• How to make a data connection object variable?

  This should be easy, but I can ' t sort.

  I created a database connection and cloned it so I could avoid security problems.

  The cloned connection works fine and I can query some records and the related fields are filled. The problem comes when I try to move to the next record with 'clonedDB.next ()' for example. The error that says: "clonedDB is not defined. This code is all in Java.

  If I maybe I need to create an object variable to hold the object clonedDB; That's what I can't figure out how or if will solve my problem.

• What is the right way to use variables controlled by the two buttons and programming?

  First of all, I apologize if this has been discussed before.  I know not how to phrase succinctly the application, so maybe I just missed the search terms.

  We have several pieces of the Labview software in the laboratory that automatically control things like the taps and heaters.  Sometimes we also manually control these same things.  I'm moving old NI PCI (and older versions of Labview) maps to a variable and based on compactRIO system shared network.  However, I'm still not on best practices to achieve.  I need to be able to have a script running at any time control panel so that I can access, for example, a valve controller (which is just a Boolean), and I need power open and close the valve by programming other scripts.  I need, of course, the control panel to track the State of the valve until it opens another script, the Panel indicates that it is open, and the next push on the control panel it will close.

  Historically, this has been processed using structures business to move from a "computer control" and "hands-on" with global variables that define the State of the valves.  Of course, this is not recommended.

  So far, I've played with the help of two variables, a status of valve and the other for the State of button.  The Panel configuration then loops, reads the status of the valve and puts the State of button if the State of the valve has changed.  I can do this with registers at offset or with the structures of the event, but anyway, it gets very crowded and seems inefficient.  Is there a good way to do this in Labview?  It seems this is a common problem, so I hope there is an easy and elegant solution that I've missed.

  Variable published use shared network.  Your scenario and your manual of the interface and change the variable and then shared your cRIO reads fair value and writes the appropriate values.

  Now for a cool part.  On your manual interface, right-click on your heart control that you want to use to control the shared variable and go to properties.  There should be a data binding tab in the Properties dialog box.  You can bind a control/indicator to a published network shared variable.  So this button will always be attributed to the current state.

  Your script should just read the shared variable before resuming to verify that it is in the correct state.

  I inherited code which has a cluster of CTL control nested inside another group of control CTL.  If I drag the control nested outside the border of the other, I can right-click to create a local variable, I need to connect to the bundle name.  However, as soon as I drag the inside the limits of external control, it breaks the local variable.

  It turns that I need a local variable for the cluster internal.

  JPG attached shows that I created a local variable for the external cluster (ParametersCluster), used a Unbundle based on the name to access cluster internal (EmptyParmeters) and can access one of the elements through an another Unbundle by name.

  I am attached to a companct data logger which will eventually be built into an executable file.

  Once built, I consider the uneditable blockdiagram and trace variables 100 + out of the question.

  That's why I want to be able to navigate to the variable through the façade.

  Problem

  As input for the 'read Variable.vi' I placed a control refnum on the façade.

  On using Browse on the façade of the dropdown menu, control some of the shared Variable

  The items are grayed out. I tried to deploy all variables shared and have visually inspected the varable

  properties to find no correlation. So far, I've failed.

  Can someone please advise...

  I have the need to create a UIcontrol FileVariables in my TestStand UI developed in Labview.

  When I insert the test sequence variables are dispalyed in the UIcontrols FileVariables. But when I break the while test sequence runs, I do not see the variables updated.

  I've attached an example. I modified the standard (full) user interface adding a FileVariables UIcontrols. I added that does not refresh the variables.

  Given that you are wanting to display the value of variables during execution, you will need to connect your VariablesView control to the Manager view of execution, rather than the Manager of SequenceFileView. You can see an example of this in the current user interface by going to the run tab in the interface and looking VariablesView control it. Its reference is stored in a variable called execution Variables, and this variable is connected to the requeteexecution Manager in the Subvi "Configure Manager requeteexecution", which is a sub - VI VI Init in the code of the interface.

  I think that if you connect to your VariablesView control for requeteexecution Manager, he will have the behavior you're looking for. If you have any other questions on this subject, let us know!

• Redesign of the object of control reference

  I have a strict type def would control tab and my various objects (controls, indicators, decorations) are on the respective tabs there.  When I deleted the first tab of my tab control, all the objects remained with the tab n-th instead of through the name of the tab.  Now my tab context is all wrong.  Can someone help me?

  OK I see what say you - I just created a tab of STD control and only added a bunch of stuff on one page in an instance of the control - edited type def and... the unexpected behaviors.  A page on the type-def deleting delete page on the instance, but not the controls on the page of the instance that are not part of the type-FED.

  I think that maybe it's NOT a good practice of coding and would avoid adding objects to a def of strict outside the def of type Type so that you avoid this undesirable behavior.  Change the def type itself to add or remove objects.

  As a general rule, PL/SQL analysis a cursor explicit only the first time it is opened and analysis a SQL (creating an implicit cursor) only the first time the statement is executed.   Ce_que I would do, is to have an object style that will assign to a frame 1) dressing, 2) vertical center and 3) put the Page Blank words unless I have to type them in each time. I already have the object style set for the scarf, the alignment and the paragraph to the text style. • Can I record a value Object Variable Global change in a structure of the event?

  I have revealed a global variable to the user via a panel of sup, so that the user directly changes a global variable Panel.  This works very well for this application.

  However, I would like to respond to that in a structure of the event.

  I tried to register for the GV-> [command] Panel.  It seems to work, but the changes do not generate an event.

  I then tried to save the commands individually.  Also hosted in the code, it did not work at run time.

  Is this possible?  Any ideas on how to make it work?
