ODI importing multiple files

Hello

I have 3 possibilities of use (corresponding to 3 places) who put every day to a location on disk 3 files with the same data (sales). The files are named:
Sales_Loc1_24052008.txt
Sales_Loc2_24052008.txt
Sales_Loc3_24052008.txt
where 24052008 is the date of export.

I need to import files of every day all that 3 in a table in Oracle.

Thanks for your suggestions

Kind regards
Gabriel

Hello

It has more than one option for that.

A simple is:

(1) create a variable of the ODI

(2) create a data store for one of the files (I assumed that all txt has the same physical structure)

(3) in the name of the resource to the data store, write the name of the variable (such as: #YOUR_PROJECT_CODE.your_variable)

(4) create a package

(5) and drag the variable and the interface of 3 times each package.

(6) each instance variable defined the name of txt.

(7) create the stream as: variable - OK---> Interface - OK---> OK - variable---> Interface - OK---> variable---> Interface

It's an easy way to do it.

As an alternative, you can work with 3 settings, one for each file and run the interface once for each context.

This help you?

    Hi all

I'm working on a project that requires me to import batches of psd (about 300-400 PSD) files. now when I import PSD files, I have to click all the dialog boxes appearing individually seeking to import the PSD as all merged layers or as sequences.

now, I have to click 'ok' to all these Photoshop PSD.

are there not in a way where I can import all Photoshop PSD with the same settings applied to all?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Unfortunately, the answer is no: one at a time.

Just curious as to why psd to 300-400?

  • Import multiple files.

    Hi all

Using elements 13 on mac I am trying to import 20,000 photos which is currently organized in a folder structure based on the date of the year and import, and key words. Some pictures are in my structure more of once - for example in the original import file and folder 'best of the year' or better ' holiday XXX ". Problem is - elements will not accept this and apparently accepts that each image once. My Nikon gives the number of photos up to 9999 and start again: it seems that the items do not accept that (not quite sure if).

I know that I can use keywords and albums, but after using a lot of software over the years, I prefer this simple method that 'never' even if I change software - well never to what elements. Someone know a solution to this (other that to rename all the files - am I looking for a large number of files).

Thanks a lot and Happy Easter

Yes, the elements does not "duplicates". Have duplicates is a consequence of the use of a hierarchy of file based. With a catalog built around a database, you must never create duplicates. This is the main disadvantage of a hierarchical structure. And now the duplicates soon becomes unmanageable.

You can use keywords and albums. Your keywords can be in a hierarchy, but you can also work by combining multiple keywords without knowing their hierarchies. Albums are like "playlists", they are simple sorted lists of files. You can include the same file in several albums: do not create a duplicate, the albums link to the same file.

No problem with the elements: you can have duplicates of file names, the test double, is that duplicates the same date_taken size and the file in KB.

As explained above, renaming alone would not work elements would recognize real duplicates except if you change the file size or date-taking.

You cannot duplicate an organization catalog and database with a database with a simple folder hierarchy.

  • Workflow for multiple files .psd to enter the first form of layers - CC 2015

I need to import multiple files (30 +) Photoshop in first and keep the layers intact (for the basic animation).  I started to put in yesterday and someone, please tell me that there is a better workflow!

Here is what happens... I do a sandbox for images and make sure it is open (for all files go).  I go into the media browser and select the file (by selecting several files do not work - nothing happens).  I import that a TI asks if I want to merge layers.  I say 'no' and it is important the .psd as a new bin in my Sandbox to images and * open * the new bin.  I then click on the new tray to close, and then click on disable the tray (so the next file will not go in the bin).  Can I import, say 'no' to merge the layers, he brings as a new bin and * opens both * bins.  You see where I'm going with this, right?  Every time I have import a .psd must make the same choice to merge not (I couldn't find a preference to change it anywhere) and, if that weren't enough boring no, ALL .psd locations open when a new file is imported and so I have to manually, click to close them all before I can import another file.

How many clicks does take to get to the center of a Photoshop file?  A heck of a lot more than I want to click!

Is it possible to set the preference always import a .psd in layers?  And if not (I will file an application as soon as POSSIBLE) is it possible to prevent the .psd bins to open all the time?  It took me half an hour just click to get all of my images in.  It's not cool!

Import PSD is one at a time, I'm afraid.

  • AE CC import multiple JPEG files as a sequence/MOV

Hi - I just upgraded to AE CS6 CC on a 2013 MBP with OS 10.8.4

I usually import raw files for the work of time, for this sequence but I captured JPEG images.  Command-I to import window and I chose all ACCEPTABLE FILES, formats JPEG and checked the SEQUENCE.  The problem is that when I select ALL the JPEG files in the folder, the STRAIN box disappears and multiple SEQUENCES is the box...

Also the IMAGES dropdown is grayed out.

I want to import JPEG images as images but they import as individual files.

How to make JPEG images a JPEG sequence or sequences/mov?

    Thank you

Simply select an image. That's the thing.

  • Import multiple Camera RAW files?

    Hello

This is my first post. I tried to import multiple Camera RAW files in After Effects, but before loading each image in the After Effects project requires you to click through to the Camera Raw adjustment window for each image.

Is there a way to disable this window popping Camera RAW after each image to prevent the tedious task of manually click through each window?

    Thank you

    David

Yes, that is how it is supposed to work. AE has no way to know that you want to apply the same settings to each image, because it would make the image raw whole import capacity loss of functionality. AE assumes you want to import raw images because you want to change the world. I guess, too. A classic DSLR image is 3Kx4K pixels these days, 12 million pixels. 1080 Full HD is considered only about 2 million. You are overresolving the format of your production by a factor of 6. You will start to feel that you apply filters and moves. I only use ground full of raw images in the scenes where I know I need the magnification. Otherwise, I'm downconverting to jpg or tiff images that are, for example, 1500 x 2000 pixels for regular sequences.

  • How to import multiple DNG files in first

I want to import several files from a blackmagic 2.5 K camera raw DNG. Each clip is saved in a separate file:

    Screen Shot 2014-04-15 at 12.39.35 p.m..png

I can import each clip separately by selecting the folder and clicking on a DNG file, but - for obvious practical reasons - I would import all planes at once. However, when I try to do, first does not matter the clips. Instead, it is important each folder and inside them, there is not a single element, but also many clips as files DNG aggravated this particular clip. In other words, if the clip had files DNG CENT ONE, first matter this clip ONE HUNDRED times, not once:

    Screen Shot 2014-04-15 at 12.51.29 p.m..png

In this image, each file contains the INTEGER, not only a DNG file clip. Is there a solution for this? Otherwise, the DNG files must be imported one by one, which of course makes the workflow much more difficult.

Hi @Softananda, I have the same problem as you, but I managed to find a more temporary solution which is perhaps useful for you or other users.

You can go into the folder where all your rushes are and simply search for all files that subfolders ending with 00000.dng

This way, you will have all the dng files first of each sequence, and you can move directly to your media in the first pool, where they appear as unique sequences of all your dng files.

For me, it works like a charm.

I hope it's useful for someone.

    Bye!

  • Loading multiple files using the same interface in ODI

    Hi all

We load multiple files using the same interface and get the error "java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" while inserting record in the staging table. It looks like the same temporary table is used when loading multiple files and the error. Grateful if someone offers a solution to avoid this error.
    We use the following KMS:

    (1) LKM SQL file
    (2) IKM Oracle SQL COMMAND append.

  • What is the best way to adjust the brightness in multiple files using elements 13?

    Thank you!

    Thank you!

Simple and powerful: use the ACR (Camera raw).

Depending on the power and the amount of RAM on your computer, you can now open and edit multiple files at the same time in the ACR module.
Use the menu file/open in camera raw.

Select a batch of files (say 20 to begin by)

Select all the files in the camera roll on the left.

When they are highlighted, you will notice that the ACR module shows its AutoCorrect settings. Generally the brightness of your images will already be improved.

The changes you apply to the sliders will change all the images highlighted.

Take advantage of the opportunity to refine all the other sliders made highlights/shadows, clarity, vibrance, sharpening or noise reduction...

    Tip:

What you do in the ACR module do not alter the original jpeg pixels. Only the parameters are saved, which is called parametric edition. So after this editing session, when you save the changes ('Done' button), you are able to reopen the jpeg (it will open automatically in ACR, even from the Organizer). You will be able to start editing with either:

1 - the values of the original jpeg (turn all the sliders to zero, auto or custom in the right panel).

2 - the AutoCorrect default CAB
3 - your latest changes (settings file)
4 - the session settings of most recent edition (which is useful to apply to several image consecutively).

These settings are saved in the jpeg metadata section. No need to create a version set at this stage.

Important: even if you are happy with the automatic settings default to ACR, apply a little change of your choice so that the settings are saved in the metadata section when you click on 'Done '.

You have now edited your first batch. If you use the orgnizer, you might want to "update thumbnails', which show the improvement of brightness in thumbnails. You are ready to make the necessary changes to individual files, such as cropping or sharpening in ACR. Instead of clicking "Done", you can click on 'Open' to open the file in the Editor (you can change in 8 or 16-bit). You must go into the editor to apply other changes as layers, local adjustments. you use the editor to register in any other format file or print.

For the next batch, the mounting parameters are available in the dropdown to the right (previous conversion). Open files, highlight all, select previous conversion, click 'Done '. Wait for the settings to be saved in jpeg files.

In a situation where you have 100 files JPEG, the workflow that the above is by far the fastest and most flexible you can use. Imagine you have a white balance bad setting of your camera, you can imagine the time you need by editing individual files in the editor?

  • Select multiple files - Lr 3.5

Anyone know what must be corrected to allow me to select multiple files using SHIFT key?  It does not work for me.

If it's just in the import dialog box?

Do the shift-click to select multiple photos and then put a check mark in the check box for one of them and it will add the check mark for the other selected photos.

  • Rename and change the date of the file on multiple files

How to rename multiple files in pictures in a single operation like I did in iPhoto? The same question arises to change the filedate?

I looked in the manual very rudimentary, and it seems to have disappeared. I think that pictures is a gradient iPhoto (I don't want to use a program with no future updates) and I'm not happy to trust pictures/iPhoto to archive all 18100 photos and videos in a single file which from time to time a photo or two disappears (will not help to repair the database file)

I started using Adobe elements 14 Organizer to keep track of my files in a folder of my choice where my photos is located a file for each photo a week (feel safe) and Adobe Photoshop elements 14 to change files. He has a solution for my answers mentioned here, I have not found better (I tried AcdSee pro for mac but it is pretty unstable and limited in options)

Come on Apple we give a new Photos with option not reinforced this low quality low option software

You can't and you couldn't have in iPhoto, either - no change is possible for file names or file dates in a program

Given that you want to not use pictures you have made the right choice - do not use in it, use a software you like - the software you use is your choice and you can change at will - but it is crazy to expect that Apple or someone else will change the software used and loved by millions just to meet your personal wishes

And clearly, you have no idea how works same Photos - but because you don't like it don't is really no reason for you or for someone to try to explain it to you - just for a simple example - Photos put everything into one large file - it stores each photo in its own file using the same exact file used by each program Amc system including organizing Adobe

You have made the right choice for you to use and enjoy - don't know why you even bother to post here
