Office ENVY 700-500Z: wireless keyboard

I have bought a desktop keyboard and mouse wireless HP computer. I have a LENOVO laptop in use with a Microsoft outlook account. This PC was bought in Taiwan that use Chinese characters. The key board is capable of Chinese. It uses Chu in symbols.

Now I have created my new HP PC with the same account number for Microsoft. Everything is OK for most of the looks.

When you start the new PC, user name, password and the lock screen are the same as my laptop.

That's the problem. When I type on the keyboard of the HP pc (wireless) he came Chinese symble Chu, but no alphabet.

Very few people use different terms 2 PC, someone has an idea?

I know keyboad switched canbe alphabet of the Chu of.

But when I swiched to alphabet, the keyboard works differently like normal alphabet Board.

I went on the computer Panel and reset the assignment of the language and keyboard.  It is running okay now.

Now, I know that the key on the keyboard can be changed.

PeerOne thank you for your response to my question.

  • HP Envy 700-500z: Question about wi - fi antenna tower for the wi - fi signal booster

    Hello

I bought a wi - fi turn antenna to boost my wireless signal so I can use my Tablet outdoors during the summer.  The instructions provided with the said Tower if the computer has built in wi - fi or wireless card, do not install the antenna tower software becauce it could cause a conflict.

It was suggested to me that I could either turn off the card go in BIOS or go to network and sharing Center and change the settings of the map, right click on wireless icon, select Disable.  In this way, I could safely install the antenna tower software and use antennas to boost my wireless signal.

I live in the mountains of NE PA, in a pretty remote area.  'Hot spots' are so rare.  I have no Internet DSL but the signal is not strong enough to reach my Tablet if I should be on the outside.  Even in one of the rooms, the signal is not all that strong.  So it would be great help for me, if I could push my wi - fi at least in the immediate area outside my house.

Could someone tell me if the network settings can be sure to do, or I would return just the antenna of the tower.  I will not go into the BIOS because I fear of seriously harming my computer by doing this.  But a simple change in network settings, I'm pretty confident that I could.

    Thank you

    Sandra Knapp

    Hello Dave,

Yes, I suppose I could do that, last spring, they have installed a new router and told me that he would have a stronger signal for wi - fi, but it did not help me using my Tablet out on the patio at all.  I couldn't get a signal here, nothing at all.  So I have a feeling they don't have anything stronger, but I could ask.

    Thank you for suggesting that.

  • Want to 700-230: how to access the BIOS on machine with wireless keyboard and no keyboard on the PC port

    Hi all

I have a HP Envy 700-230 which has a wireless keyboard

How am I supposed to access the BIOS that the keyboard drivers are not loaded until after the machine and there is no normal keyboard connects on this PC for a wired keyboard

With this kind of computor how am supposed to access the BIOS

Obviously to start the reports a keyboard error and suggest I press ESC to access the BIOS that I can't because at startup, there is no current keyboard.

Thanks for any help on this.

    Jeanette

While not a definitive answer, but try a wired USB keyboard instead wireless.  There may be a setting in the BIOS to change the way the keyboard interacts at the start but, of course, you need to enter the BIOS.  Looking at the other comments on this issue, if you happen to have a keyboard PS/2 and a PS/2 to USB adapter, then this seems to be a better choice.  Plug the PS/2 on the PS/2 keyboard to USB adapter and then try that at startup to access the BIOS.  Then, find the setting to allow the keyboard to be recognized at startup.  Another solution is to move the USB port, the wireless keyboard use.  If the rear ports, move forward, if forward move backward.

Let me know if one of these help.

  • -USB - HP ENVY PC Desktop 700-074 wireless receiver

Buy HP ENVY 700-074 Desktop PC. I carefully unpacked and configuration system.

Mouse and wireless keyboard does not work.  I checked and rechecked for a wireless receiver in the package. No not found.

Is it possible that I'm missing a USB receiver or is it a built-in feature?

Called the best buy. Apparently no USB receiver not packed with the mouse and keyboard.

I had a HARD drive crash and cannot enter the bios as the machine has wireless keyboard and touch screen. The USB ports seem to work and I have a light on my USB to RS232 device.  I did pulg a USB keyboard and hit the F10 key at startup and still no change. Make a bootable disc after Microsofts statement and it seems wook, but with a screen can't confirm that.

I bought the HP Envy 700-229C at Costco in Vancouver, British Colombia in late June of this year and now I found that my wireless keyboard SK-2061 model does not work very well as most of the time I keep typing, but many words does not top, or very slow to appear, I thought that can be exhausted batteries then I replaced with new rechargeable batteries a few times, it has not improved for medium muchwhich same problem occurred.

This worked well enough from July until mid-August, but after that, the problem happened as mentioned. Since my office the total value is still under warranty, can you please confirm if you will get a new functional keyboard soon or what.

  • HP Envy 700: Cannot find wifi password

    Hello

    I have two questions:

1: I have an HP Envy 700 office and I am connected to the internet via an ethernet cable.  It seems that my computer has built in because it gives me a wifi network name, but when I try to open it, I need a password and I never remember having a password! I made Diagnostics and tried to find the password on my PC but not luck. Any ideas on how to get my password or reset it?

2: is it possible to have two wifi and always use a cable ethernet on my PC? I would use the WiFi from my PC with new smart tv that I just bought, so I can broadcast shows.

    Thanks for any help!

    Hello

    1. you need to connect to your wireless router to know what is the password, OR you can reset your router and start over again.

Router must have a tiny hole and you can use a paper clip to reset. Plase to consult its manual.

    2. Yes, you can use BOTH at the same time.

    Kind regards.
