Offsets temporary w. wheel of death

Hello

I got these lags (wheel of death) in El Capitan in recent months: short periods of frost, sometimes a single application, sometimes the whole system. The music stop and it is particularly regular during playback of files high resolution in iTunes - happens every 2-4 minutes.

So I recently decided to reinstall OS X I did a clean install, where I erased my HD and music and apps added manually. I have an SSD 512 GB and recently changed my HD cable also. Once installed the cleaning, everything has worked perfectly for a day - played an entire album in high resolution without interruption; then the problem comes back after I added 200 GB and more music (file-by-file). Then I made another installation of recovery without erasing my HD and found my same laptop with the same problem. I also created a new user, that has not changed anything either. Disabled iCould too and tried different things, I found online here and there... The computer is fast and responsive, aside from the GAL.

My mac is a 13.3 "Macbook pro mid-2012, 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 GB of Ram. 1600 Mhz running OS 10.11.3

After reading this forum, I opened the Console and recorded events to the harsh times. Here is an excerpt of what I saw:

Any ideas what to do? I'm going nuts here...

Kind regards

Anders

Hi Anders:

You said that you have a 512 GB SSD. You have activated Trim. Support OS X 10.11.3 Trim. Trim is responsible for what they call the garbage collection. All I know is that if you do not prune installed your SSD will slow down to a crawl when it starts to fill up.

To activate the Trim:

To activate the TRIM, first save all your open documents as this will restart your Mac.

(1) launch the Terminal.

(2) type 'sudo trimforce enable '.

(3) confirm that you want to activate the trim.

(4) restart your Mac.

To check the TRIM is enabled, click the Apple icon at the top left of your screen. Choose "About this Mac"-> 'Report the system'-> ' SATA/SATA Express' and look for the entry 'Support of Trim. It should say 'yes' if the pad has been activated.

Also, you can try to download and install EtreCheck http://etrecheck.com/ and post the results here. Perhaps it will offer some clues.

Whenever I run the application LR CC, it crashes. The spinning wheel of death appears and I have to force quit. What is going on?

    Kristina,

I wonder if you can encounter the same problem I am. The same thing happens to me, however, rather than force quit Lightroom, I let stand for about 5 minutes and then everything seems to work. Are you using 2015.4? If so, you could try to roll back to 2015.3, which is what I've done Adobe sinus support could not solve my problem. You can also try to create another user account and open Lightroom. The problem is gone then, and this is the point at which Adobe support said it was an OS X problem and not a problem of Adobe.

  • Wheel of death when I start ACC on Windows 8.1

    Hello

After I restarted my computer this morning and I am now unable to successfully launch the VAC. I googled the solution and I did everything on this document (App won't open |) Wheels of progress turn continuously). I had an older version of PS and I deleted it, I tried to rename and delete the OOBE folder. I tried to run as administrator, I rebooted maybe 20 times and nothing works. I figured out how to get the program actually appear (end all tasks of the ACC and run support CEF then run CC as an administrator), but the program has just the blue arrow. I really need a solution that works or I need an email to contact support because the 'Web' site maintains just redirect me to the page "App will not open. Your promise of support isn't exactly very accurate because it is impossible to find any email, phone number or chat live (as someone else has said in another thread). I would really like to have ACCESS to successfully launch so I can install my programs.

    Thank you

Kyle what version of the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application you have installed?  You can find the version by clicking on the option of the machine, then go to preferences.  Also can you confirm the location of the OOBE folder which you removed?

  • When I opened the trash I spinning wheel of death

    MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inch, mid-2014). 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7. 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3. Yosemite 10.10.5.

Thanks in advance for any help. I'm reviewing my files ransacked before emptying since everyone trashes things as they see fit. In the past I was able to drag all the files I want to keep it out of the trash in a folder 'save' on the desktop then empty what's left in the trash.

Now when I click on the trash icon file opens, I can see the list of files, but then the spinning wheel is displayed immediately. The computer doesn't gel (I use any other program) but Finder freezes and I can't Force Quit/relaunch. (Trash is then closed). I can reopen it Trash, but the same thing happens again.

All options in addition to a program or terminal to empty force command the trash until I can't view it?

    Thank you, all the...

    May be a corrupt .plist.

Make a backup, preferably 2 backups on 2 separate drives.

Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select the library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist.  Move the .plist on your desktop.

Relaunch the Finder by restarting the computer and test. If it works fine, delete the plist for the office.

If the same, return the .plist to where you have it since, by crushing the latest.

Thanks to leonie for certain information contained in this.

If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  • Spinning wheel of death does not allow me to disable the MacBook Pro.

This is a MacBook Pro with El Capitan 2015. I was alerted to update. Mission accomplished. Then I was offered the encryption service, I went to download. The window "Setting your Mac upward", appeared. Then the spinning wheel appeared. It was about 15 minutes without change. What can I do? How I close safely down. I have an external hard drive. Thinking that may be related, I unplugged it. However, the wheel keeps spinning.

  • Slow to start, the spinning wheel of death and typing delayed.

Hello! Lately my MBPR 15 inch, early 2013, responds slowly. I currently have El Capitan 10.11.3 installed. The start-up took longer when I had installed Yosemite. After I login, Finder become spinning wheel for at least 10 seconds while it is slow to respond and asks to load time has increased. Randomly when I type, as I am now typing, he rowed for a short period of time, then becomes the spinning wheel.

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

The title of the Console window should be all Messages. If it isn't, select

SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ all Messages

in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select

List of newspapers seen ▹ display

in the menu at the top of the screen bar.

Each message in the journal begins with the date and time when it was entered. Highlight date back to the time you noted above.

Select the messages entered since then until the end of the episode, or until they begin to repeat, whichever comes first.

Copy messages to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command + V.

The journal contains a large amount of information, almost all this is useless to solve any particular problem. When you post a journal excerpt, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Please don't dump blindly thousands of lines in the journal in this discussion.

Please do not post screenshots of log messages - text poster.

Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

When you post the journal excerpt, an error message may appear on the web page: "you include content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.

  • Spinning wheel of death, all applications!

Since yesterday my desktop Mac is very slow and showing the spinning wheel in absolutely all applications I use.

I run OnyX, did a scan complete McAfee, rebooted and came back a month using time machine and yet nothing made a difference.

I have limited capabilities with computers but you can follow instructions well.  I hope someone here can point me in the right sense to be able to deal with the issue.

Everything you need to know, please ask away and I'll try my best to provide you with information.

    Try restarting your Mac.

    Try to start:

    -Stop your Mac

-Wait until your computer turns off and after that press the power button

-Just after you hear the startup tone, press in and hold the SHIFT key

-Release the SHIFT key when you see a gray Apple sign and the progress under this sign bar

-Once your Mac boot, restart dhcpd as you usually do.

If this does not help, follow the instructions below:

    -Stop your Mac

-Wait until your computer turns off and after that press the power button

-Just after you hear the startup tone, press in and hold the SHIFT key

-Release the SHIFT key when you see a gray Apple sign and the progress under this sign bar

-Once you see office, start a scan Disk Utility to detect and repair file system errors (remember to choose your primary hard drive)

-Click on the disc to check, then, if requested to solve the problems on the repair disk

-After that click on verify disk permissions, and then click Repair disk permissions

-Once the process is complete, stop your Mac and turn it on again after 30 seconds

Apart from this, take a look at this article from Apple and follow the instructions to reset NVRAM shown here:How to reset the NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

Try resetting the system management controller: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

Run this test and post the results here.

  • Lightroom 6 wheel of death (stand-alone version on Mac)

I had the stand-alone version of LR 6 May 24 and it worked for a while. Now I'm dead wheel no matter if I try to use the existing catalog or open a new one. Absolutely no answer other than the start window and the wheel of detah.

We have uninstalled the previous version and installed it again. That solved the problem. For unknown reasons.

  • Why do you always do the spinning wheel of death while trying to open a program CC?

He ends by open or hold on and I have to try again.  Waaay sloooow - my CS5.5 is better - what's the problem?  With the help of Mac OS X Lion and I have a lot of memory.

Everyone knows about this problem? -I don't have time to wait several minutes for a program to open.

    Hi bludetailsdesigns,

You can try these & check.

    1. If the internet is very good that so maybe it's becase of files cloud creatives, please try the steps here described in http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/unknown-server-error-launchin g - cc.html and see if it works.

    2. Please navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db and trash. Try running the CC Office and sign in with your Adobe (iles.html http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-f) ID.

{Step 2 note: the file is located in the user's library, not the Applications folder.} To see hidden user library (not the library system) in the Finder , click on the item of menu go , then hold the Alt / Option key. You will see library appear between the House and the computer. Clicklibrary , and then navigate to Application Support > Adobe > OOBE.

You can also open the Terminal and paste later and then press entry / back :

    {RM ~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db, this will also remove the file}

    Hope it works.

    Kind regards

    Baudier
