OfficeJet 4630: right side of cut printscreen image. Normal in print preview.

Help please. New Office jet 4630 for a month. All fine until today. Paste a picture of 'print' Screen in the text in a Word document.

Page and image, normal looked on screen and in print preview before printing, but when mode about 25% of the image has been cut (along the right side), while the text that surrounds it normally - prints and the text is "wider" than the embedded image.

No new software installed recently. Changed no settings on the PC or on the printer and specifically no changes to the display settings for Word, or 'page', 'margins' etc. etc. * nothing at all changed before this problem arose.

Removed and reinstalled printer quintuple - download from the HP site, also tried CD supplied with your printer, try USB and tried to wi - fi. Tried several pages with different print screen images from different sources, Norton anti-virus up-to-date. Ran HP Print & Scan Doctor three times - said that everything is normal.

How can I sort this please? He drives me crazy...

Thanks if you can help.

A few ideas (based on recent versions of Word)

Assuming that you have a copy saved the image in one of your folders:

  • Open the Word document > remove the image of the Word (right click and cut) document
  • To add this image, use Insert (as opposed to paste / copy)
  • Right-click on the Image and adjust the size and Position
  • Click on the Image and adjust the horizontal position on the page

  • Assuming that you don't print on A4 paper, you can stop the next parameter (at least temporarily).  The setting is normally useful; It can change how the document print as opposed to the way it is presented on the screen.

In Microsoft Word > open document > file > Options > Advanced >

Under Print

Uncheck the content of scale for A4 or 8.5 X 11 "paper sizes

Ok

Independent, may be of interest:

  • The best image quality, verify / confirm the following setting is in place:

CHECK Do not compress the images in the file

Ok

  • Control to make sure the gutter is not affected on the side on which the image is 'cut '.  Gutter is used to adjust the margins for notebook or giving way to the hole (for paper be placed in a binder).  If you are not currently using a binding option in your print output, you can adjust the tray away from the side and place it on the 'top '.  Note that this setting is not likely to affect the impression if not the liaison / booklet are selected when submitting print.

In Microsoft Word > open document > file > Print > Page layout > margins

If the print set by the printer area is in conflict with your margins of game, things can get weird.

You can switch from portrait mode landscape to adjust to the page on a wider width.

Some users find it faster to copy and paste just the party concerned in a word-processing program, but often some of the styling is lost in the process.

Some pages add their own margin to the minimum margin that is defined in the configuration of the Page. First of all, you could reduce the margin here:

Alt + f (display the classic file menu) > Page Setup > margins & header/footer tab

Second, you can try to use shrink to fit. However, if the image is a background image instead of the part of the content of the page, which is perhaps no effect.

HP trouble shoot said there is nothing wrong and test page prints fine.  Then back to the problem so try to print.

    HI @philg2,

I see your thoughts produce a wide margin left and right of the page is cut off. What program are you printing from, and this occurs when you print from all programs or just a particular program?

I see your post that this is not happening when you print a test page, so I think the problem is somehow related to the driver or program that you use. Let's start with the HP print and Scan Doctor is a free utility (tool) that allows to quickly resolve problems printing, scanning and connectivity, including but not limited to:

    • Connectivity:

USB: Check that the USB connection from your computer to the HP product works properly.

    • Device Status Test: checks the errors of the device, such as paper, paper jams, stands transport and paper issues and provides instructions to resolve the error.

    • Driver: checks the driver missing or corrupt files.

    • Device Manager: check the problems in Device Manager that could prevent printing.

    • Device online: check if the product has been suspended or put in offline and then sets the State back in line if necessary.

    • Print queue: checks and clears pending print jobs in the print queue (a newspaper for printing waiting to print).

    • Port Match: check the port settings for the HP product.

    • Device conflicts: check the conflicts with other drivers, such as the other brands of printers.

    • Ink issues: check the cartridges and the ink levels for issues that affect the print quality.

    • Print settings: check and adjust the print quality settings.

    • Test print: print a test page for the assessment of the print quality and provides options for cleaning and if necessary print head alignment.

    • Scan tests: check the scanning mechanism, drivers, and registry entries.

Source:try the HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows

Click here to download and run the print and Scan Doctor > > www.hp.com/go/tools

If this does not resolve the problem, after back and let me know if there are all the symbols except the Green checkmarks and what they are next of course. The key is not always easy to identify the key and check mart are in the green circle.

    • If you see only the Green checkmarks (), the tool did not find any problem.

    • If you see green sides (), the utility identified a problem and fix it automatically.

    • If you see yellow exclamation points (), the test failed and requires monitoring of the user, but the step was ignored.

    • If you see a red X (), follow the onscreen instructions to fix the problem.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing back on your part.

  • OfficeJet 4630 insufficient for a pdf image

    OfficeJet 4630

When I open a pdf file that was created by the scanner using adf, I get this error, "insufficient for an image" in Adobe Acrobat format.

    Hi chanjackson,

    From the looks of things, this "insufficient for a picture" is about Adobe. I found a few references to validate. Please take a look at the proposed solution, I found;

This problem has been resolved with the latest version of the reader (http://get.adobe.com/reader) now available XI.  Us are actively working on a solution for previous versions and expect to have a fix available for Adobe Acrobat/Reader 10.1.x and 9.5.x in Q1 2013.

Update (January 8, 2013): this problem has now been fixed in the latest updates for Adobe Acrobat and Reader 9.5.3 10.1.5 available on the Adobe site:
    The reader updates

    Workarounds

Change the zoom settings should allow you to see the content of the document.  Try to reduce the Zoom factor, or click on the button to "adapt to a full page in the window.

You can make this persistent change (to avoid change for each document) in Edit > Preferences > Page Display > Zoom > Fit Page.

You can also try saving the PDF file again in Acrobat using the PDF optimizer to optimize the PDF file using Standard parameters, or the PDF of reduced size option.

For those who seek to roll back to a previous version of Adobe Acrobat/Reader to avoid this problem, you can find here archived versions: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/.

Here is the link that I got it from: "Insufficient for an image" error

If the problem persists, I think that the best approach would be to join the Adobe Community

You may want to consider uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe, which might do the trick.

    I hope this helps.
