OfficeJet 6000 software install problem

Hi all

I have messaged HP about this problem but I was wondering if someone here could help.

I just bought an Officejet 6000 as the title. I have installed the software network no problem at all on 3 laptops running Vista, 1 PC under XP and 3 PC running Windows 7.

But in general on MY laptop the software will not be installed:

Setup gets to step 2 and said that it has detected old software, it then crosses on uninstall process and restart the computer to restart Setup starts again comes to the phase 2 says that it has detected older software uninstalls, restarts the computer... and it continues indefinitely.

-There is no HP software in Add/Remove programs on the computer

-J' tried HP scrubbers, the base receives to step 4/5 61% and morality, we get to step 6/11 46% (I think) and then it's there, I left these two running overnight.

-J' had the Virus software, firewall and pop-up blockers

Any help will be very much appreciated, as my knowledge that a user is advanced, but I am not a professional.

Provisionally pending aid

Andy

!!! SORT!

After a few more bother I managed to get the printer to show that it is auto in the control panel network and installed this way... oh so happy

  • OfficeJet 8500 Network Install problems w / router Dlink DIR655

I can't get a Dlink DIR655 router to allow an Officejet 8500 complete installation of the software on the network. In XP, the printer configuration page has verified it is up and running, has an IP etc. I have tried everything I can find on the router and computer, closing firewall, antivirus. change the router settings and enabling except addresses etc. Someone at - it ideas? Work very well etc, Internet network that allows other computers to access the internet.

Thanks for any thougts or help,

    Albie

Thank you for the replies, I solved it and it may be worth to post it here.

Manually, I entered an IP address to match the range of the router, but could not get the software to install, with the help of a technician HP online by plugging directly into the router. Plug on the home network wired, rendering the printer not available online.

Here is some of the best. I just had a connection 2nd broadband ISP of Shaw cable, our television provider and used in this regard to implement this printer. I bought the identical DLink 655 Router I use as a DSL connection if the telephone line. (I wanted a 2nd backup internet and I also wanted to test the speed of 2 services)

Once I lost the printer when connected off the router, I took the router of Shaw in offline mode and plugged the router DSL for the home network. THE PRINTER WORKED PERFECTLY! What a great lesson for a guy who has spent many hours reading and following all possible solutions, he could find!

So for anyone out there that might help, I thought that I post and once again thank everyone for their great posts and help here, as well as responses to me.

Either way, Shaw router started blocking my outgoing email this morning. Another thing, they make for us to send our email out through another address, one of them.

I hope I helped someone along the way.

Best wishes of the season for everyone

  • Install HP Officejet 5740 & USB connection problems

I recently bought a HP all-in-one OfficeJet 5740 printer for my desktop Dell XPS 8700-(Windows 8.1) and attempted to install, using the USB connection option. I was informed by the instructions of configuration to go online to a Dell website for the latest version of the installation software to download if I had access to the internet. I have DL'ed software and it apparently installed OK-(aucune erreur ou quoi que ce soit pour indiquer qu'il n'a pas abouti). Once finished with the installation of the software, I got to the window option connection-(wireless, usb cable ethernet cable). I chose the option of usb cable, however after having to then connect the USB cable to the printer and the computer via the usb cable, it tries to connect, but alerted me, stating; "Failed connection to printer, printer was not able to connect successfully via the usb cable. I tried this several times-(par moi-même et remote assist avec Support ordinateur Dell). I had the same problem last week when he tried with my old HP Officejet 6100, which I wanted to replace. I ran the program of doctor printing/scanning HP on the 5740 and it lists the printer and the software installed, however the HP printer install lists assistant the complete software package for the printer is not installed and some basic features drivers may be missing or damaged. Also when I go into Control Panel, then devices/printers, it displays the icon of 5740, however after rt - by clicking on the printer icon, instead of the regular menu that comes up to the top-(showing the complete properties, select this printer as the default printer, etc.), it displays a menu of smaller selections very-little (who don't understand not the "select as default printer"). I tried downloading the printer software two ways-(via the HP website on line 1, and then click the installation CD supplied with the printer, the same results. The printer was purchased 11/15/2014 and seems works very well-(tirages test-page, page d'alignement, etc.), but I can't print anything, and apparently it can not connect via the USB-(* j'ai acheté un nouveau câble usb 2.0 hier et, utilisé pour écarter la possibilité d'avoir un mauvais câble). My Dell computer is only 10 months old, and I upgraded to 8.1 Windows back on 25 October.  The USB ports on the computer all seem to work properly when connected to another USB device other than the 5740 printer.  What is the software apparently is not fully installed, with some missing drivers or, possibly, USB drivers should be updated? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!!!

Thanks for responding, but I was able to get the printer installed with the help of diagnostic, remotely in line with my computer manufacturer support staff. He was determined to be a software problem because of a recent update of Windows 8.1. Thanks for the effort!

  • Used to install the HP Officejet 4500 software

I am trying to install the software for the HP Officejet 4500 that came with the printer, etc. but it will not install correctly. My copmputer has windows vista 32 bit.

First the software would not install. I received the message toolbox.cab is corrupt and fatal mistake. I also got the message the installation package could not be open contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package

Impossible to install the software I then plugged the printer etc in the computer with a USB cable and a Windows driver installed making the printer minimally usable without the HP software etc.

Then I tried to install the HP software this time the software installed somewhat but strict install the Hp Image instrument functions. Also, I got the only e Hem 2 imaging HelpDir tp software key message: setup\tray Ap could not write value.

I then downloaded the HP diagnostic software and there was the following messages

Could not write value Def Lang Abbrev in key\signature; RegLocator; lnilocator; comploatator

Problem with registration of the device

Some components of the HP away problem with HP Digital Imaging Monitor software

Problem with front panel software detection

Cannot find HP solution center application needed to scan.

Software diagnostic said to uninstall the HP officejet software and reinstall it but Im guessing that will do no good and am worried if I do that it will make the printer unusable etc. without pilot etc..

I am able to scan a bit using old scanning software that came from my old scanner and am able to print some with the windows driver but worry that I won't be able to fax to not use all of the computer to the printer without the HP software, OCR software, am not able to scan directly from the printer etc and do not use the HP scanning software (do not know what are the characteristics that they lack that old software to scan my old scanner has)

How can I get the HP software for work especially the device Image works and if the work habit is that of some other software HP can send me to exercise these functions

  • For officejet 6000 e609n driver not installed

I installed the full driver for Officejet 6000 e609e and windows 7 says not installed with an error code 28 driver for officejet 6000 e609n.

I solved the problem yesterday and posted my solution to 17:25 - my solution is somewhat against HP installation method (I think).  I have a small wireless network and the printer is shared.  Here is my solution, but I would like to thank you for having responded.

It may be wise to reboot before continuing the installation process.

Make sure that your printer is on (on).

Access your installation from a CD, file or elsewhere and starts to run it.

    • Click on 'add a device '.
    • Choose "wireless 802.11 network connection" or one of the other two choices as adapts to your situation.
    • Select your printer by clicking it.

  • Cartridge, HP 920 XL: Wireless HP Officejet 6000, the problem of black ink printer

I have a HP Officejet 6000 wireless printer.  It's 2nd HP 920 XL cartridge that has not worked.  It does not show that it is empty, but it will not be printed.  Our school cannot afford to replace these at this rate.  Please let me know what to do to make this work correctly.

I removed the printer as my default so that I could use another printer.  When I ran the program again to check for problems, the guest asked me to add the printer returned as default.   When I reconnected it the printer as long as my default, I tested the printer and it worked.  Don't know why remove and then add back in the set, but he did.

  • Officejet 6000 printing problems

My Officejet 6000 will not print. The power and light of the resume light blink - normally, this means that there is a paper jam in which there is not. Or that the rollers need cleaning I did. I also cleaned the cartridges where the ink comes out.

Also I tried to unplug the printer and try again without success. When the power is connected, the green light - after a few seconds it starts to blink and the printer goes into his routine of cleaning after this stop the Summary button illuminates and flashes also. I'd love to hear if someone has the same situation and managed to solve it!

Have you removed all paper from the input tray and look in the status bar with a flashlight to make sure nothing is caught in the rollers?

So, did you remove the module front/back/rear access door to make sure that nothing is stuck to the back of the rolls?

I also advise to open the upper part of the printer and remove all of the ink provides unit; including the print head.  Don't you see that anything taken under/the print head Assembly all about?

Hard reset of the printer with the supplies out of the unit:

Unplug the unit when turned on

Disconnect the other end of the power cord from the wall jack directly

    * Wait 30 seconds

    * Plug the unit back to

Once the device is fed up reinstall ink supplies in the printer.  Also check to see if the truck can slide left and right all the way inside the printer by hand.

There is also a document with additional steps found here.  I hope this helps.

  • HP Officejet 6000 Print gray instead of black

    Hello

My HP Officejet 6000 works well for about a year until today, where he began to print light gray instead of black.

My officejet is attached via USB directly to my PC, I'm under Ubuntu 12.04 with gnome shell. Used to work out of the area to print. I just install HPLIP Toolbox to see if I can fix anything, but that was no help. I exchanged the inktank black for a new, but that did not help either one. The gray looks perfect gray and not a faded defective, black dryness. I tried to change the output of color mode in the settings of the printer to the only black than gray, and the printer does not print the necessary ink at all. Is this a software problem? Or printer hardware problem? I tried printing from my laptop and had the same problem.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Problem solved. I got my printer to my friend who has a Windows PC and a test print looked fine. I thought it must be a Linux question then. I have connected my printer to my PC Ubuntu again, and for the hell of it, I tried to print a test page and go figure, it worked. Maybe unplug the printer helped solve the problem? BTW, when I meet my problem, the printer was not actually printing gray instead of black by mixing the inktanks color. I discovered that she did not use the black tank at all. I'm glad that everything works again without having to really fix anything. So if anyone else has this problem, try disconnecting the printer, and then try again. That could be the solution. Turn off the PC one on or the printer doesn't help.

  • OfficeJet 6000: Officejet 6000 'stuck' in the wireless status

After using the printer on a minitour HP with a USB connection for a while, I installed the software on a Thinkpad with a link wireless to a Linksys router. The combination didn't work reliably, so I removed the printer and the laptop software. However, the Officejet seems 'stuck' in a State wireless (blue light on); When I tried a clean reinstall on the minitour (from disk), the installation failed. How can I restore the printer to its out-of-the-box condition and get a clean install with USB connection?

(I thought the Officejet 6000 is a dual-mode device, but it seems to be either / or machine.)

    Price Buhrman

    Hi BuhrmanP,

This is the only information available for this model restore network settings.

This information was given by the manual, page 377. OFFICEJET 6000

I disable all startup programs and temporarily disable the Antivirus software before installing the printer to see if it will help.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 e. problem scanning scanning and Capture App Win 8.1

    OfficeJet Pro 8600 e.  New.

Installed on HP Envy touch 23. Running Windows 8.1.

Wireless set in place. Fine prints.  Problem is the digitization of the HP scanning and capture the software App 8.1 Win

With the help of scanning and Capture App I can scan pictures very well.  They come out clear.  Scanning documents in GRAY has several bands/lines in gray on the entire page vertically running.  Scanning COLOR documents are very good.

Also, if I scan from the printer directly using the touch screen of the printer, the output of scan is fine.

I did the Scan utility to discover any errors and it show everything.  I think it is a software error.  I'm going to uninstall the HP scanning application, and then reinstall.  So, I'll do the uninstall/reinstall and accountable.

Also, I would like to know if there is a program of office for scanning?  I prefer to use it instead of the modern HP Scan and capture App.

    Thank you...

    Hi artrum,

I understand that you have been scanning your Officejet 8600 problems using the program window of scanning and Capture. I will certainly do my best to help you with this!

What you explained, I think: you're right, it seems that it is only a problem with scanning windows and the Capture program and as you could scan from the front of the printer you certainly have the HP software installed. I want to make is that you use the HP scanning software, where you must run is no longer in question.

To access the HP scanning software and be able to access it easily from your Office I would like you to follow the steps below:

1 go to your start screen and just start typing File Explorer. You should be able to open it then to access the files on your computer.

2 then open Local (c) disc, followed by Program Files (x 86), followed by HP, then HP Officejet Pro 8600, followed finally by bin.

    3. in the bin folder, you should see HPScan. You will want to right click on HPScan and go to send to, and then select Desktop.

Now, you should see HP Scan on your desktop and be able to open and browse this request.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!
