Office XP Firefox tab on the Google home page, computer laptop HP Win7 not! I need Firefox Orange tab. Help! 1
I used Google to my home page. Google went to Google +. I'm not interested. When I opened my Google home page, empty of course, on my HP laptop, Win7, I do not see the top left orange tab that allows me to do "good things". On top of my office, Win XP, I can still see the orange tab. Why is it different? I really need this Orange tab a top left. This is the portal of many features that I use. Thank you!
Please ensure that you have not enabled the menu bar.
This can be done:
- Right-click in an empty tab bar area
- Bar menu uncheck the menu drop-down
You are referring to the Firefox button, correct?

Google links redirect to the Google home page, not the link itself.
Not all the time, but most of the time, I search something, get my results from google and then click on one of the links to be taken to the homepage of google. The button is disabled. So I search again, try again, and yet once I get redirected to the google home page. This time the works of the "back" button, but only to take me back to the last incarnation of the google home page. What is going on?? It's very frustrating, and new since I upgraded to 6 FF.
Turning off HTTPS everywhere for google services fixed this problem for me.

Mozilla browser with the Google home page has 2 toolbars under the bookmarks that are empty bar

Hi, try clicking on settings by default, as shown in the controls, buttons, and Toolbars Customize Firefox.
If that does not do it, try Mode without failure of Firefox to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:
- Click the menu button
click Help
then select restart with disabled modules.
If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:
- On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
- On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
- On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."
If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.
When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

I think it might be linked to the entry, because the buttons disappear and the buttons normal 'symbol' turns into words instead.

I want to put all new tabs open to the Google home page, is it possible?
If Google is already set as your only home page, you can try Middle-click or CTRL + left - click on the Home icon to open the home page in a new tab.
Or, you can install this add-on to open the page you choose the time by clicking the new tab or by clicking on the Firefox button > new tab > new tab: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/newtaburl/
- After installation and restarting Firefox, set the options for this add-on: Modules > Extensions, click Options next to this add-on

Help would be appreciatedFirefox is a web browser, not a homepage.
Looks like you have the old www.google.com/firefox/ start page to be the default home page in Firefox before Firefox 4.0 sometime. It is not maintained by Google more so either ignore the message or while in Firefox, go to tools-> Options-> general-> home page section and change your home page.

Why the shortcut for Pogo on my desktop to open my google home page?
I don't know why the shortcut on my desktop is no longer open Pogo. Now the yahoo home page opens when I click on pogo. What can I do to fix this?
Hello
Right-click on the icon for pogo on your desktop
Choose Properties
Make sure that you are on the shortcut tab
Next to the "target" there is a storage location of the executable file.
For pogo games, it is: C:\ Program PopCap Games\ (the game you are trying to play)
Enter the full destination and the ".exe" in the location target file and the shortcut should work fine.
You can also go to the folder above, locate the '.exe' file and right click and choose "send to" and then "desktop (create shortcut).
