  need help to solve a problem with the dynamic selection of images for reports OBIEE 11 g.
  For OBIEE 10 g, it works perfectly - put images in
  
  *'\ < HOME_ORACLE_BI > \web\app\res\s_oracle10\images'*
  
  Directory and enter edit the column formula (in the answers) of the expression:
  
  * ' < table_name > '. "" < table_column > | ". jpg'*.
  
  and selecting
  
  URL of the image (in the properties of column-> Data Format)

  For the OBIEE 11g (installed on W7, DWH on MSSQL 2008R2, VM in the field), I followed the link * "http://vikramwalia.wordpress.com/category/obiee-11g/" * and stuck at the step where the browser should recover image (s) based on the following address:
  
  *' http://localhost:9704/analyticsRes/product / *.
  
  Dive into the issue, I checked the staticports.ini and in the * [WEBLOGIC] * section find the following message is displayed:
  
  *#The port of 'content' for the most part POET. This is the Weblogic managed server port on which BIEE applications are deploie.*
  Oracle WLS BIEE managed Server Port No. = 9704
  
  that seems to be OK...
  
  The netstat command response confuses me much since I found (and also of external) record for TCP Local address (should be < IP localhost >: 9704), which lead me to the point that, probably one of the OBIEE 11 g services not started OR I made a mistake during installation of OBIEE 11 g, although the system did not send a message about this possibility. BTW, the BI Publisher on this machine works correctly.
  
  So, kindly ask support or advice on this subject. Thank you

  Not able to open the IAM blog you referred to above.

  Make sure that you have deployed the analyticsRes component as shown in http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/fmw/bi/bi1113/customizing_obiee11g/customizing_obiee11g.htm. Create a folder called produced under analyticsres and start accessing images.

  I try to install OBIEE 11.1.1.6 on windows XP and I want to know do we need to install Java for the installation of OBIEE jdk6 or not? I'm unable to open the file rcu.bat for the installation of the UCR. If necessary can someone let me know which version should I download and install.

  To open a file, you must click with the right button on the rcu.bat and click on change, or to open Notepad and drag the file to Notepad.

• Home page by default for OBIEE 11 g based on the users and the wise group

  I'm using OBIEE 11 g.

  I need set the page default dashboard for the user and the wise group.

  EX:

  User1 is belongs to Group1 and Role1 - they need to see the default homepage as Dashboard1.

  User2 is belongs to the Group 2 and Role2 - they need to see the default homepage as Dashboard2.

  Kindly guide me to achieve.

  I'm working on Essbase, I had the chance to work on OBIEE.

  Installed and configured successfully.

  Database: 11g R2

  UCR: 11.1.1.7

  OBIEE: 11.1.1.7

  I created a model with a single Essbase application and uploaded to the repository in Oracle Enterprise Manager and began to create some analysis.

  Now, I created a different model with another Essbase application and uploaded to the repository in OEM, now in OBIEE I can not access the earlier.

  I got to know why we have to use the repository share, but I am unable to set the location for it

  I tried with several options but its not allowing to update the location of the repository of the action, get the error "'did not apply the information in the repository" "

  An acceptable syntax is: "/ net/machine/disk3/sharedrpddata ', I tried with below those

  • \ORACLE_INSTANCE\bifoundation\OracleBIServerComponent\coreapplication_obisn\repository
  • $ORACLE_INSTANCE\bifoundation\OracleBIServerComponent\coreapplication_obis1\repository
  • \\MachineName\C$\OBIEE11g\instances\instance1\bifoundation\OracleBIServerComponent\coreapplication_obis1\repository

  I intend to install Database (DB1) on a single machine and OBIEE (OB1) on another machine and OBIEE 2 (OB2) will be my back machine for disater recovery.
  
  First of all, I'll install OB1 using the DB1 and which works very well.
  
  now I can't use the same DB1 to install OB2. ?
  
  If this isn't the case, please suggest me a way to make this work.

  You must create a BIPLATORM schema for each instance that you install!

  can you please tell me what are all patterns are required for installation of obiee 11g as I know for 10g we have bi olap, informatica, Planner and CAD drawings. so for 11g alsowe will these 4 patterns with MDS and BIPLATFORM schema that are created by using the remote control.

• BI Publisher for OBIEE data sources

  I know that BI Publisher can be part of an OBIEE Dashboard using a query OBIEE answers as the source data for the BI Publisher report. My question is if a BI Publisher report can have one data source other than an OBIEE answers such as a custom SQL query and still be part of an OBIEE dashboard? If possible, no matter what version of OBIEE and BI Publisher is used?

  data source other than a request for responses OBI can be included in a dashboard OBIEE.
  Using the dashboard objects, we can call the BIpublisher report in the dashboard.
