  I recently bought a new 'fat' in Thailand.  It cost me about 600 U.S. Dollars and this is unlocked.  I used my SIM from the Philippines who wandered in time and was able to send a text message, so I guess it works OK.  I have a few questions, however.

  The Unit came with a Vodafone logo, and the manual is in German.  There is also a flash start page that says Vodaphone.  I guess I can download a manual on the Blackberry site.  Anyone have a quick link to such a download?

  Second, the software supplied with the unit disk is defective.  I must have damaged it because it has a scratch and will not work.  Cannot read the files on the disk.  I noticed a version 4.7 with support tools available for download on the site Web of Blackberry.  What is the equivalent of what's on the disc that came with the phone?

  In some cases, it was discovered that updates/install (from got AppWorld apps) require additional steps in order to install the update. If the update will not install, please try this:

  1. Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications > highlight the app > BBKey > delete
  2. AppWorld > MyWorld > Login > highlight the app (if she shows at all, in any State) > BBKey > delete

  Hello world.  I searched this morning all, but can't seem to find this specific problem.

  I recently bought a BB Bold 9000 after using a Curve 8310 for the past two years.  Love it and I know my way around it fairly well.  I woke up this morning to my usual alarm notify, (one of the Stewart Copeland ones).  After that, I heard an unusual sound one note of piano from my phone.  It was a notifier that I found was now linked to my Blackberry push email account somehow.  I went in this particular profile and tried to restore, but now when I open the drop ringtones and filers, even those fly produced the same notifier its one - ton ding-ding-ding piano and not the variety of sounds of BB that are loaded onto the phone.  Now, it seems to do this for all profiles.  My wife phoned to see if phone was intact and it has been.  However, her ringtone is a custom tone

  Help!  How can I get my sound back?  They are corrupt, or is it only the case of a glitch?  I have the 4.6OS loaded.

  It looks like to of the LED high output intensity. It could very well be a battery problem, but if the problem persists with the connected device or with a different battery, it's most likely a bad flash led or an electrical problem on the motherboard.
