  With pop ups offering cat etc. support looks like you have some hidden malware/spyware. Download MalwareBytes and make a scan complete/clean. The free version works fine, no need to go for the pro version, unless you want to.

  First of all, you can try to backup or copy the current files of the fax or the folder itself to an external device such as a Flash DRIVE or CD etc.

  On the Windows 7 computer, open Windows Fax and Scan application navigate to tools > Fax settings > advanced.  You should find an entry for archive fax (inbox\sent points).  You can make a note of the default location and browse to the location and settle fax files.
