OfficeJet 8500 Network Install problems w / router Dlink DIR655

I can't get a Dlink DIR655 router to allow an Officejet 8500 complete installation of the software on the network. In XP, the printer configuration page has verified it is up and running, has an IP etc. I have tried everything I can find on the router and computer, closing firewall, antivirus. change the router settings and enabling except addresses etc. Someone at - it ideas? Work very well etc, Internet network that allows other computers to access the internet.

Thanks for any thougts or help,

Albie

Thank you for the replies, I solved it and it may be worth to post it here.

Manually, I entered an IP address to match the range of the router, but could not get the software to install, with the help of a technician HP online by plugging directly into the router. Plug on the home network wired, rendering the printer not available online.

Here is some of the best. I just had a connection 2nd broadband ISP of Shaw cable, our television provider and used in this regard to implement this printer. I bought the identical DLink 655 Router I use as a DSL connection if the telephone line. (I wanted a 2nd backup internet and I also wanted to test the speed of 2 services)

Once I lost the printer when connected off the router, I took the router of Shaw in offline mode and plugged the router DSL for the home network. THE PRINTER WORKED PERFECTLY! What a great lesson for a guy who has spent many hours reading and following all possible solutions, he could find!

So for anyone out there that might help, I thought that I post and once again thank everyone for their great posts and help here, as well as responses to me.

Either way, Shaw router started blocking my outgoing email this morning. Another thing, they make for us to send our email out through another address, one of them.

I hope I helped someone along the way.

Best wishes of the season for everyone

  • Network with HP Officejet 8500 A910A connectivity problem

    Network router: Linksys E4200

Previously connected this printer on the network without any problems.

Moved the printer to a new room and can connect is more.

I am a professional computer experience and I'm stumped.

I realize that closing the printer will probably caused a new IP address will be assigned by DHCP and we tried to work around that.

Reset printer to factory default and reinstalled and reconnected to the network. Router can see the printer and now I have manually configured a static IP address for the printer. 192.168.1.101

Router can ping the printer with no problems.

None of my Windows 7 machines can ping the printer. I used the HP Support Assistant. You can find regularly but rarely the printer on the network. Even when it does not find the printer I still cannot ping it the same machine through the command line. I used printing HP and doctor Scan to check the network settings and I configured the static IP address on the printer to match the same subnet mask and gateway as found via the diagnostic tool. Still no dice.

Puzzled and would like to know the pointers.

    Thanks in advance!

    Greg

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Linksys DHCP IP 192.168.1.100 are thru.254 if I remember correctly.  You have a static IP address within the range the router DHCP.  You must configure the static IP address of 192.168.1.2 a.99.    Try using 192.168.1.10 as a static IP address.  Now go back and reinstall the drivers and full software.  Try now.

I'm in the menu of configuration (via the browser)-> Scan-Digital Filing-> Configuration of the network folder and informed all of the required fields:

Also tried in a shared folder on the network: \\MAARTEN\Users\Maarten

But I still get the message: username or password is incorrect. Make sure that the user account and password are valid.

Can someone help me please? Thank you.

Well, I guess I'll just answer to myself that HP is busy doing other things (fixing their crappy software and customer support maybe?).

I fixed it myself afterwards, even if now I get this error scanner TWAIN or something. Not worth more, HP is at the door!

Tip for HP: focus more on consumers and windows not only companies and do something for your software!

Thanks for nothing! you want to fix people crap HP? It is best to throw it out the window!

  • OfficeJet L7590 network scanning problem

    Hello

Scanning feature on my OfficeJet L7590 recently stopped working for no obvious reason (print work very well physical scanner is also ok for copying of works).

I tried to uninstall/reinstall the driver as well as the doctor printing & scanning running and after a few more tips that I have found here, but without success.  Operating system is Windows 7 x 64.

In fact, the doctor complains that the driver cannot communicate with scanner (both with and without firewall) disabled. But the strange thing is that network capture shows nice 2 - way communication on ports 9220, 9500 and 80. I enclose the capture of the file here https://www.dropbox.com/s/4pdagls54khx6od/scantest.pcapng for a short session of doctor (detection, Test scanning, error, exit). In the screenshot, my PC IP 192.168.0.101 and peripheral HP is 192.168.0.105.

I'll be very grateful for any suggestion.

For the case where a person with a similar problem this thread:

I was finally able to solve.

In short, the culprit was 9 DrWeb antivirus that I improved long - specifically their Mail protection module which I have not yet used. It turns out that they insist on all network connections control in (vain, imho) hope to detect the traffic of mail on non-standard ports. But their detection is bug, so that they somehow are SMTP in traffic to the port printer 9220 and tried to proxy-filter - corrupts everything, of course.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled without this module, and now everything works well =)

Go to submit a bug report to them, too

  • My HP Officejet 4500 printer install problem

The installation process is probably a failure at one point causing an incomplete installation. Have you tried to do a complete uninstall and reinstall process? If you have any software virus protection try disabling the installation just to limit background probably interfere the installation process applications.

  • OfficeJet 8500 Wireless problem

Hello - my printer all-in-one Officejet 8500 wireless worked fine until I replaced my router to a BT Home Hub 4. I have no problem with the router, but to use the wireless printer, I need to enter the key wireless, so it can connect it. Unfortunately, the upper half of the touch pad on the printer (where you select settings, etc.) does not seem to respond to touch the most so I have no way I know to enter the wireless key. The lower half of the touchpad where you select print options etc. seems to work very well.

Is there a way I can work around by using the button on the printer? That's my problem can be solved easily or do I need an engineer visit?

I use a MacBook Pro and iPad to print from then I am unable to use HP Print & Scan Doctor (although I could use that I don't know if this can help with the kind of problem I have).

    Please can someone help?

    Hey heavy-lou.

I see that you have an Officejet 8500 Wireless and have a problem with the get connected to your BT Home Hub 4 router due to a problem with the screen on the printer.  I understand that you want to use the wireless printer, but it can be a little difficult to connect via the front panel with the display problem you mention.

Temporarily, I would advise the printer connected with an Ethernet cable to get a valid IP address on the BT Home Hub 4.  Due to the display problem, it can be difficult to print a page of Network Configuration of the device.  However, the steps to do so can be found here.  However, you can access the SAP (built-in web server) the BT Home Hub 4 by typing the IP address of the network domain in a browser bar and pressing ENTER.  Once here you find the complete list of devices connected to the network and see what IP the HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless is assigned.

Once you have the IP address of the printer, you can then type the following in a browser's address bar to access the Web integrated printer server.  In this section, you will be able to select the network tab and run the Wireless Setup Wizard is located in the SAP of the printer.  It will be able to bypass the display problem.  If necessary, check the encryption for the printer settings in the EWS network section to make sure that the settings are compatible with the current encryption on your network type (WEP, WPA, etc.).  Once the complete wireless Setup Wizard it will ask that the product be disconnected Ethernet network that the printer is supported both at the same time.

I would like to know if it is able to help get your printer connected wireless to your BT Home Hub 4

  • I have an Officejet 8500 has more, but he can't find my Linksys router

I just bought an Officejet 8500 a more printer,.

It does not detect my router Linksys (WPA), all the other networks in this area are visible, except our Linksys router, with WPA security.

Tried to set up with the software, plug the USB printer and tried to connect the linksys router, it say: you are out of reach of your wifi access point (something like that)

    Help?

    Here are some tips:

    1. ensure that 802.11 g is present.  Other modes (such as 802.11n) wireless are OK, but g must be present.

2 broadcasting your SSID and don't use MAC filtering.

    3. make sure that your router has the latest firmware.

Internet - network driver problem does not connect and I see that the drivers are missing. I tried searching the site, but I can't find the driver.

It's not a hardware issue because I can put the other drive and it works fine.

    All of the suggestions.

    Thank you.

    Hello:

Page for your model motherboard plug indicates that there is a CG-RTL8151GH-Realtek gigabit ethernet card.

See if the W7 directly from Realtek driver works - 3rd driver on the list.

  • Router C4780 wireless network belkin problem

I have a C4780 which worked well for several years with at least 2 previous routers. I have a Belkin AC1800DB have changed recently and now unable to connect to the router (laptops are connected wirelessly to Belkin WPA2 network without problem).

When I run a network of C4780 test report it says local networks are detected (including Belkin WPA2) but shoes FAIL against network name SSID found. Similarly the wireless Assistant from the installation disc, the list of available SSIDS for the connection is empty. C4780 both Belkin have WPS, but this does not work in mode button or Pin.

Because the problem is to find the SSID for all networks I do not think that his associate Belkin (just strange that the problem occurs at the moment I change the router).  But as the C4780 connected perfectly to my previous router, that I do not understand why I now this problem of wireless network connection.

Try this.   Configure the router to a wireless channel fixed as 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto '.   'Mixed' mode, try now.

  • OfficeJet 8500 Prime will not connect to wireless for the scanning of email

    HP Officejet 8500 first.

    Western Digital N900 router

Printer is connected to my home wireless network and wireless to my HP Pavilion laptop (which is in the same room).

I felt for a few years and I do a LOT of scans to myself on my e-mail and rarely have problems.

About a month ago, I got a new wireless router, and the problems started.

I had the wireless configuration.  Printer connect to my home wireless.

If I try to scan to e-mail, I get a message "unable to connect to the server. Check the address and the name of the server.

I can print from my laptop very well (wireless)

I have run the wireless network test report (which incidentially, does NOT use the default tray as specified in default values, so I have to remove the media in a status bar and replace them with paper to make turn this test).

    All passes.

    very good signal strength.

no other network with the same ssid

    Wireless networkes detected: 3

    Channel 11

    everything looks great.

I connect to my router (from my wireless laptop).

My router says that the printer is on the network.

I turned off/power on router to reset.

I tried the reset network default printer and returning via the wireless Assistant.

I tried another wireless (5g below)

I got the preferred wireless network name and password several times.

I turned the printer deactivation / activation.

    The SSID signal is using 2.4 Ghz (802.11 B + g + n) 20 / 40 mhz channel (auto) AND I ALSO tried with channel (11) just

The router includes a 5 GHz (802.11 a + n), but the printer never sees this SSID, and tried manually enter the name and password as well.

I get the same error every time.

Sounds like you arehaving problems with scanning to email. Can you tell me first if you have tried all the other email accounts other than the one you are using. According to the security on the SMTP servers for the customer, you will have to go and try another account. I suggest to make a Gmail account and attempt to put in place the new feature.

I would like to know how this happens, and I'll get back right with you!
