Office Enterprise 2007 installation on a XP Pro machine problems

After reboot, I have disabled all programs (including virus protection) and made sure nothing runs.  When I run the setup of Office Enterprise 07 and enter my code of the key, the installation begins normally.  About 3/4 of the way on the progress bar, the installation stops.  After the removal of the entry of the software being installed in the registry (recommended in another response), I try again the installation.  This time, it can happen at the end of the bar but not finished.  I can see the apps in the Solution Explorer, but they will not launch.  Tried everything I can think of several times.  Any ideas?

Bought Win Office Enterprise 2007 in April 2007, by Student Media Applications (at U Illinois Champaign, rather than student computer) and it won't let me activate the version that came with my Toshiba NB 305 netbook. How can I activate it. I mean when I repeatedly to enter the key correctly, it says that it is incorrect. Thank you.

    Hello Dave108,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

Please see the information on the link from Microsoft Office, on how to install on a netbook.
But you will need to uninstall the trial version of the Office of your netbook. Then you will have
be able to activate your copy of the retail sales.

    I hope this helps.

  • Office Enterprise 2007 - usage restrictions

Is Office enterprise 2007 limited number of PC and versions of windowns i.e. XP and 7

    Hello urang,.

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

Office Enterprise 2007 is available for Volume Licensing customers. Where did you get your key to Business Office that you have currently installed on your computer at home? If you have already installed on a computer running Windows XP, you can not use the same key on a Windows 7 computer. Therefore, you will need to check with your administrator and get another license key for activation on Windows 7 computer.

  • Microsoft Office Professional 2007 installs each time

I bought Office Professional 2007 and installed on my Dell laptop.  Whenever I start one of the Office products, I get the message "preparing to install" then "Please wait while Windows configures Office Professional 2007". "  I uninstalled all Office products and computer, then re-installed Office.  Still the same problem. It's frustrating.  Any ideas how to fix?

    Hello world.

First of all, through qualification, I am a gifted amateur with no great levels of knowledge of MS, but someone with some experience of this problem.

I had a similar problem with MS Office Small Business 2007 on a Dell Studio 1555 laptop.

In the end, after much trial and error, we have deleted the version of MS Works, which comes pre-installed on Dell laptops and the "Please wait while Windows configures Office Small Business 2007" stop immediately appear.

The other interesting behavior was that when I chose one of the Office applications that Dell people call the "dock" - a contextual menu usually located at the top of the screen: the message set up never appeared.

Yesterday, I installed Office 2007 SP2 and the message reappeared. Once more, the message appears only if I try and open the Office application in the start menu, quick launch or desktop. If I select the Office application from the dock, it works normally.

So my suggestion as a short-term solution until that Dell and Microsoft are working on the problem:

    * Uninstall SP2 if cela which caused the problem
    * Remove MS Works if it is still on your Dell PC
    * Try to select the Office application from the dock instead of start menu, desktop or quick launch area

    Hope that helps someone!

  • Microsoft office Enterprise 2007 encountered an error during installation

I got the error in the title of this but no other errors.  None of the KB articles was relevant.

I fixed it by deleting everything related to the Microsoft Office Document Converter that allowed me to open docx and xlsx files.

I uninstalled Microsoft Office Document Converter, but who do not have, so I had to use the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to remove it.
I deleted the whole program leader/Microsoft Office/12, 0.  In my case, there was some stuff of Visual Studio that I left in place.
I also deleted the keys in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\ which ended in 01FEC (for example 000021091A0090400000000000F01FEC) that were related to Office 2007 (thanks to McTheNite)

Is this a new computer? If so, is there a trial version of Office 2007 is installed? If you find my answer helpful, please click the button "Vote as helpful"! Thank you! My Blog

  • Outlook 2007 (Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007) w/Windows 7 Home Premium

I have a new PC w/Windows 7 Home Premium (e9280t) desktop and I loaded Office 07 Enterprise on this. Set up my Outlook with no other problems that I couldn't get a connection encrypted to the server so I had to go not encrypted. I picked up my mail from the server (my ISP is Verizon) without any problem. I tried to send an e-mail to my desk at work and he would not, saying that I had to check the header. I have checked and tried again without success. I have not any send/receive error codes. I kind of let it slide because I had to go to work and then I left for a weekend trip and so I forgot what kind of topic. Last night I tried to retrieve my mail and I get "Unknown error" 0 x 80040600. I searched on line and found that it has to do with the corrupted in my personal folder .pst files. The solution was to go to the Inbox Repair tool and run a scanpst.exe on the suspicious files. First of all, the solutions on the Microsoft online help page are for users of Vista or XP. I typed "scanpst.exe in the area of research, but '0' products were found. I finally understood where the scanpst.exe but did not know how to perform the task. I do not understand how I could have corrupted files in my personal file right out of the box. These files have been corrupted from the Office disc? I desperately need my Outlook that I hate the Webmail. For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Managed to find the Inbox Repair tool and it took about 10 seconds for the tool to repair the file.

  • Far Cry installation on 64 bit Vista machine problems

I have a 64 bit vista (SP1) computer.  I have "Far Cry". I have a lot of speed, memory, and all that. When I start the installation process, I get the error "run setup32.exe on windows 32-bit or setup64.exe on 64-bit windows!". There is no "setup64.exe' on the disk. I tried to run in compatibility mode XP but that does not make a difference. I was on the site of the manufacturers and they seem to be something that corresponds to this topic. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
    Thank you
    DJ

    Hello

The error, run setup32.exe on 32-bit windows, or setup64.exe on 64-bit windows is because the setup .exe is does not correspond with the vista 64-bit operating system.

No doubt during the installation of the game, he must use the file setup32.exe.

I suggest you search the setup64.exe the disk file.

If you are not able to find, then suggests to replace the disk. There are several sites and it is for the manufacturer.
