  Hello! I was editing a short documentary and was cutting pieces of a record, put in audio clips only cuts. Later, I thought it would be nice to put in the music video as well. Is there an easy way to remove the video the sound forest part, without having to find the location of the sound and re-do?

  Place the playhead on an audio clip, then press 'F' to Match framework. This will open the clip (audio & video) with points in the Source monitor and output. Do drag or crush the video above the sound. I hope this helps!

• CS3: Sound Clips on the Timeline contains no sound

  Have not worked on a project in some time. When I came back to it, sound extracts, which are on the timeline seem to contain no sound. These same clips in project bins seem to be ok. Yes, the audio is enabled. Any ideas?

  In the photo above you can see that I have an a video clip with Audio SAM_1024 (this and other clips have audio). I also added to the far right, the clip of SAM_1024 once again but he is there no audio (where it happened) as on the left side, the SAM_1024 has audio.   This happens quite often where clips have audio out of the Prime Minister, but once imported in the first there is no audio data.  Help, any ideas that happens?

  Richard's response is correct.  You must remove the portion without audio, Patch track and then add the new element.

  My machine 64bits Win8 will direct the sound to the default speakers output, but when I try to turn on/off the sound at a different devices, as for example 'headphones' sound turns off. I use the area of notification icons on my PC to select the audio output device that works acceptably in other browsers.

  Except that I noticed at least once on a TED talk video was that if the sound/clip was loaded from the URL directly instead of as embedded in a Web page, the native audio device to the operating system selector works fine.

  I think that you will need to close and restart Firefox after you change the audio device by default to make Firefox pick up the change. Otherwise it can not work properly, especially when a media (HTML5) drive is used and not a plugin.

  I try to import a DV (Canon GL1) movie in iMovie ' 09 (version 8.0.6).

  When I import it, iMovie automatically split it into clips for each simple editing I've done. I edited with Final Cut Pro for many years and put it on tape. The timecode is continuous but it always breaks upward in dozens of clips.

  Anyway is to simply import it as a sound clip?

  Is how important it?  If you select all the clips to the event and put in a project schedule, they will be joined again when the project is exported.

  If I've understood your problem, try this. Create a shortcut to "soundrecorder /file outputfilename.wav" (without the quotes).

  Then start soundrecorder via this shortcut and start and stop the recording, it will save so (hopefully) as a wav as before.

  I think the problem is, W7 soundrecorder, by default, saves to wma.

  If not, try a 3rd free part program such as Audacity (which seems like overkill, but should do the job).

  I have a sound I want to play for a random time. I have setup and it plays very well. I was using the. stop() to stop the audio clip. The problem is when I want to play again, it resumes from the collapsed point. So I searched and stop() appears to be nothing more then pause() lol. I was wondering if there is a way to stop the sound clip and return it at the beginning?

• Problem audio clip in the sequence

  Hi, Im new to the forum. I'm using Adobe premiere CC on macbook pro. I have a problem with my sound clip. I import them and they work well in the source monitor. I try with the first and it appears in the sequence with the audio. any fine. But when I try to place on the other, it lets me just load image not the sound, I do not understand why? Can someone help me? Thank you very much!

  The first thing to check is that source patch is selected for an audio track. In the screenshot below, blue background behind "V1" means that the source patch is enabled; the default dark gray background for A1 means source patch is disabled.

  

  If you find that source patch is indeed enabled, then please post a screenshot of your mounting Panel to help us diagnose the problem.

• Download swf with sound?

  Having a problem loading / integrate a SWF with sound. Slight newbie to the design of web sites and management so excuse me if I made a stupid mistake.

  I have a file SWF (named posterforscreen.swf) that is an interactive poster, when you click on elements of the background changes color poster and plays a little melody. This all works fine on my desktop, with sound clips contained in a "posterforscreen_Resources" folder in the same folder as the original SWF file.

  

  I downloaded on my site of catalyst for business using the same exact file structure

  

  If I click on 'Preview in the browser again' when 'posterforscreen.swf' is selected in the file manager of catalyst business a new tab opens with the file read as usual also changing backgrounds and sounds.

  However, when you attempt to place the swf file in a page in my site using code <embed src =' images/posterforscreen.swf '> I get the poster appearing and changing backgrounds on click but with no sound, no idea where I am going wrong? I guess it's to do with integration as the file works fine on its own from in the file manager.

• Play an external .swf sound loaded

  I have a small .swf file containing any of the characters in my game. In my project main actionscript 3, I load the .swf from an external source and display it in my game. It works very well, however, I join the swf file contains a short sound clip that should be played whenever the user clicks on the character.

  I know that I could add an onClick listener to the small .swf itself and write code in Flash Professional to play the sound. The problem is that I have an options menu in my game that allows the user to specify the volume of these sounds, and I think that this information would be unavailable for the loaded external .swf

  The audio file must therefore somehow be packed inside the .swf of character, but I also need to be able to play through my custom "SoundPlayer" class that I have in my actionscript project. Any ideas how I could do this?
