE 11 g installation disc number 5 required

  when im trying to install obiee on windows 7/windows xp, it has successfully installed up to 16%, at this stage its request for disc number 5 eventhough I browse disc number 5 quick screen always appears... What could be the problem gurus?

  Copy the entire disc in a single folder

  EG:D: / BIFiles / (subfilles) disk1, disk2, disk3, disk4, disk5

  then try to run setup.exe from the disk that will solve your problem.

  So, if you want to start you setting reports for mobile or tablets.

  You should enable the option of mobile application, how can you do that?

  1. you must apply a hotfix to an OBIEE:

  "BI Mobile App Designer is now available as a patch for Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition, version 11.1.1.7.1. [patch number 17220944 to support.oracle.com] »

  2. When you got the enable Mobile Application, you must create your report with "BI Modila App".

• Question of interaction of RPD OBIA and OBIEE

  Hello, experts.

  I'm looking for in - for the first time - work to implement an out of topic obiee and related reports previously delivered data models.

  My initial understanding is that the Data Warehouse Admin Console (DAC) works with Informatica to build and nurture the dimensionally modeled tables.

  I could find this documentation - which seems to meet the requirements for the data models and transformations.

  I guess out of box OBIA solution also includes pre-built obiee metadata repository areas and contents of the catalog.

  The doc fails to examine how the areas are created in the repository of obiee metadata and how the content of the catalog is loaded.

  If the documentation discuss the content of the RPD and catalog exists, I not using the right search terms to dig up.

  I am new to the preconfigured solutions OBIA and hope that there are people who might have useful references.

  Would you please help me understand how the dimensional tables compiled via the DAC and informatica are configured/referenced by the obiee metadata repository?

  Where is that pre-built content stored catalog that refers the repository field of metadata pre-built?

  The catalogue and the RPD is built during installation... You will get the complete set of modules - so you can cut on those that you are not allowed to use.

• RCU for OBIEE 11.1.1.9

  IAM going to install OBIEE 11.1.1.9 on Solaris SPARC 64-bit machine. But when I checked for UCR 11.1.1.9, it is available for Windows 64-bit, Linux 32 and 64-bit Linux platforms. How should I proceed?

• Javascript Visual Analyzer with OBIEE 12 c error

  I did a default installation of OBIE 12 c on Linux x 64 (centos 7.1) machine, it went very well I must say and I can use the product, but Visual Analyzer does not work.

  When I start a project, if the type of visualization is Table or PivotTable. I get the following error (when viewing types are of the charts that it works).

  Re-installed OBIEE 12 and problem disappeared. I think it was caused by a change of hostname after the installation of the product.
