OfficeJet 6600: Officejet 6600 & compatibility of Yosemite

Printer Officejet 6600 and Yosemite are entirely compatible? When I upgraded my MBP to the Mavericks, I lost some features with my old 5600.  I'm thinking of buying a new MBP and don't know if I want Mavericks or Yosemite. Now, I have the 6600 and I don't want to lose once again features.

Hello

The printer is fully compatible with Yosemite.

Add the printer to your Mac in Printers & Scanners, the latest drivers will be installed from Apple servers.

Then install the HP Easy Scan and you will be provided with all the features such as the OCR, Panel before scanning, etc.

The HP Easy Scan application can be installed from the following link:

I downloaded the driver after that I upgraded my OS to Yosemite Lion. I can scan, but the sweep has lost a lot of features.

-Can I change is no longer - if the scan is available in twisted, I don't have the old icons that allow me to adjust or vegetation

-The menu bar does not include file that allows you to save the document or determining the place where to drop it

-It is difficult to scan several pages - the box "combine documents" that appears in the details, see does not; I now use a third-party application to combine scanned pages. There used to be a new Scan and Scan option to address several pages.

-There is no thumbnails to the left of the full view of the last scanned image that would allow me to reeordering or delete pages

    1. is there something I can do to restore these features?

    2. How can I put the scanner on the dock icon? I also used to have an icon of the scanner on my dock, which took me directly to scan. After the update, I hung a picture of the printer to my dock.  But when I click it, it opens a window with break and the settings on the top and a picture of the scanner on the right which must be clicked before scanning.

    Hello mary477,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that you have some problems of digitization because you upgraded the operating system to Yosemite.

The reason why you are having problems is because the printer is not a software package available for Yosemite as of yet.

You will base on the unit with printing features and technologies of analysis, but unfortunately, that's all.

I suggest that you click on the following link and sign up for updates on the drivers and software that may be available in the future.

    Thank you for your time.

    See you soon,.

  • Studio MX - dreamweaver compatibility with Yosemite

I've been using Macromedia MX Studio with Dreamweaver and other applications. After I updatedd for MAC OS Yosemite, they stopped working. No fixed please. Thank you

MX is much too old to work with modern operating system.  Adobe stopped it support many years ago.

Why did you even consider an upgrade to Yosemite?

If you use DW on Yosemite, you will need to pass to CC or CS6.

  • Illustrator CS5 closes unexpectedly when you try to save a file - compatibility of Yosemite?

I have a new Macbook Pro OS X Yosemite, with Creative Suite CS5 installed and updated to version 15.0.2. I never had problems with the software in the past, but since I have it installed on my new machine whenever I try to save a file in Illustrator it closes unexpectedly and I get the error on the accident report:

Crashed thread: 0 dispatch queue: com.apple.main - wire

    Exception type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)

    Exception codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x000000001c57c758

After reading some of the other threads, I tried to validate all my fonts and deletion of a question, without success. I have not a printer is installed and I ran a diagnostic on my system and it come clean. I do not know how to verify permissions, or how to search for and delete the folder settings, which is what has suggested another thread.  I'm at a total loss about how to fix this problem, and I'm unable to save Illustrator files in any capacity. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The problem seems to be in interaction with the apple code. Have you tried with a new user account and see if it works there? If this isn't the case, then you could try to uninstall, run the cleanup tool and reinstall CS5 and then update to 15.0.2 before anything else.

  • Yosemite - Creative Suite 5 - updates will not install

    Hello

I have an iMac running Yosemite 10.10.2 and I have problems updating my CS5.

The Manager Application attracted my attention on updates, but when I tried to update, all updates failed to install:

Some updates could not be installed:

The following updates failed to install. If you want to install these updates, fix the issues below and try again:

CS5 Adobe Extension Manager 5.0 updated

There was an error downloading this update. Quit and try again later.

    Dreamweaver CS5 11.0.4 Updater

There was an error downloading this update. Quit and try again later.

When I try the installation manual I get this since Adobe Application Manager:

Some updates failed to install (but from what I can tell, he has not yet tried)

    Update is not applicable

I did not use the applications completely still, so I don't know if I'm missing something huge. Outside the security and bug fixes of course, but they seem to be well-developed so I don't know how I'd be worried about not being able to install these updates? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. I search but found no solution if the manual installation does not work, so if there is already a thread on this, I apologize in advance.

    Thank you.

As you say yourself - minor bugs that may not be relevant for you. Missing probably not anything. Otherwise, I'd be more concerned with General compatibility on Yosemite...

  • Afraid to upgrade to El Capitan

When I upgraded from the Mavericks in Yosemite, some of my software did not work right.  The 2 that I am concerned about are Quicken and Family Tree Maker.  I had to pay to upgrade to ensure compatibility with Yosemite.  Now, you have El Capitan.  I can't afford to upgrade again.  In fact I have the latest version of Family Tree Maker, so if I go to El Capitan, there's nothing I can do the upgrade of the Family Tree Maker.  I'm just a normal housewife everyday ordinary user.  I don't use a lot of the ability of Mac.  It is worth the upgrade to El Capitan for me.

Hi Carla15and welcome to the VMware communities!

Your Mac has been upgraded to Yosemite (OS X 10.10), but 5 merger is too old to be compatible with Yosemite.  You must upgrade to 6.0.5 Fusion or Fusion 7 for compatibility with Yosemite.

    See you soon,.
