Old update put my windows 7 crashed

I installed old my windows7 update this morning, 13/01/2011.

After reboot, it shows the blue screen and restart.

Promot fix me, unfortuantely, I have no point of restoration implemented. I can't fix my windows7.

Is there a way of removing old update and restart my windows 7?

just press F8 while your system is booting - choose Safe mode (your previous configuration will be restored automatically - it restarts after that - Bluescreen only appear after that until this update gets reinstalled - in order to avoid that go to windows update do a right-click on the update and select "Hide update".)

  • Windows Update put my computer in "out of area" condition

I have a brand new computer.  Dell Inspiron 1750 with Windows 7 Home Premium.

After that I got a few weeks Windows Update popped up window.  He said I had 19 critical updates and I wanted to install.  I opted for the 'yes '.

The program is run and then it says the computer needed to restart to complete the installation and I want to restart my computer now.  I opted for the 'yes '.

Restart the computer and to my horror, everything I had done to the appearance of my top Office was gone!  He looked exactly as it did when I put on the computer.  My picture has disappeared, the pier was in its original position, all of the icons for the programs were gone from the dock and the taskbar!

I did not go further... I went immediately to the restoration of the system, and thankfully it restored successfully!

But now I'm afraid to always install updates.

I contacted the support of Windows, but they said I would have to pay for more information and then they would not tell me how to pay support!

I contacted Dell, but I talked to a technician for more than 40 minutes and it took 35 of them just for him to understand what the problem was!  It must have been in India.

I contacted Staples where I bought the computer and immediately, they knew that the problem was something that Microsoft would have to answer.  So it took back me to alternate.  Accomplished nothing.

Microsoft sent me here.  I pray so that someone knows what's going on and can help me because I was in tears and want to kill the support of Windows!

What application or antivirus security suite is installed and your current subscription?  What anti-spyware (other than Defender) applications?  What third-party firewall (if applicable)?

A (another) Norton or McAfee application has already been installed on the computer (for example, a free trial version which is preinstalled when you bought it)?

Visit the Microsoft Solution Center and antivirus security for resources and tools to keep your PC safe and healthy. If you have problems with the installation of the update itself, visit the Microsoft Update Support for resources and tools to keep your PC updated with the latest updates.

  • can I delete old updates of windows to free up disk space?

I was wondering if there is no safe way to remove old updates from windows on windows xp for free disk space.

You can even if it is not recommended, you may move them to another location, like a flashdrive if disk space is a problem.

"Uninstall folders that have (for example in the framework of the name

Hot Fix update of the folders/files) can be removed safely (providing you never)
wish to uninstall updates). I recommend leaving these records for
a period of at least a month to make sure that the update works correctly.

These updates can be removed individually or together. Learn more
    on the update/s go to:

Once you have removed the uninstall folders/files, then go to control panel,
Add/Remove programs. Select the fix title corresponding Windows on the
Update folder/file you just remove and select Remove. You will get a
Windows error. This is because you deleted the uninstall folder/files.
Simply choose OK and the entry will be removed from Add/Remove programs
    List. »

Important: Do not touch/move/delete or do anything with the record of $ $hf_mig. Leave only one.

NB - the above applies only to Windows XP.

  • Impossible to install missing old updates of Windows XP-

I am told that I have a lot of older Windows XP updates missing who might be a threat to my safety. I have Windows XP Pro Media Center edition SP3.

I received prior assistance from a person who has provided support to Microsoft for a tech forum. She began to date of all the tests she could think to search for missing persons. We also tried to reinstall KB978601, an old update, time & time without success.

I started with AVG free edition, but now I use Trend Micro Titanium Security 2011 my virus protection. We have also conducted tests with & without my virus protection on.  Finally, it was suggested that I try this site for answers. I currently receive all the updates with no problems and I'm not sure the updates, Miss me him. As I mentioned before, told me that even if they are more updated that the fact of not having them is a threat.

Update of root certificate will not be listed in Add/Remove programs.

Note: Updates of root certificates usually come out every 3-4 months. While the updates of root certificates are installed automatically in Vista & Win7, Windows XP users must install manually via the Windows Update Web site [what were thinking?] then make sure you run all CUSTOM analysis a few months, so to see if a root certificates update became available.

  • Windows Update offers me a few old updates, is there a way to track and organize the installation of update history?

    Original title: update windows

I am regularly offered 'old' updates for installation, for example, KB2487367 published 05/08/2011. Is it possible to copy my Windows Update history file to an Excel file? I could then sort by number of update and avoid download/installation of the old updates. Or better yet, is there a historic Windows Update file that is already sorted by number of update?

Yes, it was installed successfully (according to the history of the update). No indication that it was available on resetting for several days. I went through my entire history of update to see if/when it has been previously installed. It is not a major concern for download and install. Am I better turn off just the download of 'important' updates offered by Microsoft? He done wrong to "re-download"?

If you install, you may need it.  You only * need * to install critical / security updates really.

If the update installs correctly and not is not offered on several occasions "burst" - there is no harm in just letting Windows Update just "doing his thing"...

    Hello

Have you ever had the opportunity to perform the troubleshooting Windows Update tool or the difficulty he 50202 automated or remove the content of %windir%\SoftwareDistribution\download (download the file( ) or rename the folder to SoftwareDistribution.old .

You can open updates installed by clicking the Start button, clicking on 'Control Panel', click on 'Programs', then, under "Programs and features", by clicking on "view installed updates".

See "View installed updates". If you find the old updates, then it is installed.

is there a cleaner free update for old updates of windows. mine go back to 2010. If I delete them manually. I have to restart my computer for each of them. How to remove the 'old' and what goes back to remove.it looks like repetitions of 6 years

Cleaning Windows Update option is available only when you log on with administrator permissions.

Select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, right-click on disk cleanup, click on Run as Administrator. Scroll the menu drop down and you should see the option of cleaning of Windows Update. Check the box before this option.

Select Start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, cleaning disk to emptying your trash, delete temporary Internet files and other selected options. I recommend also you click Other Options , the System Restore tab and delete all but the last system restore point. Run Disk Defragmenter.

Windows 8 crashed during the last update. Stuck at 30% for more than 4 hours before I finally pressed the power button to restart the system. Windows 8 Pro with Media Center now says system build 9200 at the bottom right of the screen.

Whenever I try to activate Windows 8, it cannot connect. When you use the command prompt Windows + R and slui 3 with my purchased serial number I get Code 0 x 80070424. Description: The specified service does not exist as an installed service.

It was reported many problems with older versions of PSE and WIN10.

Can you open PSE from office or from the list of programs on the start menu?
