  Siri on ATV4 is pretty basic in its functionality and reliability in terms of understanding people. Apple is working on it to bring it to other countries and more people. Siri on ATV4 is an all new Siri. It does not use the same databases as the 'old' Siri, we all know from our iDevices. It will take Apple some time to update ATV4-Siri. Now we have only two choices: return the ATV4 if you are not happy with its current features, or wait for the updates of tvOS.

• Siri remote control does not

  After non-boxe my gen 4 apple TV and reload the remote Siri, I tried to set up my Apple TV. I plugged everything and came to the screen "select your country or region." • Remote Siri - Siri button malfunction

  I have two ATV4 and two did not have the same problem: Siri does not work (or more). If I press and hold the Button Siri (no matter if on the main screen, in an application, or a keyboard to impose something to search) and take the floor, nothing happens. Siri does not recognize that I am speaking. Instead, when you release the button, Siri talk to me which is currently highlighted. For example: if I'm in a movie about a movie app, press and release button Siri results in Siri speak the entire description. When on a keyboard, press and release the button results Siri in Siri speak the letter highlighted real (it makes even the difference between small and large letters).

  Now the curious part:

  Voiceover is disabled, accessibility features are turned off and Audio descriptions are off, too.

  So, what happens here? I do not know. I did a soft reset, a hard reset and even a total reset to factory settings, but the problem remains.

  P.S.: I use Apple TV 4 in Germany and Yes, Siri is available here. He worked at the beginning. He stopped working for a few weeks (or months).

  There is a problem with the zoom accessibility feature. If you do not have this option you might start by re-twinning of the remote control.

  I just bought a 4th gen Apple TV and I'm experimenting with everything that can make the Siri to button on the remote control.  I tried to use it to turn my lights on and outside, and I received the message "Sorry, I can't help with HomeKit here."  Am I reason to assume this isn't allowed / supported?  Curious to know why, as the Apple TV also serves as the gateway so that I can control my HomeKt remote devices from my phone (which is currently working).

  That is right. Although the ATV4 HomeKit capable Siri on tvOS is not yet supported. My hypothesis is that Siri visibility will increase.  Just as the music was not included until 9.1. I expect more integration through software updates.  That said, being a user forum, and not something I've seen confirmed by Apple...

Now that Siri debuted on Macs, Siri remote will work on this subject?

  I think that the distance of Siri will work as a remote IR for your Mac. However, the functions of Siri are currently limit to 4 ATV.
