  • Productivity of FMS and sample downloads broken tools?

I could be a huge jerk, but I really need the Adobe F4V post processor for the work I do in the FMS 4.5. It seems that downloads of tools are not available on: http://www.adobe.com/products/adobe-media-server-family/tool-downloads.html

The only thing that can be downloaded is the Adobe Access for Apple iOS library.

Anyone know if it's on purpose?  Am I just dumb?  In the FMS 4.5 tools directory there is no F4V post-processor. Anyone know where I can get productivity tools real FMS and sample downloads?

  • Export data to Oracle DB using ODI Essbase

I am trying to export data to Oracle DB using ODI essbase. When I create the schema with data source and target warehouses, my goal has error indicating that the target column has no capabilities of sql. I don't know what that means. Can anyone enlighten us? Thank you.

This means that you have not defined a resting area for your columns on the target data store, as you use essbase in your interface, you need a rest area, essbase as a technology has no SQL features.

  • Essbase EAS data vs ODI Essbase data load, which is the fastest?

To load the data (no metadata) of flat file for Essbase, we have 2 ways, we're ODI, one is data load EAS, which is faster for loading data?

    Hello

If you use the method of rule no load in ODI EAS will be faster.
If you have ODI patched to 10.1.3.5.2_02 or newer (I recommend you be on the latest patches) and the use of the method of rule load then the speed should be similar to EA that it uses the same way of loading data.

  • Excerpt from the ODI Essbase MetaData

    Hi all
I use ODI to extract my QA planning essbase cube metadata. This works fine, but for the column of data storage, it is only in draft S (or store). It's the size of accounts, that I work with, so there are several dynamic Calc members in that dimension. Anyone know why I do not see these other options out to my snippet of data storage?

    Version 9.3.1

    Thank you!

    Hello

It's a bug with older versions of the ODI, I recommend upgrading to a newer version.

7186129: LKM Hyperion Essbase METADATA SQL does not extract the Member property for the storage of the data correctly.

    Fixed in version 10.1.3.4.5

  • should we empty loading data ODI and move to "Load rules" of Essbase?

    Hello
We use to load data in planning 11.1.1.3's ODI Essbase cubes.
Should move us data loading ODI on "Load rules" of Essbase?
We see no advantage to ODI over aid maxl Essbase calls script loading rules and calc scripts.
One thing he has the advantage on Essbase, is that it can refresh planning. Can you load supporting details and the text in the cell?

You have data from multiple sources, say some data sets are file bases, some are stored in warehouses or books of accounts, you want to collect these data, transform and apply the mapping, to load that data into essbase, you can add Automation around her then that is an example to use ODI to load data into essbase There are many others.
Yes you can do it with maxl, but must eventually bring about more strive to add automation, mappings, error handling etc. as you would if you have walked the path of ODI.
I do not say that you must use it, if you don't see any profit is meaningless.

  • ODI error when loading data from Oracle to Essbase

    Thank you!

First of all, I would highly recommend the upgrade because there were a few bugs with the adapters of Hyperion.
If you set MAXIMUM_ERRORS_ALLOWED to 0 it will be infinite, so it will not stop because of rejected records.

Once you assign to LOG_ENABLED and LOG_ERRORS Yes
then you LOG_FILENAME together and ERROR_LOG_FILENAME, put them in a known example location c:\temp on windows.

    Ok?

    Hello

You say that you are loading, but you chose the KM for the loading of metadata?
If you load metadata then you must provide a rules file, if you are loading and then choose the KM - IKM SQL for Hyperion Essbase (DATA)

    Ok?

Also, I have the following doubts

    1. what should be the LKM defined for the soruce. What is LKM SQL FOR SQL

    2. I have 6 standard dimensions in the table oracle but Currncy and hsprates in essbase. So, how can I ignore these two dimensions by loading data. Or is there a way where I can have the default options set for these two dimensions.

    3. can I load data from several tables into essbase. If Yes please let me know the procedure.

    Hello

In the interface and the target data store, you can enter a value in the field of cartography.
For example, if you have a column called year in your target data store and you still want to load FY09, then you would enter "FY09" in the field of cartography

    See you soon

  • Essbase on Sun Solaris 64 bit 11.1.2.1 CDF

    Hi gurus

We downloaded e-mail essbase cdf of the RTO
    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/indexes/SampleCode/Essbase-sample-522117.html

We need to create a directory of the udf and unzip the content at the following location
    / Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1/products/Essbase/EssbaseServer/java

Once this is done, we need save the function using the supplied MaxL.

Has anyone used this before cdf?

    Thank you
    Maury

The process should be pretty much as described under "How do you install a CDF?" at http://essbaselabs.blogspot.co.uk/2009/06/kaleidoscope-2009-top-5-essbase-cdf.html

CDF to place in - /EPMSystem11R1/products/Essbase/EssbaseServer/java/udf
Update of udf.policy, registry functions, restart essbase.

    See you soon
