  I had ongoing issues with my Mail months including Spindumps and just doesn't look good, so I changed the e-mail settings in the past according to the directives of the ISP, but now the incoming server is grayed out, more it's time to see if my overall situation needs some changes. As I am researching the current issue of the evolution of the e-mail settings, I see the information that can be linked to a larger problem, so I'm including that in a larger context.

  I use my Web site for most of my email accounts and received error messages indicating that the certificate is not valid. I contacted Hostway and learned that they have their own encryption and don't require SSL, but they said Apple mail works best if I use their specific settings instead of those I have. The server settings entering my accounts existing messaging site are shaded out and immutable. What is the best way to make changes without causing more problems?

  I tried to move the mail account plist.to the trash and restart hoping that would disable the accounts but it didi not work. Or I sign out to iCloud and make changes?

  In/Library/Application Support / Mail / Online Account Types/com.apple.updated.mailaccounts/MailAccounts.plist, the Account.plist includes an e-mail account which is Ameritech and not logged into my site.

  in Library/Mail/it is V2 and V3. V2 is V2/MailData/Accounts.plist. V3 contains no Accounts.plist. in MailData. I printed the Accounts.plist. and there are 22 pages of data. Each e-mail account is repeated at least three times and it seems connected to the when I made changes to the account settings in the past.

  This may be related to a larger problem because I have error messages related to the e-mail in the console.

  Re: Certificate error. When the message appears you must choose "see the certificate", then select "always Trust ' in keychain."

  CREATE A NEW USER

  Go to system-> Preferences, create a new user in users and groups.

  Place in the new user by logging in under the Apple in the menu bar.

  Log in to the new user.

  You can skip the connection with an Apple ID, unless you want to test an iCloud account. Select continue, then jump.

  Open Mail and add your account. If it's a POP account, make sure that you do not select "remove copy from server after retrieving a message," on the Advanced tab.

  I understand that you don't see a list of emails or mailbox in the Mail on your Mac application.   The first thing I would ask you to check is the View command in the menu bar.  If the list of the mailbox is hidden, when you click the View command, you should see "list mailboxes."

  If the column is displayed, you see a category called On MY MAC?  Hover your mouse over the words and you should see an option to show or hide.  Click view and you should see your Inbox, sent and other mailboxes are displayed.    In addition, I don't know if you have recently updated for Mac OS X El Capitan, but this might apply to you:

  Recently, I replaced my bold 9700.  I want to me re - login my gmail account and when I go to configuration > e-mail accounts and tap / click on email account, it does nothing.   After the updates, or simply when things go crazy with e-mail, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... ( Please wait for this before moving on to the next step) :

  (1) registry HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
  • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

  (2) remove and return Service directories

  • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
  • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
  • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

  (3) restart to take batt

  • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I did and the innbox disappeared, but when I tried to add the account again, I get the message that the account already exists.   1. Please make sure that you don't have two accounts with the same email address. What happens if one of them is an iCloud account.

  2. If you use iCloud Keychain, open the iCloud pane in system preferences and uncheck the keychain. You will be prompted to delete the keychain local iCloud.   A week or two ago, the non-administrator user account icons disappeared from the Welcome screen in Windows XP (32-bit home edition).  Also do they not appear on the list of user accounts.  However, their directories of files remain on the hard disk in Documents and Settings.  They can connect via CTRL ALT DEL x 2, but that's all.  If I try to recreate the accounts, returns the message "account already exists."  I searched the web for ages and many similar symptoms, but none reported patches work.  Any ideas please?

  In light of the where you are, my next step would be to treat these users hidden like 'corrupt profiles' and try one of the several approaches that cover profiles corrupted.  The General method to recover a damaged profile is to create a new user and move all data of the corrupted user profile which has been created.  Once this was accomplished, the corrupted profile can be deleted from the system as well as the user name.  Follow the procedures described in either of the following items:
