Off U2713H is not detected through DP cable

Hello

computers tΘlΘcharger what is called EDID attached poster to get some info on resolutions of possible screen, frequency modes, color, etc. EDID usually is accessible also when the monitor is turned off - the necessary power is supplied by the graphics card via the connection cable.

With a monitor on the computer can get EDID properly DL DVI - D and DP cable.

With a monitor turned off the computer can only get EDID via DL DVI - D cable.

When I use the cable of the RFP, no monitor is detected during startup of the computer. It does not help to turn on my U2713H or re - connect cable from DP. The only solution is to restart the computer when the LCD is on.

My setup: nVidia GTX 750 Ti, Arch Linux, updated nVidia drivers.

Is this a known limit U2713H cannot condition EDID data via cable of the RFP, when the LCD is turned off? Could it be solved via the firmware update?

Could it be solved via the firmware update?

  • Does not detect the hdmi cable more (very specific scenario)

    Well then...

Got a monitor 15-HD to hdmi cable and a mac laptop (13 in the retina).

So when I got all that I put it all together and it worked. I left because there a little bit, everything is plugged in and did not return for some time, so my mac fell asleep at the time wherever I went. Disconnected everything to relax on the couch. I went back and all plugged together again except that now the mac does not detect the cable. Tried a bunch of things with it. Restart, unplug the unit, detection manually, etc...

Since the monitor is used and recently purchased cable, I thought time to them to test first. Got a laptop PC and plugged into the cable. The monitor and cable worked.

Tried to connect my mac to the TV with my ps4′s hdmi since I did that a lot before. Also works.

The problem is literally the combination between the cable and the mac. Which is a problem since I got the reason was to serve as my mac.

During my research, I saw that specifically leaving the connected hdmi where sleeps your laptop can spoil it supposed to be... I saw it one time so idk if it's true, but it happened to me... and no, it wasn't really a solution when I came across that. Tried Googling this specific problem, but did not meet anything since my problem seems so specific.

Fast forward to the next day and tried again now that both had little respite between them. Plugged into the HDMI and my laptop starts fading and return to a black screen. The screen would go black usually and so the laptop screen and the monitor would appear once again. sauf_que this time that there not, he just kept it and the monitor has not changed (Yes) it's). Not wanting to let him do that too long I unplugged and tried a different port with an adapter, I have also, since I did 3 holes I could use this for might as well try them all again. But unfortunately, I don't have it trigger anything again. So I went through another round of troubleshooting to try to make it work, but here I am, trying to see if anyone else has had this problem and solved. I am back to wait another day I guess and just hope. If not idk what to do, except maybe to get another cable? I don't know if this would solve it well.

  • Drive external DRIVE not detected (2 PCs), after turning off the PC during the error checking

I ran properties/tools/error-check on a (regularly used to back up this PC XP) external HARD drive. After 2 days, error checking was still running and not even 1/3 way 4th Phase but I need PC. It was not possible to stop "Error Check" from the dialog box then I tried Task Manager/Applications, which said that nothing worked, so I turned off the PC.

When I restarted the PC, external HARD disk was not in my computer. Control Panel of configuration/addition does not see it no more. However, when I plug / unplug the station. HDD USB cable, the computer makes a noise and is also recognized in "Device safely Shut Down" as a USB storage device mass (but no drive letter). I tried to start/run/Cmd/Diskpart/List Disk and it is not listed.

What USB connection?  There is no "monitor" for this Dell Monitor USB connection.  The USB connection is a USB hub built into the monitor for other devices.  You must select one of the following values: DP, HDMI or mini-DP.

I'm sitting on my right now uses a new MacBook Pro computer w/Retina.  It is connected via the Thunderbolt port to a Dell U2715H using the connection of the RFP at the back.  No problem at all.  I used this type of connection for the most recent years (previously an old MacBook Pro, 2011 model).

  • CD drive is missing or not detected

Good if I did a lot of research through forums on this problem already, none of the advice has helped me. But there is also another factor involved in my problem so I thought I should talk about my experience. I hope someone can give me some advice.

First of all, I have a HP Pavilion dv9700. I often play the Sims 3 on my laptop. Which means every day. My laptop has overheating problems, so I bought a stand with a fan in her lap. It helps somewhat but not completely. So sometimes my computer shuts off when it overheats and I think that the reason my CD player does not work is related to it somehow. I played the Sims 3 on my computer and of course, it has overheated and it just stopped on me. When I went to turn on of course I had to restart the Sims. Well, it was not as simple as that. Whenever I tried to load the Sims he would say something in the sense of "Cannot start game when already played" - something like that. Once, he actually does not play for me, but my computer is hot so I turned off and when I tried to play again it woudn't work. Since then, I have tried everything to fix my drive, none of the work methods suggested for me and when I run the fix of Mr. program he can't help either, it just says that my CD drive is missing or not detected. I am so at a loss for what to do. And I know that a lot of people have this problem, but I thought that my situation may be other factors involved. If all the tips that can help me are greatly appreciated!

    Hello

Clogged or blocked vents? The internal fan is working correctly? Doesn't look like
everything is as it should be in the Department of ventilation. Clean as much as possible, and even if it's awkward
Try a good fan blowing through the vents as a test. This should be very telling. If the internal fans
are not all work as they should, or the ventilation openings are blocked, then a whole or several parts of
the device can get too hot and either acting strangely or stop completely.

Help for the problem of CD/DVD but the heat might indeed be the main cause of the issue.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

  • Time Machine (on Mac) does not detect the airport Time Capsule

Originally posted on the page of the airport, but seems to be the better question for this group. Sorry for the double post

Looking for advice on how to get the Time Machine utility for access to my Time Capsule. I use an iMac in late 2012 with MAC OS 10.12 TimeCapsule is 2015 7.7.7 running latest firmware. Airport utility is the latest firmware 6.3.7.

When I run the application Time Machine, Time Capsule is not detected. I tried the two WiFi and with cables connected Ethernet (not tried USB yet) and my Time Capsule doesn't have a lightning bolt or firewire ports.

Open Airport utility & see the airport time capsule. I can see all connected devices, including the MAC, but no prompt activation Time Machine on the Time Capsule.

I recently used TM on this iMac with a G-Technology drive. It auto detects the time machine and executes a back up. But airport Time Capsule will not.

    Any suggestions?

Sierra has been problematic with the TC.

    1. make sure you don't have any charge virus protection software. In fact, I would say that disable all software 3rd part at the moment.

    2. make sure that you can actually write to disk of TC.

Attach the TC disc in the finder and copy a file on disk, you can delete it later... It's just to ensure that you have full write permission. If it does not for the most part, you won't be able to use Time Machine... If you can then try TM immediately...

Just to be clear, the TC is a network device. You have tested with ethernet and wireless... Ok.. They are only suitable methods. You cannot use USB. And clearly, TC has never had nor will never be ports Firewire or lightning.

    3. no chance that a reset complete TC. This will not delete the files on the hard drive, but you must make sure that the device is configured on the current computer.

    4. There are many positions in these days... read through them and do some research. Sierra is a bleeding edge new... So wait you to spend a lot of the precious liquid if you choose to be an early adopt.

  • Qosmio G10-133 - battery not detected after upgrading to Windows 7

Hello, I hope someone can help my frustrations here.

In recent weeks, I successfully upgraded my laptop to Windows 7, an increase of memory to 2 GB, bought new power cord for laptop, new battery and resolved all the issues that Windows 7 has cast on me. The laptop and runs like one dream other than a question that seems to have had worse.

The laptop no longer recognizes the new battery. (battery with a cross through it and a photo of current) For about a week after installing the battery, this has worked fine but now does not detect everything. I don't have any errors in Device Manager and windows recognized the ACPI etc battery inputs and has no problem. I also loaded the package of Toshiba value added that Windows 7 has found for me but still nothing. Battery not charge even though sometimes the battery works for about 30 seconds to start up if the battery is back removed and implemented, then stops again (once Windows loaded) I tried many things like the disabling of the driver, reinstall battery etc, but nothing. I tried the iniitally of battery with Windows XP and worked well.

I have also searched the web and saw that many other laptops with Windows 7 have had this problem, including Toshibas. Some say update the BIOS, but Toshiba have not released an upgrade from the original in 2004 (which is for WIn XP Media Center), and there is no settings in my BIOS for ACPI etc.

In addition, I can not calibrate the battery because I can't do anything with it. I don't think it's a question though.

If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it or all the links to the drivers etc.

If this is sorted my laptop should last for 5 years!

    Thanks for reading this.

    Dickie

    Hello

First of all, I doubt that many other laptops equipped with Windows 7 have this problem. I've never heard of this and normally charge the battery will not be controlled of the OS. It happens automatically and your battery will be charged if the AC/DC is plugged. If the OS doesn't affect it!

To be honest, I also don t know why your battery isn't detected, but what happens if you turn off the laptop and let the AC/DC adapter plugged in for 24 hours? After that, it should be possible to work on the minute of the battery for 1 hour or more.

If this isn't the case, it seems to be a hardware problem, maybe the battery doesn t work correctly and should be replaced. You should contact the retailer where you bought

By the way: some nice and interesting tips on battery:

  • Toshiba A300 PSAGCE battery not detected

    Hello everyone.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 (PSAGCE) which worked well since I. Recently, he showed "battery not charging". I went to see what I could do and someone advised that I should update the BIOS. So, I went to the website of Toshiba and downloaded the update for my BIOS. I have install without problem. He now has the version 2.20. The problem of "battery not charging" had disappeared.

I had a new problem: battery not detected!

The battery worked well and he gave me 2 hours of normal use. Now, it is not "detected". I did everything I could think of. Do you have the BIOS reset (pressing on the WE / OFF button / stop for 30 seconds), I left it with the battery for a few days, etc...

When I connect the battery, it shows an orange light for 5 seconds and he died later. I don't know what more I can do. I contacted Toshiba in my country without success. They have not yet responded to my email.

Any ideas? I tried with another charger than computer shows the same.

I have install as a program of "batterycare.net" and it shows that I have 1.40 hours of battery, but as soon as I remove the cable ca, the computer shuts down without power.

I guess I won't be needing help... I flashed my BIOS with a lower version that I had (2.20 > 1.80) and now it does not start even upward.

I'm kidding not things for good.

    Any changes to save it?
