Lose T530 AC (logins) + PM (Power Manager) icons after Sysprep

Lenovo T530 (Windows 7, x 64 SP1) Sysprep OOTB generalized

After the Sysprep, the system loses the icons on the dial-up connections (Version 5.85) and Power Manager (Version 6.32) in the taskbar. I can get back them, if I do a right click on the taskbar and choose the AC and the PM manually.

Is there a possibility that the symbols retained after the sysprep?

Probably because the tools are not added to the taskbar in user 'by default'. Added tools to the taskbar in Audit mode?

Although sysprep will not keep certain parameters. You may need to use 'unattended.xml' to set up scripts to add these tools to the task bar.

Just one more question: what is the PM tool appears in its factory condition?

  • Taskbar icon battery lack of power management options after upgrade to Windows 7

    Hello

I just upgraded to Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit on my HP dv4t laptop.

Under Vista, when I left click on the battery icon on the right side of the taskbar (next to the clock), I would see three power - recommended HP options, saving energy and high performance. It was excellent. Click on the stack, click the option to that I actually wanted.

I have just upgraded to Windows 7. When I left click on the battery icon, I see only 2 power options - one that is currently active and HP recommended. That means whoever I want to never in the list. You see, I don't use never HP recommended, and if Power Saver is active, it is in the list... but if Power Saver is selected and I want to spend, which is why I must click the icon of the battery in the first place, it is because I want to choose something else than the day before.

This suppression of the feature is frustrating. How can I get the three points to be in the list yet? If not, how can I remove HP recommended in the list?

    Thank you!
    Eric

    Ericpdx,

It is a feature, which was invited in many forums in the days of Beta version. We didn't get no answer or how to reactivate. We thought, Windows 7 RC will come with this missing feature, but in any case it didn't.

It was posted in a forum, a member who needed too (I don't know why). I agree that this is not a direct solution for the functionality you want. I just posted, if this can help you in any case.

Thanks for the information. When I checked the page software and drivers for your laptop, I noticed there are no drivers available for Windows 10. • Power Manager Vista icon has no color

This is a new installation of Vista Ultimate on a T61p 6459 - CTO, after all the Windows updates and Lenovo system update, the Power Manager icon that sits next to the Notification area is white and battery life remaining text is pale, blue and very difficult to read, instead of the usual black on green background text. Anyone seen this before? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Solved! This is the Aero scheme. The task bar is semi-transparent, and it affects the color of the icon!

  • X61s maintenance manager/battery power and win 7 power management

I know that my beloved Thinkpad is almost an antique, but I was struggling with the Lenovo Power Manager utility, after a fresh install of Win 7 Home Premium.

First, it seems like the Lenovo's PM and the management of Aboriginal food Win 7 can have values in conflict for similar parameters (such as low and critical battery levels, for example).

Most importantly, I can't get the battery maintenance functions in the Lenovo PM to do anything. If I say to manage the level of load to the maximum lifetime, battery charging to 100% and just stay there. If I use the laptop on battery and put back in charge, same thing - it costs just 100% and stays there.

In addition, reset battery does not seem to do anything either. It is pretty hard to tell if it is still running. What seems to happen, is that I'll go through the steps, and the large button flashes slowly. That means it is running? But in any case, nothing happens. The battery is just sitting there fully charged.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I have no advice to give, but I can confirm that my X61s with Win7-64 and PM v6.64.2 seems to work very well. I have thresholds of 30% battery charge / 80% of the value. PM keeps the battery charged within this range.

  • Satellite Pro A10 - how to restore power management

I'm running a little used by Satellite Pro A10 as a substitute for a sick office and trying to improve performance after the installation of some essential software.
It seems you accidentally disable the Toshiba power management function - when I click the icon on the Toshiba Console there is no response.

Power management seems to retain its previous setting, however, and I find myself with no control otherwise.

Any advice on how to restore this function on the Console?

You can also try to use the system restore utility to set the operating system to the point of time at the beginning!
    Maybe it will work

  • M30X 129: problem of battery or power management road

    Hi all

I had a lot of trouble with my laptop recently; When using just the battery I can watch it unloads and a minute, he can read about 30% or more, depending on the laptop will be beep like crazy and then go into hibernation. I put it to Hibernate at 5%. I find it incredible that the battery can lose about a quarter of its power in less than 60 seconds.

I've updated the utility of power management using the Toshiba site, but it has not changed anything. The only time that I have the AC adapter and battery at the same time is when I charge the battery, if I'm near a power outlet and there is no need to reload, I always remove the battery.

I read on these forums somewhere on the withdrawal of the Toshiba power management and just using windows, but I prefer not to change anything like that, as far as I'm concerned the Toshiba it should do the job! The laptop is still under warranty but my nearest authorized repair center is more than 200 miles away, so, does anyone have any ideas of what I can do or try next? I'm out of ideas...

    Cheers in advance,
    Colin

    Hi Colin,

You don't say how old is your battery, but it is more likely to be a hardware problem with your battery rather than a problem with the Toshiba power utility.

It seems that if one or more of the cells in your battery cannot hold its charge properly, and once the remaining cells the battery power exhaustion will fall suddenly.

  • Power Manager BUG?

    Hi people;

I have a x130e on Windows 7 (x 64) with Power Manager installed 6.68.8 with the Lenovo Power Management driver (from the same package).

What I see is that the always on function USB does not work. It is enabled in the BIOS and enabled in the power management.

But, on the way of troubleshooting, I noticed something about the power management program and wonder if there is a bug.

If I go in the global settings of power and enable always on USB but that also, even when the computer is off, then click on apply, check marks remain. However, as soon as I shut off Power Manager and then re - start, the check marks are gone. They disappear.

The same thing happens with the beep when power state changes button. Even if, with this one, it looks like the feature rest after restarting the App (I can hear it).

I guess you can imagine that the always on USB troubleshooting feature made much more difficult when the Soft Power Manager seems to lose the settings after you close the program.

A confirmation or ideas would be appreciated. I uninstalled the program and re-installed and rebooted the computer - same thing.

UPDATE > I went all the way back to version 6.38 and I see the same behavior - the settings are not enabled between sessions of Power Manager.

Nevermind, I solved the problem by removing the Power Manager software...

Not the greatest witness, it's course...

  • Power Manager 10 Windows T560

Hi, I downloaded the driver of power manager and pack of dependence of the parameters. I see the files for the power manager in the drivers/Win. But when I go to programs and features, Power Manager is not listed. When I right click on the battery icon I don't have an "Advanced" option

So, how can I run / access the Manager of power I can change my load thresholds?

    Thanks in advance

To 10 of Windows, you must download and install 'Lenovo Settings' of the Windows store.

Inside of this app is a section of 'Power' which contains battery-related settings you want.

  • No Power Manager on T450s shortcut key?

I installed a X 220 to a T450s, and I see that there is no shortcut key to select a profile for more power. This seems like a huge oversight. Windows 7 only allows its profiles of power native to be learned from its quick access tools (battery icon in the tray of the taskbar or menu of the Windows key + X). Now if I want to use one of the Lenovo power profiles (which are much more customizable than the native Windows ones), I have to make visible the toolbar of the Lenovo Power Manager in my taskbar so you can double-click it and wait for the application of Power Manager to launch. So I can select a profile, 'apply' the selection and close the application.

I'm used to switching several times power profiles per day depending on whether I use the laptop on battery on my couch, use it to compile the code on AC power at work, or the half dozen of other situations. Is it possible to install the old app hot-switch selection of profiles of power on this machine and map a keyboard shortcut to this? (I'd be happy to give up some of the unnecessary shortcut keys such as "OS Search" (F10) and 'Switch Window' (F11).

The executable power profile switcher is C:\Program Files (x 86) \ThinkPad\Utilities\PWMOSDV. EXE.

PIN in your taskbar or assign a hotkey (for example with AutoHotkey).

  • Battery drains Lenovo x 230 quickly in mode "ensure"; Power management centre does not work

I have my laptop lenovo x 230 put to sleep when I close the lid. When I close the lid of the icon of 'sleep' on the back of the screen lights up. But the dough will not last all night on mode 'sleep'. In about five hours, the battery is completely flat, and I have to plug it in and start the system. I've never seen this run poor dough in mode 'sleep' on any laptop I've ever owned.

Another thread in this forum blame the USB port can charge mobile phones, etc. at low specific power and recommend to disable the "always on" option fo this USB port in the Bios settings. I then either it seems to have contributed. At least my laptop still not succeed overnight in mode 'sleep'.

At this point, it seems my ownly option is to use the "sleep mode" only when the laptop is plugged in and the focus mode standby extended when the power of dough, which is disappointing. I've never had to worry about this in the past with other laptops.

Maybe / probably related is the fact that the lenovo ThinkVantage Power Manager (v. 7.16) hangs at the splash screen when I try to open it, so I tried to manage the power through the Windows Control Panel power settings.

Use powercfg in the cmd window (run it with administrator rights) to verify the effectiveness of power.

  • Unable to use power options icon of in Control Panel (xp)

My friend has an Acer laptop running on Windows XP. However, after clicking on the 'power options' icon in the Control Panel, it does nothing. That's happened? I can manually download and reinstall something rather than having to perform a system restore? My friend was not aware that this icon does not work and therefore doesn't know how long it has been like that.

    Hello Azam K,.

My apologies for my delay in responding but I've been away for a few days. Thank you for the feedback. However, so far I have not need make your suggestions because I managed to find a download on the Acer site for an Acer ePower Management application which seems to be what the power options icon was eager point to (I hope that makes sense?). The original Acer ePower Management software seems to be on the laptop but has been altered.

Once again, thanks a lot for your feedback.

  • "Power Manager has stopped working" on Win7 X120e

Operating system: Win7 (mainly so far)

    BIOS version: 1.17

    Power man: 6.45

When you click on the taskbar icon, Power Manager will not open, which gives "Power Manager has stopped working". This has been the case for quite a while and I have struggled to find someone with the same problem that could signal a problem.

I tried to uninstall and install most of the versions of the Manager of power until later. I have the latest version of the BIOS of the machine and Win7 is the most up-to-date (except for the most recent updates).

I would like to be able to handle the power supply via the Power Manager options. Any ideas?

    Thank you, very much appreciated.

It turns out, after much more research, than the .net framework necessary updated. Windows Update sorts basically this - could do with some official documents on that?

So a simple fix in the end.

  • Firefox prompts to save passwords of websites. The key to the Password Manager icon appears on the left side of the address bar, but the corresponding window asking if I want to save the password or not, does not appear. I tried all the possible solutions

I installed the latest version of Firefox on my laptop (Windows 7 Professional 64-bit). The thing is that firefox prompt to save passwords of websites. I'll explain you a little more away with an example: suppose I load www.gmail.com. When I login, the password manager key is displayed on the left side of the address bar, but the corresponding window which would ask if I want to save the password or not, does not appear. I tried all the possible solutions. It is true that when I restart firefox with disabled modules (safe mode), password manager works fine. But I don't really use Add-ons that could prevent firefox to save passwords. I disabled all add-ons and ran firefox in normal mode, but the password manager does not work yet. Please keep in mind that I tried everything and that any post not published so far describes a similar problem to mine case. Consider that I have the same I have configured the entire system from the beginning. The problem appeared again from the first time I launched firefox. At that time, I had not installed any antivirus software and there is no add-on with firefox. Hope someone can give me a valid solution...

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

It is possible that there is a problem with key3db and signons.sqlite files that store the encrypted names and passwords in Firefox.

Rename signons3.txt and signons.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder.

You can add .old files (key3.db.old and signons.sqlite.old) names or move them to another folder to make it possible to cancel the action.

You must define a new master password after renaming or removing the signons3.txt and all the currently saved passwords are lost.

If that worked, then you can delete the renamed files that are no longer needed.
